Foodello is een online supermarkt die voedselverspilling tegengaat door restpartijen van voedselproducenten op te kopen en deze aanbiedt met kortingen tussen de 20-90%. Foodello is onderdeel van Fiksu Ruoka, een Fins bedrijf, opgericht in 2016. Onze missie is om voedselverspilling tegen te gaan. Wij verkopen voedsel en huishoudartikelen die niet in de winkelschappen belanden. Bijvoorbeeld vanwege een naderende tenminste-houdbaar-tot datum, een veranderde verpakking, of omdat een product uit het assortiment verdwijnt. Wij vinden het zonde om deze producten weg te gooien. Het is beter voor het milieu om ze te redden, en ze met korting aan te bieden aan de consument. Tegelijkertijd helpen we onze leveranciers (voedselproducenten, importeurs en groothandels) om verspilling tegen te gaan door opruimings- en restpartijen op te kopen. Terrible Delivery & Customer Service experience
I contacted customer service due to my packages being severely delayed, opened (with a sticker stating they closed it without looking...) & damaged by the delivery service, and not delivered to the correct location (a drop off point of my choice). Moreover, when they supposedly delivered it to my home the next day (I went on a short trip so wasn't able to accept it), they didn't deliver it at my neighbors when I wasn't home, they just left it at my doorstep. I couldn't manage anything with the delivery service directly as "I am not their customer" and have to go through Foodello customer service who told me to enjoy the packages and wished me a good day after I told them I found the packages on my door step, more than a week delayed, in a damaged state. I've asked to talk to a manager and have yet to receive a response.

Although usually i have good experience with Foodello, until today where I was informed that my last order was lost from their carrier and I will have to re-order everything. Guess what? Prices have changed and products are not available anymore. This is outrageous! I have been offered a compensation of EUR 7 (!!!) to cover for my trouble, my awaiting patiently for my order, my dissapointment in their processes with their vendors/carriers. My trust is totally down the drain with Foodello.

Worst ever

I picked up my order yesterday.
I want to talk about my experience.
I paid for delivery first, but while I was waiting for the package at home, it was delivered to a different location. The delivery firm has done it before, but it's not pleasant to go and take anything—in my case, something heavy—after you've paid for delivery.
Second, I had some goods that were past their expiration date. I emailed you pictures of the items I owned. Other items have THT till March or April, which isn't much, but it's better than when it expired.
Third probably i will never order again from fodello.
How did the business handle this situation?

Convenient and sustainable!
Foodello is a super nice app with so many good deals! I love the concept, and we use it twice a month to get some storage things that often spending one third of the price. And, by doing so we help by not letting supermarkets through away food... win-win!
