Beware of Americas Swimming Pool

In February of 2022 I contracted with the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa branch of ASP to refinish my pool with fresh Diamond Bright plaster, and update my pool lighting to LED. I paid a $10,000 deposit by check.
Facts:
1. On April 14th a subcontractor arrived from out of state and their crew worked hard, and did a professional job of applying the new finish.
2. Later in April ASP's electricians arrived to connect the updated lighting. They ran into poor weather and difficulty pulling the old cables out of the conduit, they decided to leave, but said "We'll be back Next week" I never saw them again and it's June 15th. Ghosted.
3. After paying ASP another $7000.00 plus and patiently texting the ASP contractor because a Holiday weekend during their busiest season was on us, and at that point still trusting ASP would complete the project I received this text from the ASP contractor which I now share with you. ' Hey David, I have been trying to find someone who can do the repair to your light niches for us to pull the new lights through" What repair? Everything was fine until the ASP electricians appeared. Continuing the ASP contractor text " After telling me he was too busy a few times, Fortino has finally let me know he does not feel comfortable doing the repair and is no longer willing to do it" "After I am able to get someone scheduled to come out there I will let you know" Out there? I'm equidistant three miles off the Interstate between his two branches. Not on Mars. ASP continuing. " Realistically it may be after things slow down later in the Summer"
So now after ASP disconnected my lighting, water features, and Polaris pool sweep I'm told to wait until later this Summer when things slow down. How would you feel in my position please? Ghosted, and wait till "later this Summer after being told two months prior "We'll be back next week"
My wife contacted the ASP Corporate offices in Macon Georgia requesting a call back. Four business days later, no reply from them either. I left a review on the ASP website with a one star rating. No response from ASP corporate to my review either. But plenty of five star ratings are featured on their site. I wonder how that could be?
ASP's contractor was rude to my wife by phone, and acted if a stuck pool lighting cable in conduit was a mystery to the Universe. Just web search "stuck pool lighting cable" and in one minute you will find numerous pool forums that have encountered the same issue, many offering solutions. Go to You Tube. Plenty of solutions there also.
Would you believe the ASP Branch Manager offered me a job? He did so after learning of my prior experience General Managing a business, my previous years experience in the swimming pool business, "you really take care of your pool" "you're a good customer, not everyone is like you".
Bottom line, ASP got most of their money, and now has left me with no lighting, no water features, no pool sweep. I texted to them that I would be willing to forget the LED upgrade, just get me back to where I was. No response. In closing, I'm sorry I ever trusted ASP and would never recommend them for any pool service what so ever. There are other options, one would be wise to avoid getting taken also.
