Shocking overpricing to change lock

Fixtoon Ltd advised cost would be £49 call out charge and cost of lock. One hour to arrive. Then charged total of £1779 to replace one front door lock. They completely took advantage of a vulnerabile adult in a time of emergency.. Total overpricing, do not use.

appalling

Emergency callout the Saturday evening. The locksmith then had to return on Monday 28th October to complete the work. THE CHARGE WAS OVER £600. Today the lock broke again. KEEP AWAY FROM THEM!

Scam

Scam! Will quote you £50 but they keep adding on charges as they go. £80 just to turn up and see the door…
I was alone and felt very threatened.

Do not use

Said they would be an hour and took 2 hours, also wouldn’t tell me how much the “extras” would cost over the phone. Told it would be £55 call out and £50 labour - ended up costing £450 for a 10 minute job

Scammers

Agree with others these people are con artists, don’t touch them with a barge pole, they charged over £600 for a reasonably easy fix and charged me £175 for a £20 lock they are just out to scam you. Unfortunately I hadn’t noticed they were a sponsored link on Google normally I would use a sponsored link for exactly this reason. Avoid avoid avoid

Keep away from these scammers.

Keep away from these scammers.
Used to be known as 24/7 locksmiths they notoriously scam and overcharge vulnerable people, then change their company name to hide the bad reviews. They'll be the first to appear on your Google search due to sponsored posts but don't risk it. We were charged over £700 for a simple £30 fix and left with a broken and unsafe door

Con artists

Con artists! They quoted me £50 labour and said locks start from £29 but they won’t know exactly how much the lock will be as it depends on the one being replaced even though I told them the kind of lock it was. Then when they turned up they charged me £333 for a 2 minute job.

Very unhappy locksmith service

Very unhappy the way locksmith from Locksmiths.ltd operated today. Dan you need to take care of this. I got the front door lock. The locksmith said to me that the lock(latch) won't fit and he can change with one he has for £89(49 alabour + 40 new lock). I told him that it will be good if he fits the one I got and then he said he will fit it but has to do some extra work, basically now the job was exaggerated "extra work" and he throwed same price at me. I thought it may be tricky and that's why he is saying so. However when the actual job was done apart from chipping 1mm wide and 3cm of door length, nothing laborious or sweaty was done. I only realised this post the job was done and money was paid. For the work done when I asked the locksmith to justify addition £40 charge in addition to his £49 labour charge he started throwing tantrums saying you agreed. So in theory exaggerate the job, make the customer to agree and when customer challenges slap the same agreement in face ..what a game. The most stressful thing is the locksmith did not take my call then after. I would like to ask locksmiths.ltd where is 100% satisfaction that you boast on website. Looks like locksmith you send don't care for your values- "Our values are also our signs of identity: availability, immediacy, savings and quality". I don't mind to pay the money but such a way of operating is nothing less than thieving. Shame the way your locksmith treated his customer today. I would not recommend to use the service or if you use be alert and don't agree job exaggeration upfront.
