It was a pleasure doing business with Amica for my family's car insurances. I plan to continue using Amica for my insurance needs going forward. Thank you Amica.
As a long time (9 Yrs) Amica policyholder I was shocked to get a whopping 32% increase for next year. If I had filed a few expensive claims, or been tardy paying my premiums, I would be understanding. But that is not the case as I have been on autopay all that time, never filed any claims and been an outstanding customer. I called for an explanation and got the usual stuff about higher costs, etc. I registered a complaint with my state insurance commission. Amica then demanded my credit score and social security #. After having me as a policyholder all these years, they suddenly want my credit score?! I did oblige them with this (credit 7.85). However, I feel certain it was a punitive move on their part. I am no longer with Amica as of the end of the month. I think they wanted me to leave after I complained to the state insurance commission.
When I called for review, updates or accident AMICA employees were kind, helpful and quick to service.

I have had Amica for over 40 years, for home, auto and life, in 5 different states. I loved them, until now. Apparently they no longer want to insure older homes and customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Customer service was horrendous, never getting the same agent on the phone, not returning calls, and no work on their end to insure the house. No driveby, no looking at photos, no looking at the field card. It has been the most stressful experience in buying this home. They are not the company they used to be.
Amica got back to me. The usual run around. No last names, no extensions. Not sure why they called at all.

I filled their form online for home insurance, got a quote, and then called their number. 18 minutes into the call, after asking numerous questions, they tell me they don't insure houses where I live, western suburbs of Chicago.

Every single staffer I have ever spoken with at Amica has treated me as though I am their only customer.
Staffers are pleasant, professional, and take care to explain things so that an average person can understand.
Staffers are also proactive in pricing (explaining different options) and with claims.
Amica, because of its incredible staff, makes me feel like I'm a partner with the insurance company.

Staff is always helpful if I have to contact them by phone. I did not have a claim this year, but when I did , Amica was always very prompt at sending me payments.I highly recommend Amica for insurance needs.
