Absolutely shocking service. Extremely disorganised and untrustworthy. Arrived 25mins before booking start time. We were told they did not have a car for us until exact booking time and sent us to book of long queue being served very slowly by one person. It took us 45mi a to reach the front of queue again. At 11:15am the car was still not ready and it took a further 1hr before we had a car and managed to drive away. Will be avoiding and no doubt the company will dissolve with this terrible customer service.
Save yourself stressful start to your holiday and do not book with company.

I’m extremely disappointed with this car hire company. I was charged for vehicle damage that was already present at the time of pick-up and was clearly visible in the pick-up video.
Despite providing evidence that the damage existed before I drove the car, the company still attempted to hold me responsible. This feels unfair and misleading, and it raises serious concerns about their damage assessment and customer service practices.
I would strongly advise anyone hiring from this company to thoroughly film and photograph the vehicle at collection and to check any charges very carefully afterward. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t use this company again.
Good location, good car, nice staff. The only issue is that the cars never have screen wash in the bottle, just water. Of course it freezes and you no longer have screen wash. Has happened to me before and is a real problem on the autostrada when the screen gets dirty, you have to lean out with a water bottle or pull over to wipe the screen.
Once it has frozen, that's it until the car goes back.
I know it is a relatively small issue, but for the driver it is a real pain in the ***
Crap. Cars are in the outdoor parking. When you take it at - it’s dark outside, hard to check existing damages. The rental card already listed many damages. I’m ok to drive a car that has some damages but I expect all of them to be listed, or the car should be placed in a well lit space where you can easily check it visually. I didn’t have any incidents, returned the car early in the morning before Italy Car Rent open, parking the car carefully in a designated spot. However they sent me a report that has identified apparently two new scratches. In the pictures attached to the report the damage was hardly visible, the size of it unclear, and I swear I didn’t damage the car, 100%. However I was told to either provide clear pictures showing the car had these scratches at the time of rental (which is impossible as it is delivered to you in the darkness) or to pay EUR 500 (250 per each apparent scratch). My explanations were not accepted, the amount was charged from my credit card. I will never use them again and do not recommend to anyone unless you take full insurance with them.
Returned our car to Milan Malpensa airport this morning, they took a €400 damage payment for a tiny chip on the windscreen (no more than 3mm) unfortunately I couldn’t prove if it was there before we picked it up, another €100 for damaged snow shoes for the wheels. Fair enough, I have full insurance to cover it.
But when the pdf report came through some hours later on my email, it had multiple photos of damage all around a car!! funnily enough it didn’t have any photos of the number plate or identifying features of the car I hired!
With my photos and videos I can prove this extra damage in the photos wasn’t there when I dropped it off!!
BE AWARE!!! TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THE CAR YOU HIRE!! Or just use a different company!!
As a previous review stated, if they rent their cars out so cheaply, they have to make their profits from other means!
Avoid this company! The car we collected had more than 20 items of damage listed. On return the agent went directly to a scratch on the front wing that wasn't listed (although 2 others in that area were) and then jumped into the passenger seat, pulled down the sun visor, opened the shutter and pointed to the broken mirror. Total scam, got charged 600 euros. Neither damage was caused by us.

Got a great car, efficient service and great snow socks which were needed as there was so much snow-they were easy to get on and worked brilliantly. Would use this car hire company again.

SCAMMERS !!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!!! I was charged €650 for tiny cosmetic scratches (around 1 mm) that clearly fall under normal wear and tear. The fees were based on an internal damage matrix with unregulated prices, not on real repair costs, and no repair invoice was provided. I disputed the damage at return and refused to sign the report, but the money was taken anyway. This system leaves customers with no fair or independent way to challenge excessive charges. SCAMMERS

I wish i had read the reviews here before we booked. we arrived into Turin airport with insurance covered already- with agreement to pay 900 euro using credit card. The only condition was that it needs to be a credit card (not debit card) in our name.
Surprisingly, according to Italy Car Rent a physical Revolut Visa card is not a credit card, so they refused to give us the car we had already paid in full for. We had no choice but to pay for their insurance; probably a lucky break as it looks like they would have charged us for scratches if we had used our own insurance. This is likely why they don’t take Revolut: Revolut look after their customers and through charge backs etc.
Avoid these scammers at all costs. This was an awful start to our holiday.

Had to pay 100 eur because snowsocks were damaged. They didn’t last one hill and were of very bad quality. Its only a way of cheating clients

NEVER AGAIN WITH ITALY CAR RENT! RUN AWAY! SCAMMERS!
FAILURE TO PERFORM AND LACK OF CORRECTION
The receptionist made three mistakes when returning the car:
1. She initially wanted to charge us €500 (2026 price) instead of €400 (2025 price, date of car pick-up).
2. The €400 corresponds to the replacement of the entire door, whereas it is only minor damage that requires a small repair costing €231.
3. She indicated the wrong location of the damage on the official document.
Italy Car Rent immediately withdrew €400 from our credit card while keeping the €900 deposit for three weeks.
After 26 days, we still have not received a reasonable response to our dispute from Italy Car Rent. We do not dispute the damage noted when the vehicle was returned on January 6, 2026. We dispute the fact that this minor damage does not require the replacement of the rear right door (€400), but only a minor repair (€231). They charged us €400, but this is not correct. They should have charged us €231. We are therefore asking them to refund us €169. In the meantime, after three weeks, they have released the €900 deposit.
We have asked the European Consumer Center (ECC) Italy - Bolzano office and the European Consumer Center (ECC) in Rome to intervene.

Picked the car up without an Italycarrent agent present in a dark dimly lit area. Did our best to inspect it with our phone torches. On return the agent found 2 extremely small (pen nib size) marks on the windscreen which we had not spotted during the rental. €550 charge have complained but they have blanked us. Avoid!

AVOID! This company is full of liars and thieves.
The will put extra hidden charges on your booking and won't accept valid credit cards just so that you buy their expensive insurance.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the agents. AVOID at all costs.

I rented a car from Rome airport, returned the car a week later, and was told that the car had 720 euros worth of damage, they want 400 euros for the windshield and 320 euros for the hood. Completely made-up damage. You can't even see it without a magnifying glass.
Never rent a car from here, the whole rental company is a complete scam, they rent the car to you cheaply and when you return the car they make up and fabricate marks that can then be billed.

We rented a car Milan Malpensa and drove to alps. There where snow socks in car and we use it for 30 km drive in snow (about 30 min) and they where allreaydy broken. Socks where made of some fabric and looked like one time to use. Company charged 100€ of them because they where broken after using. Law sayes that you need to have snow socks in the car put it could be nice to say that if you use them its 100€.

We rented a Car at Pisa Airport in May 2023. 32 months later in January 2026, they have charged 60 euros to my card as an admin fee for an alleged traffic offence of some kind. They have forwarded documentation all dated between May & August 2023 bit as it is in Italian I have no idea what the alleged offence was and I do not have the original documentation so cannot verify whether the vehicle identified is the one I rented. Based on this and alot of poor reviews I suggest you avoid using This Company at all costs !

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This is a scamming, fraudulent company!!! We returned our rental vehicle to Rome FCO after hours (in immaculate condition, we had only driven on well maintained highways and roads in Abruzzo). A day later, we received an invoice for 1500 Euro of damages. The damages were microscopic cosmetic scratches! Two were smaller than my pinky nail! We were able to disprove two of the damages through photo evidence (they were pre-existing damages). However they still kept 500 Euro from our deposit for scratches UNDERNEATH the car. We 100% did not cause these scratches. The car was already badly damaged when we picked it up! We should have seen the red flags, when they made us sign our contract before we even saw the car. But they ignored all of our emails and charged us anyway, as we didn’t have a photo of UNDERNEATH the car. A horrible company, making a dishonest living - ruining innocent people’s time in Italy!!! Criminal behaviour!!! Lucky we have insurance, but it’s still a horrendous experience and they should get taken down from operation!

Do not rent from this company! They are complete scam artists
I hired a car from this company in December, took great care when driving, took pictures before and after I dropped it off. They claimed I caused damage and tried to charge me over €400. I sent them all of my picture evidence to prove this and they still charged me. There was not damage to the car.
Please avoid this company at all costs
