I realize that Freeway is a broker that sets you up with a moving company. The company we were paired with did a great job however the estimate we received was doubled. Make sure and get a binding contract before you sign.

I beg to differ on your response. The problem was you couldn’t do an in-house estimate. We removed a lot of things that were on the list and we really added very minimal so if anything we cut down what was being shipped we sold a lot of stuff to get it down so your response back to me is not correct. I was just thinking about it after your response. I definitely could not recommend you as a service. I would stay away if somebody asked me.

We would like to clarify that the adjustment to your estimate was due to additional items added at the time of pickup. Your inventory increased by 144 cubic feet, which included the following items: 3 wardrobe boxes (60 cf), 1 toolbox (30 cf), 6 XL boxes (30 cf), and 8 XL boxes (24 cf). Had these items not been included, your estimate would have remained the same.
Additionally, packing services were requested at pickup, which were not included in your original order. Any additional services or inventory added at the time of service can affect the final total, which is outlined in the moving agreement.

Beware of their quotes and pricing
Beware of their quotes. They list the items you are moving but give you an unreasonable square footage allowance for the moving estimate. They estimated $2100 when it came to $4800 once my listed move items were loaded by the company they secured for us (yes, Freeway gets their finders fee if $1100 upfront) and you can never reach them again. Poor communications and questionable misquoting practices!!!
This was in reference to a move your quoted from Williamsville NY to Indianapolis, IN. I am happy to talk to someone directly about this; but as I mentioned in my review, my calls to you went unanswered when I reached out several times both during and after the actual move took place.
2/4/2026 In response to your comments made after my review above, I reached out to both my booking agent, Michael, and your customer service department to get an update on whether my pick up move was to occur on January 22nd or 23rd and those numerous calls were not returned!! Then I did talk to your customer service rep today about my bad review about poor communications AND the fact that the items I had provided to your booking agent, Michael, were a third of the square footage needed on the truck and thus my price you quoted for this move was three times higher. Your agent today appeared to forget this part of our conversation.
At this time, I truly hope that my furniture arrives safely and without any more surprises!! Again, I was told that it would arrive in 7-10 days and I do understand that the weather has been dangerous to travel in lately but I would have expected an update from your company in the way of some communications about these delays.

I would like a rebate on the cost of this move and an ETA on when it will arrive.

Thank you for updating your review, as it allowed us to locate your file and conduct a thorough investigation. After reviewing our records, we have pulled all call logs associated with your account. Our findings show that every call made, was either answered or returned. For this reason, we are unclear as to which unanswered calls you may be referring to.
Our records also indicate that we have maintained consistent communication with you regarding your delivery status. At no point during our previous conversations was dissatisfaction expressed. After seeing your review, we made additional efforts to contact you directly to discuss your concerns. During that conversation, the only concern mentioned was regarding delivery timing. As advised, your shipment departed today and is currently in transit.
Please keep in mind that there have been severe weather conditions impacting transportation routes across multiple parts of the country, particularly in the Northern regions, Midwest, and surrounding areas. The safety of our drivers, the public, and your belongings remains our top priority. We cannot operate or transport shipments under unsafe road or weather conditions.
Additionally, your pickup occurred approximately one and a half weeks ago, and your first available delivery date was January 28. Based on these dates, your shipment remains well within the contractual and legal delivery window outlined in your agreement.
If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact our office directly. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

I am writing this to warn others about my experience with Free Way Relocation. Despite giving them a clear, organized list of every item and measurement, the quote they provided was nowhere near accurate. When the movers came — from an entirely different company I was never told about — they immediately said the estimate was completely wrong and that the actual cost would be almost twice as much.
The communication after pickup was just as frustrating. I repeatedly tried to get updates, and every time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Days went by with absolutely no information about where my belongings were or when they would arrive.
Another major red flag: they took a credit card for the initial booking, but then refused to accept credit card for both pickup and delivery. Only cash or Zelle. That alone made me feel very uneasy and misled.
The delivery was then handled by yet another separate company, which was never mentioned during booking. At no point did they tell me multiple companies would be involved, and this lack of transparency is unacceptable.
Overall, this was one of the most unprofessional and misleading moving experiences I’ve ever dealt with. I strongly advise others to stay far away from Free Way Relocation.

My experience with Free Way Relocation was nothing short of a nightmare. I gave them every single detail they asked for — exact item sizes, quantities, and even photos — and they still gave me a completely wrong quote. On the day of pickup, a different company (that I was never informed about) showed up and told me the quote was way off and that the cost would be almost double. At that point, I had no choice but to move forward.
From pickup to delivery, there was zero communication. Every time I called, all they said was “We’ll get back to you,” and then never called back. It felt like they just disappeared with my belongings.
To make things worse, they accepted my credit card for the booking, but suddenly refused to take credit card at pickup or delivery — only cash or Zelle. That alone felt incredibly shady and unprofessional.
When my items finally arrived, it was done by yet another company, again something they never disclosed. So in total, my belongings were handled by multiple companies I never once agreed to, and Free Way Relocation took absolutely no responsibility.
This company is misleading, untrustworthy, and completely lacking in transparency. I would never recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the stress and choose a mover that actually communicates and honors their quotes.

You forgot to mention that your deposit was fully refunded, and you paid with a credit card, so we’re unsure what is that you are referring to. All payment methods are clearly stated in our agreement, and we wish you had taken the time to actually read the contract you signed to avoid this exact situation. You knew very well you had more items than what was mentioned during the initial call.
However, we are glad your items were delivered on time and without any damage. We worked with billing to provide with you a full refund, went above and beyond to accommodate you, yet you turned our goodwill into a negative review.
