Awful sign up process - don’t take my money if you’re putting me through more checks
The sign up process needs reviewing.
Firstly, they don’t tell you you’ll get a credit check. Even talking to them, they’re very vague and didn’t confirm it was a credit check. They call it an affordability check, which in my case, from an affordability standpoint I passed, but don’t have great credit score. I could have not applied in the very first instance if I had known this. Also, it’s good practice to tell consumers they are about to have a credit check against their name.
Secondly, don’t take people’s money (you have to pay £100 upfront) and then take them through a credit check.
If this is the standard of customer experience from the go, I’m not impressed.
Don’t take people’s money if you are then going to do a check. Do the check first. Also, do the check before people have invested in taking pictures and videos.

Quick and easy from start to finish. Really professional and helpful all the way through the process of reviewing the survey to installing the charging point.
Poor installation
The physical side of things was good. The engineer however did not connect the charger to my broadband. Subsequently had to change the broadcast band to 2.4 (originally 5). Since then I have tried a number of times to make the connection with no luck. Desperately need onsite assistance.

Eric couldn’t have been more helpful. He talked me through the issue, sent me emails to support the issue once at home and talked me through the process when I got home. Much needed when o was panicking I had a fault.

Abysmal web interface - dire phone support
Abysmal web interface, which bomed out all the time on both Android and Iphone (I am a software test engineer by trade, so their claims of "memory etc" were a fiction. Finally got to the affordability check, and they claimed I could not afford it. Let's just say with an almost perfect credit rating, no debts bar mortgage, and a salary well in to the 40% bracket, I found this not only a joke, but insulting, so have gone elsewhere.
Edit: Pod got back to me saying it was because my name entry on the credit check didn't match my name on the account.. staggering that this enforced a lock out of any further steps.. and I'll not mention the 28 minutes I was on hold before I gave up waiting to speak to someone..
I've cancelled the order gone elsewhere and have a charger being delivered and fitted within the week

Excellent customer service
PodPoint have been extremely helpful in troubleshooting with an installation of a second hand charger. They provided some extra materials and cabling for the new location and customer service has been extremely helpful. They have been far better than one of the competitors with whom we had a previous charger.

Engineer was really informative, polite. Helpful with all questions, explained everything clearly.
Disorganised
The guy who came out fitted the wrong pod initially and with a cable that wouldn’t have reached the car! He realised we’d previously agreed a different pod needing a long charger (he said he had forgotten this conversation from his previous visit). So after discussion, the other pod was then fitted. Left mess on the tiles with all the brick dust.
