i know ive said this before but there's like. a sliding scale of transfem readings that go from "i think it would be fun" to "i think this character's relationship to gender is very similar to that of a transfem person's and i want to explore that" to "this character is deliberately written and coded as a transfeminized person the author is just being transmisogynistic"
the third category is alternatively, occasionally, "the author put a lot of 'him'self into this character and. well."
