Worst Mobile Service ever
Sky scammers please don’t use this service as I was with them for over five years on a Mobile. I’ve got rid of my contract due to high price hikes and being tried they were trying to tie me up in knots with phone calls past from department department department all their delayed tactics to try and avoid helping me.
I am glad to be away from Sky but please don’t use them they are an awful Service. They shouldn’t be allowed to trade the way they treat customers. It’s disgusting what they’re getting away with it. Please, please please don’t use them.
Sky 1GB broadband cant go over 500mb/s on WIFI - Please be aware !!!!!
I was with Virgin Media on there 1GB Broadband, I was getting over 840mb/s over wi-fi on my PC. My contract ended, so I went to Sky, who were offering 1GB also. Big Mistake !!!. Let me inform you - Sky offer 1GB BB BUT!!! thats just directly into your modem!!!... the Router (which sends out your WiFi) that Sky provide is a Wi-Fi Standard: Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac/n/a), and this Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac/n/a) maxes out at 500mb/s. SO if your paying for 1GB Broadband with Sky, you are not going to get it using wifi (unlike Virgin who supply a router that can give you up to 1GB over wifi). So with Sky, the only way you will get anything even near to 500MB/s even if your paying for 1GB, is by plugging in your device directly to the modem (the box on your wall) with a direct Ethernet Cable !!!! Anything you are using on wifi, will realistically only get up to 400mb/s on a good day !!!!!.
Waiting over a week now to get SIM card…
Waiting over a week now to get SIM card ported, keep been told it will be sorted in 24hours and nothing happens.
Desperately customer service have lost days on the phone trying to get this sorted .
Never again .
Its only money with Sky, no loyalty
Ive been with Sky 14 years. A platinum customer. I came out of contract on the basic plan, which I paid €48 per month for. Let me add, currently new customers get the same plan and also one screen Netflix for €18 pm for 12 months.
Anyway my plan went up to a whopping €66 per month (the basic plan with 1 screen Netflix).
When I called sky they could only offer me €48 pm again.
After 14 years of custom, new customers are getting €18 pm on their website for the same thing, I am flabbergasted.
I gave my 31 days notice.
I will NEVER go back to Sky again. Never ever… no customer loyalty.
I am glad to be rid of them.
Warning to customers not to sign up
This is a warning to all customers who are trying to sign up. Don't.
I have tried to sign up to sky mobile today.
Right away I couldn't log into the my sky app as it doesn't recognise Irish eircode.
I have paid an upfront charge for a phone which was taken right away, but told that sky's rules are it takes 14 working day's for a refund. Since I have not actually signed up as I can't I don't have any agreement with them. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. This was me trying to sign up and still can't.
Sky requires separate email addresses for each product.
I have Sky Mobile and recently added Sky Broadband.
The Sky technician who installed my Sky Broadband made a typo in my email address. Apparently I now need separate email addresses for each of my sky products. This is absurd. Surely I can have two sky products linked to my one email address?
If I could give zero
If I could give zero, I would. We "ve been without internet for a week, I called them every day and the same lies "Issue will be resolved by the evening". I would not recommend them to by worst enemy.
I still have contract with them cause they want me to pay the cancellation fees, even thought it is their fault.
Ridiculous company and customer service! Incompetence beyond belief!
They make it so hard to cancel
They make it so hard to cancel. It says 31 days notice but lady on the phone would not let me cancel with 42 days notice, said it had to be 31 exactly. Then she put me on hold and hung up. Called again and told if contract ends on March 10th I can cancel anytime in February 10 days before 31 day notice. I emailed a complaint and again was told I can cancel anytime in February so called back in February. A lady told me I would be fined for early termination. I read her the email but she insisted it had to be 31 days exactly. Eventually after an argument and asking for supervisor she finally cancelled. This is just a scam to trick you into staying. Avoid this company.
To be honest
To be honest, the negative reviews are a joke. I went to the Sky store today and got an iPhone 17 Pro Max on a payment plan with an internet plan. The customer service was excellent—very caring and professional. I received my email confirmation tonight with no issues at all.
I would like to thank Sky and especially the assistant manager, Manny, for the great support. Based on my experience today, the bad reviews really don’t reflect the service at all.
No stars is too good a review
No stars is too good a review. Overcharging since early in the contract, which was eventually resolved after hours of phone calls 2 months into the contract. To resolve they had to restart to contract but advised it will be no problem to finish contract at the original end date. This was denied at the original end date - I had to give lots of information, they listened back to various calls, eventually let me leave the contact which I was fully entitled to do anyway, all sky internal errors one after the other, no apologies, absolutely clueless reps and another 100 euro taken from my account that I was promised a refund on, 4 weeks later I have to call again, refund wasn't even processed. They are as disingenuous as it gets, horrible company. Stay away.
Avoid at all costs – A predatory trap for the elderly and tech-illiterate
I am beyond frustrated with this company. If I could give zero stars, I would. They are essentially running a legalized scam designed to trap people into paying exorbitant fees.
The "Out of Contract" Price Hike: The moment my initial contract ended, my bill skyrocketed. They started overcharging me nearly double the original rate without any meaningful notice, banking on the fact that I wouldn't notice the jump in my bank statement.
Impossible to Cancel: Trying to get a hold of support is a nightmare. I’ve spent hours on hold, only to be disconnected or told that the "system is down." It feels like they’ve intentionally made it nearly impossible to cancel or even amend a contract just to keep the overcharges rolling in.
Web Design as a Trap: Their website is clearly designed to confuse. For anyone who isn't highly tech-savvy, it’s a total maze. Important buttons like "Cancel Service" or "Manage Plan" are buried under layers of fine print, while "Upgrade" buttons are everywhere.
Aggressive Door-to-Door Sales: To top it off, their sales reps are relentless. They showed up at my door and were incredibly pushy, leaving out crucial details about price hikes and contract terms. They target neighborhoods with older residents who might not know better.
Bottom line: This company preys on loyalty and lack of technical knowledge. Save your money and your sanity—stay far away.
An engineer while installing Sky told…
An engineer while installing Sky told me to take the free Sky movies trial, and guaranteed it was automatically cancelled at the end and I would need to call to signup. This wasn’t the case and when I notice it wasn’t cancelled they tell me I miss understood what the engineer said, this is completely miss selling. I asked him many times is it definitely cancelled because I wont be the one watching it so won’t notice if it’s not!
Customer service, billing, and loyalty team are all horrendous
They tried to deduct double the normal monthly amount, which the bank refused because it wasn't the correct amount that I'd pre-approved. Can't log in to mysky because it says I need to get the account holder to do so. I'm the only person on the account. If I want to ring them I have to pay them to do so (they make money from an 0818 number). Tried contacting via whatsapp and was waiting for 4 hours yesterday, only to be told to try again tomorrow. Now waiting 90 minutes today, still nothing. They're dying for me to change providers.

Impossible to get anyone to deal with my issues.
Bounced from one AI chatbot to the next. Worst customer service I have ever received, its 2 days now and I still havent spoken to a human.
Sky taking extra money out of my…
Sky taking extra money out of my account every month, when I phoned them all I got was that he would get me on another contract, I said no, I have a contract, and I told him he is not to do that. 52 euro should be taking every month, but In November the took 58, and now this morning they took 59.
Our Sky Q viewing card is faulty
Our Sky Q box keeps giving us a message that the viewing card is inserted incorrectly and we cannot record or see all the channels. I did all the recommended actions (checked the card was in correctly, rebooted the machine, tried to sync the card) then I went on Sky chat. They told me I needed a new card, but I'd have to speak to a representative, but no one was available. So they disconnected me.
Then I went online to look for a phone number. I learned you can SMS them or use WhatsApp to contact them. They charge a pretty penny for phone calls. So I Whatsapped. Got a message that it would be 20 minutes till someone was available. Finally, someone who I thought was a real person came on. I gave him all the information and asked for a replacement card. He said he could help with that. So I asked him to send the card, and he said it would take 4-5 business days. I was relieved because the box is useless without a functional card. He offered me 2 months of free Sky Kids. As I don't have kids, I declined. I thought that was that. Some time later, another guy starts chatting, asking for all the same information. This is now several hours later. I told him I was told it was all taken care of. He insisted on starting over, but I had to leave.
If they do not send me the card, I will drop them and never go back. We have been subscribers since 2010. Time to move on. I can live without GoT and Bridgerton.
Deplorable Bureaucratic Service
Deplorable!!!
I subscribed to broadband and tv the 4/12 and was delivered the internet box and 2 pucks for my tvs 2 weeks later. In the meantime, I contacted Sky to let them know that I would need a technician to set up the cables in my house since there were none. I called 4 times, with interminable wait times to speak to someone. No-one listened. I was told that all I had to do was plug in the boxes... Well of course, they didn't work.
So I contacted Sky 17/12 to cancel my subscription. They tried to tell me that they would send me a technician at that point but there would be no-one available for several weeks (mid january in fact)
I told them that was quite frankly ludicrous and they had just wasted several weeks of my time for nothing.
They confirmed my account would be cancelled and they would be sending me a return label so I could send them back the equipment.
I received a label and returned everything back to them 22/12. Once I returned everything, I received a 2nd label with a different address to return the equipment. Too late!
Since early january I have received countless emails and text messages telling me to return the equipment or else it will be invoiced to me.
Thankfully, I have a tracking number from An Post.
Sky is by far the worst service provider that I have encountered any where in the world.
I am shocked that they are still in business!!
Don't join this service please have…

I’ve been a loyal Sky customer for over…
I’ve been a loyal Sky customer for over 20 years, I moved to sky glass and purchased a Sky glass TV which was the worst experience I’ve had with Sky. Problem after problem with streaming issues and no TV for 3 weeks after an automatic update which Sky couldn’t rectify, a stranger on a forum fixed it for us!!!! TV broke after less than 2 years and Sky wanted another €900 to replace which I refused, cancelled multiroom as no longer had TV, specifically told them on the phone that the TV wasn’t working so could I continue with just the puk, was told yes but it didn’t work, no TV, rang again to be told it wouldn’t work without the multiroom package 🤦♀️ cancelling my entire subscription now as I’m sick of spending my time on the phone trying to solve their mistakes
Cancelled and still being charged…
Cancelled and still being charged months after with no refund
