Extremely buggy
Extremely buggy. I spent three hours today just trying to get slide 3 to display. On top of that, I had some ghost text I couldn’t delete until I removed unrelated text from another slide, and then—mysteriously—the slide finally appeared.
I would not recommend this plugin. It feels easier to learn CSS and build a slider from scratch than to wrestle with this every day.

Those ghost text issues and disappearing slides are the textbook result of malformed content or an unclosed tag being manually entered or copied into a layer.
While our editor gives you a lot of freedom, a user error like broken code on one slide will unfortunately break the slides that follow it.
It is always much faster to contact our support team because we can usually spot a manual mistake in minutes and save you the headache. We have seen 'em all ;)
We are currently working to make the editor even more foolproof to catch even these things automatically.

Do not use at all
I bought a premium license for a couple of years when I built a website. When I bought it, they told me that only support and upgrade rights would end when the subscription expired. Now I find myself with a website that needs redesigning because it has a completely blank homepage, because I used one of the premium templates included in my license. It's simply insane. Be careful, don't use this plugin or you'll find yourself enslaved by their subscriptions.
Answring to the answer:
The homepage is completly white because there is only the slider.
Answer 2:
I don't spend days customizing playlists on Spotify, and the files in the Cloud are still mine on my computer.
Everything on the slider has been customized to my needs, so you've made my work pointless.
My opinion remains the same, and what I want to do with this review is to advise others not to waste their time with your products.

I understand you’re frustrated, and I’m sorry your homepage is currently blank. But the situation is a lot simpler... and very different from what you described.
I agree with the reviewer, every customer should be warned:
In case you subscribe to premium features, once the subscription runs out, the premium features will not be available anymore! This concept will apply to all of your subscriptions with every vendor (check for 1-star reviews).
A cancelled subscription does not delete homepages or wipe entire sites!
It only stops loading premium templates, premium objects, or premium addons that require an active subscription for our premium content. This has been part of our terms since day one and has never changed.
In your case, your entire homepage consisted of one single premium template.
So when the subscription expired, the premium portion stopped loading, and since there was nothing else on the page, it appeared completely blank.
This isn’t Slider Revolution removing your content.
It’s simply the premium asset no longer being available without an active subscription, exactly as documented.
Think of it like this:
• If you cancel Spotify Premium, your offline playlists don’t keep playing forever.
• If you cancel Apple iCloud storage, Apple doesn’t continue storing all your extra photos out of pure generosity.
Of course, these are just examples for premium subscriptions in other areas of the tech world.
Premium access stops when the subscription ends.
Very normal, very expected, and exactly what happened here.
Your Slider Revolution itself is still alive.
The plugin still works normally, and your page can be restored in minutes by:
• Re-activating the subscription
or
• Replacing the premium template with a free/custom one

Ethics is not dead
This is a company I want to do more business with. Here's why. 10 days before my subscription was due to renew, I not only got a warning email but the cancellation process was done through a seamless ai. One click. Not a hidden button. Not hoping you'll just be too busy to notice forcing you retroactively cancel. Not a million "Are you sure you want to cancel...here is 50% off your next month" b.s..
SliderRev/Theme Punch should teach a class on the RIGHT way to handle cancellations.

Unintuitive, confusing and complex!
I don't think I have ever come across a more unintuitive plugin. At first glance this looks like a drag and drop - don't be fooled!
The plugin has a vast amount of settings, submenus and options, to the extent that there is a setting for the setting. Getting the slider consistent between desktop and mobile is nay impossible - I think flying a plane would be simpler than building a sider with this.
I think this plugin could do with a redesign! or perhaps a "a simpler drag and drop mode" for us mere mortals and an "Advanced mode" for the developers.
To make matters worse (hence the 1 star), any slider, or add-on you have used with the pro version, will simply stop working (without notice) if the license expires.

Thanks for your review. Let me start with the big point:
When a paid subscription ends, the paid parts stop working.
That is normal in software. If someone stops paying Netflix, they also cannot watch Night Agent anymore. Same idea here. The premium templates, objects and addons are no longer available after the license expires. But the sliders you built without premium parts keep working like before.
About the plugin itself. Yes, Slider Revolution has a lot of features. It was built to cover simple cases and very advanced ones. That means there are many options, but there are also fast presets, automatic responsive adjustments, and simple workflows if you want them. We are improving the interface all the time and you will see a much simpler mode in the future.
Mobile and desktop consistency can be tricky if you do everything manually. We have automated tools built in for that. Our support team can also help fix layout issues quickly. Sometimes a small tweak is all it takes.
And just to clarify. Nothing stops without warning. We try very hard to avoid surprises... but without turning the editor into a blinking Christmas tree of reminders.
Anyway, thanks again for the feedback. Really! Even the rough ones help us improve. Wishing you better luck with your next tool.

EDITED RESPONSE:
Dear Slider Revolution - your refund page only works if you have an account set up. No one is able to help me process the refund AT ALL if we don't have the login for the account any more. Can you have someone help me, because the chat and email ticket services just runs you in circles. Maybe check their scripts for this issue.

I hate learning new GUI and design elements. Especially since this product is so intense for slider making. I paid for it and now I can't use it because I have to train up on using it. The problem no is the graphics are so intense and images fat, I took my 92% page speed down to 34%. This is not a professional plugin. It's eye candy that bloats the load times out to 12 seconds. Terrible product and unreasonable licensing
I bought this Revolution Slider yesterday based on their excellent website and advertising. As an experienced website designer I was surprised to find it is so complex and unintuitive to use that I had to repeatedly contact support. They answered quickly, but the information was usually not that helpful and sometimes dismissive. I found that changing some minor aspect often caused something else to change or stop working.
The worst thing I suddenly was told is that when my paid support ended (if I did not renew) the image slider on the website would STOP WORKING (because I had used a Premium Template to create it). An unacceptable new money-grabbing tactic.
I can totally understand why they have suddenly now left TrustPilot (if you notice all recent reviews are 1 star).
I suggest you read the small print and (independent) reviews before trying this Slider Revolution.

Thanks for the feedback. The “hidden” settings you are missing are almost always a Global Layer (content shown on all slides). Open your module, click Global Layers at the top, select the unwanted layer, hide or delete it, then Save. That removes it across all slides, kind of like taking a sticky note off every page.
