They don't even publish negative feedback they refresh feedback for all sellers yearly because every January you will see sellers have been with ebay over a decade yet has 100 positive feedback but only 8 reviews are left to read.
I've left negative feedback 3 times this week and nothing was published it still states 100 positive feedback then on Google it says ebay removes negative feedback so they don't lose money.

This practice needs stamping out by ebay.
I order a lot of items on ebay and generally there is no problem if one is careful and selective. Of late, however, there is a practice by some dishonest sellers that needs stamping out. When a seller clearly indicate they use Royal Mail as their courier I absolutely despise it when they then use Evri instead. This week I ordered an item from a seller that indicated delivery would be by Royal Mail and when I received a delivery email this morning it stated it would be with Evri. I avoid Evri like the plague and if a seller states they use Evri that is fine, I just will not place an order with them, no problem. What I don't like is being conned by sellers lying as to which courier they use.

Don't use eBay if you want genuine items. I purchased an item from a UK seller ( well they claimed to be a UK store, but after receiving the item , a Yaesu FT 7900 amateur radio , it is a counterfeit radio but when opening a return I haven't return back to China which is going to delay me getting a refund, even though it clearly states, when return was started , that I would be refunded by the 11th of Debruary 2026. It is now the 12th and I had to chase the srllernto send returns label , their excuse is " they have no knowledge of my local logistics " even though it clearly states , from eBay , I will receive a returns label and iy will be charged once I take it to post office .

After selling an item on Ebay where the buyer pays the postage, I chose the prepaid label Royal Mail collection option and waited for the parcel to be picked up the next day, booked for 10am. Three days later the item had still not been collected. After many emails to Ebay Customer Service, they expected me to pay for the prepaid label, even though the buyer had paid it. They didn't want to accept their error, where there was clearly a tech error their end, and resolution has become impossible. I have closed my account with them after many years, absolutely useless!

eBay has become very disappointing and feels increasingly unethical.
I recently noticed the same seller listing the exact same item on two separate pages at two completely different prices. When I reported this to eBay, they showed no concern. It feels like eBay turns a blind eye because the higher the price paid, the more commission they receive.
The biggest issue is their cancellation system. If you place an order by mistake, even within one minute, you often cannot cancel. Sellers instantly generate shipping labels within seconds, and cancellation requests are immediately rejected. I tried to cancel within a minute of ordering, but it was refused. The seller blamed eBay, and eBay blamed the seller — leaving the customer stuck with no real support.
This system feels like a trap for buyers. Once you click buy, you’re locked in almost instantly with no fair grace period to correct a mistake. Customer service does not take responsibility and offers little help.
Very frustrating experience and not the trustworthy marketplace it once was.

Ebay not what it used to be
Not sure what's happened to Ebay but as a buyer, I'm finding it increasingly frustrating that items take forever to arrive. With free postage this is 'ok', but when you've paid for postage and it still takes forever (with Evri especially), it's not a great experience. Compared to how it used to be I think Ebay has deteriorated in that sense, with slow delivery, poor tracking etc. And what is buyer protection? I thought we had that already??
