I've been wearing Clark's for years

I've been wearing Clark's for years, in particular their flip flop style sandals (cloudsteppers, etc). I have at least 5 pairs in my closet in various colors. The last pair I got was disappointing. They are no longer leather uppers, just some cheap man-made material. Within a very short time, this man-made material started splitting and peeling off of the sandals. I can't wear them in public. I contacted Clark's and they sent me a 15% off code that could only be used on a full price pair at Clark's. I wouldn't pay $10 for another cheap pair like the ones I have. I am so disappointed not knowing what brand to try next but I won't buy Clark's.

My order got "stuck".

I have two pairs of Clarks that were purchased abroad. I tried to purchase two more pairs but when they arrived they were too small. So I returned them for the next size up. The exchange went smoothly and I received the next pair but they also were too small. So I sent them back in return for the next size up. I was informed that the return was received and then I heard nothing. Finally I called and was told that the order was "stuck" and I could only receive a refund at this time. I really wanted those shoes. I have not yet received a refund. I will be calling again tomorrow.

I have wide feet and this is the first…

I have wide feet and this is the first time that the boot won’t fit the leather is not flexible I want to return them for a shoe if possible please provide me a return label

Clarks ne tient pas SES engagements, pourtant écrits et envoyés avec la commande

Très grosse déception pour mon ami qui est un habitué et amateur des chaussures CLARKS. Ne trouvant quasi plus cette marque en magasin, il commande deux paires de chaussures sur le site (230 euros). Les chaussures arrivent en temps, mais malheureusement, sont trop grandes.
"Pas grave" se dit-il (un peu déçu car les chaussures sont magnifiques), je vais les échanger.
Dans l'emballage d'envoi, il y a une note qui signale mot pour mot "Si vous n'êtes pas satisfait de l'un de vos articles, vous pouvez le retourner gratuitement".
Il faut ensuite visiter le site où il est indiqué que le retour n'est pas gratuit, mais payant.
Nous contactons CLARKS en expliquant et en mettant le message de gratuité en copie. La seule réponse reçue est, en gros "c'est comme ça".
Très déçu par cette politique de gestion des retours, les chaussures repartiront et Clarks (qui s'en moquera certainement) perd un très bon client.
Ce commentaire servira peut-être à mettre en garde quelques futurs clients.

Ce n’est absolument pas l’expérience que nous souhaitons offrir.
Vous avez raison : la note indiquant des retours gratuits aurait dû être cohérente avec les informations présentes sur notre site. Nous avons récemment modifié notre politique de retours, ce qui peut malheureusement entraîner des incohérences dans certaines communications ou sur certains emballages.
Nous vous présentons nos sincères excuses pour cette confusion ainsi que pour la réponse insuffisamment aidante que vous avez reçue. Soyez assuré(e) que nous avons désormais retiré toutes les mentions obsolètes de nos emballages afin d’éviter que cela ne se reproduise.

Poor customer service experience

I have been a Clarks customer for many years and their shoes have been a staple in my wardrobe. However, after my latest experience trying to buy 2 pair of women's boots, I will not make an online purchase again from their website. There was a problem placing my order and I received no help to resolve the issue when I called their customer service number twice. The agent said they had no supervisor who I could talk to and would have someone call me back within 24-48 hours. I never received a call back and am still waiting for their phone call. I have never dealt with a business that did not have a manager or supervisor who a customer could speak to if necessary. The only way I could buy the shoes was to have a friend place the order for me. I have immaculate credit and there was nothing wrong with the 3 credit cards I tried to use to purchase the boots. Then, the boots were shipped in a plastic bag which does not offer any protection to the shoe boxes inside and one box was damaged from being dropped in transit. Shoes should NEVER be shipped in plastic bags, but should be shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes. I am returning the damaged pair of boots and will not place an online order again. Their prices and quality of their shoes is excellent, but their customer service is unacceptable for a reputable company that has been in business for so many years. Customer service is not what is once was and businesses do not care about their customers in today's marketplace, and this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not recommended.

I purchased for the holidays and only…

I purchased for the holidays and only to find out that your return policy is 30 days. So my shoes that were a gift , I was not able to return. Yourreturn policy needs to be extended and brought up to date for holiday purchases.

We will not be buying Clark's shoes again.

UPDATE to Clark’s response. Had he been able to get ahold of someone in Customer service, which he tried and got the run around, we would have known. So the privacy issue is bull to me, I would have happily done the return we known. My son in law lives out of state and said he would handle it. The additional amount was also paid by me, the original purchaser. So poor experience all around.
Buyer beware!

The shoes ordered for a Christmas gift were too small, my son in law tried to exchange them for one size up (he read many reviews and that is how he chose the size). Making him return a gift and then charging $50.00 more to repurchase the correct size seems like a really poor way to do business. We will not be buying Clark's shoes again.
