Guys, do you know any lawyer who can help me with this?

TSOHOST, 123REG, GODADDY: A BUNCH OF THIEVES

Tsohost is a very bad website hosting, I’d been paying for their services for 10 years, but at a certain point they decided to sold my domain and website to 123Reg, which deleted all my website content and sold it to GoDaddy, which in turn sold my website to 3rd party.

The reason? Firstly, they said both domain&website were expired; then, it’s been discovered that only the website has expired, therefore, they deleted (sold) it.

I’ve never received communication about the expiration and surely nothing about they were going to cancel all my website content. NEVER.

This is Intellectual Property theft
I had all my university stuff in there, all my assignments, videos/podcasts. Everything’s gone!

Do not trust either in Tsohost, 123reg and especially GoDaddy, which is selling stolen domain&websites.

Note: Regarding the Date of Experience I need to set below, it’s only the last communication as they’ve been ping ponging me for 2 months, since I’ve discovered by case that godaddy was selling my domain without my consent.

Btw, they’ve answered to my review with the usual marketing script to make my review going down;

Well, I’m not going down, I want my website back!

123 REG No Support No Response No…

123 REG No Support No Response No Solution
We have been with 123 for a number of years, mainly fairly happily, but after the introduction of a new 2 step system of authentication, we were locked out of our account and it is causing us enormous problems as a business. As I know, many will say they are terrible in any case and we should just leave, switch providers and believe me, if we could, we would! When the new system was introduced, they denied us access to our account (even though we have been clients for many years and they still take their fees from our bank) until we provide a Council Tax Bill and a recent letter from HMRC. We are a business and pay business rates, hence we supplied a copy of a business rates bill. That is apparently unacceptable to 123, it must be a Council Tax bill. So basically a document we are never going to be able to provide. Our payroll, like any business is submitted online and we do not have recent correspondence with HMRC and nothing that shows the names of all members and our address. We are not a limited company and cannot therefore produce company registration details. Something 123 simply do not understand. Despite providing our business rates bill, copies of our bank statements, letters from our accountants, copies of supplier invoices, none were acceptable; it is a council tax bill and an HMRC letter or a Companies House registration document or nothing.
We are trying to switch providers and will do so in a heartbeat, but once again to do this we need access to our account. This is denied yet again.
I had to post a formal complaint as e mailed complaints are not allowed - by a technology company!! This formal complaint remains unanswered. I complained again formally and again no response. The only ineffectual response was an automated one to say the ticket was to be closed as we had not responded. We then complained to the Abuse Team who it seems are also unable to help us, without access to our account. My colleague has spoken to them on the phone times without number, but still we are in this ridiculous limbo. We cannot as they suggested at one point, get a key to access our account as we have to log in to our account to order one!
My colleague has asked to escalate this and speak to a Manager, but guess what.... you need to log in to your account to speak to a manager!
I am left at the moment with a brick wall and a sore head.
And one big question How do we break free from 123 Reg?? Do not use this company. The support you pay for is non-existent. What should have been a simple switch over of authentication processes has left us in this utterly ridiculous situation. if we have a problem with our service we cannot ask for support as we are locked out.I have never ever known of a business that makes it impossible for their clients to continue to use a service but also makes it impossible for the client to leave.

This is a scam hosting company

This is a scam hosting company, do not give them your money. They look legit. But I used to own a domain name, wee.io, super sweet and short name. They blocked me from making a payment and it expired, there was no response to my emails or anything, then they sold it to godaddy who has listed it for sale for $7k.

Migration failed

Lost all services (email and website) associated with my registered domain when tsohost forcibly migrated my account to 123.com. I have been locked out of my own account and my business email address has been made redundant My bank (and every website that I have linked to this domain, which is a low) now won't recognise me. Tsohost just don't care.

Beware the fake reviews on here about…

Beware the fake reviews on here about TSO host, particularly anyone claiming to have spoken to a customer service adviser. TSO Host shut down their phone support on July 1 2022 - call this number to confirm: 020 7855 2055.

Since then, there has been no way to contact them except by logging a ticket - and they have now stopped responding to those.

Last week, they took payment for a service I cancelled earlier in the year. But I have no way of contacting them to get my money back!

It also appears that much of their business has been taken over by 123Reg - so I would also avoid this company too.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Such a shame they have merged with 123…

Such a shame they have merged with 123 registry, as this company used to be amazing!

Been with TSO host for years and not a single problem then all of a sudden since October (the date of the cross over to 123 Registry) I have had 3 major issues which apparently I have to pay to have resolved and one of which I have been told a web developer needs to be paid just to get into my website! I was assured that this has nothing to do with the merger but VERY coincidental after about 5 years of no issues right!?
raising tickets and live chat gets you no where as it seems very scripted and they always end up with sorry this is a you problem we cant help, or we can help but at £££ cost! Frustrating that novice users cannot access this service anymore, not entirely sure why it has to be complicated. I just have a website with a few pages on more of like landing pages with info and an email inbox, nothing too techy in my opinion. I expect this will fall on deaf ears as the company will no longer exist but would be interesting to know if other long term loyal customers are facing similar issues!

Nightmare

Nightmare. There is no way to contact TSOHost without logging in. They have no customer support email, their phone number tells you to log in. I cannot log in, because my account information is apparently no longer recognized. I cannot reset the password because the domain has expired, and I can't renew the domain because I CAN'T LOG IN.

I'm at a complete loss. The domain I have had for 14 years has now expired and there is no way to contact TSOHost.

Use this company at your own risk.

Awful experience

Awful experience, terrible customer service. Issues are blamed on us and "the browsers" despite the issues being across multiple browsers. Email issues are endless and again no support just continually telling us to check the settings which of course we had. Useless company we feel very let down. We'll be moving out website and emails post haste. Please don't touch this company. They are not worth your trust or time.

After being with TSOHost for several years, things have gone horribly wrong. Our website issues, SSL when other companies offer it as a free service, i am being told I need to pay for one.. E-mails, control panel being so slow and what not.

I found someone here recommending FastCow.com and have successfully moved to them now.

I am sad to see the company fall apart..

Cheats & thieves

Cheats & thieves! They stole about 60 GPB from me, having promised a refund with their recent migration over to 123REG. Their account department promised a refund, compliant to UK law but they just went silent. Stopped answering emails and even with a write letter via the post, still no reply. It's an affilaite of GoDaddy, another big company that holds its customers with contempt & dishonesty. You should also know that this low-end hosting company will mostly likely infect your website with malware & move platforms when it suits them. This will cause you disruption & massive amounts of time fixing the things that get brokne in the transfer of plaforms. Be warned : FLEE !!

Futher to your answer (one month later) : I've written you countless emails. You can simply resolve this issue if you wish. I re-invite you to reply to my emails.

Still awaiting resolution

As part of tsoHost's closure, we were advised all services would move to 123-reg. At some point over the summer, when this was first announced, we lost the ability to login to our account completely. Despite having attempted to reset our password with the link on the login page, not a single email has arrived in our inboxes (multiple accounts attempted) with a 'reset link'.

We've been going back and forth with Anamaria (part of the support team) for the last months, and the summary of her 'support' was as below:
- "have you tried resetting your password?"
- "try it again"
- "I've reset your password, and it says the link was sent"

All we need is, at the very least, a temporary password to be set up so we can access our account again, then we can go ahead and change it. This issue has been ongoing for at least 3 months, and is now entering a critical phase as our website is, within the week, going to cease functioning due to a separate service renewal that can only be done server-side.

The customer service with this company…

The customer service with this company is abysmal.
I opened a ticket to find out how to transfer my domains over to a new owner, not a difficult ask I wouldn’t have thought. The ticket was opened on the 2nd October, I got a reply on the 17th October asking if it was still an ongoing issue, I replied it was and have not heard another word since despite emailing on the 21st and 22nd.

I have just had a reply from yourselves, approx 4 weeks later.
I can’t reply to this because I have left the business now and can longer login. I did the transfer of the domain and yet today I find you have taken £9.54 from my account. I would appreciate a refund please.

Hi Sandra,

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I sincerely apologize for the delays and lack of communication you’ve encountered. We understand how frustrating it must be to wait so long for assistance with what should be a straightforward request. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Your feedback highlights an area where we need to improve, and we are actively reviewing our support processes to ensure quicker response times and better follow-through on customer inquiries.

I’d like to look into this for you and provide support, please respond to our request for more information so I can get in touch.

NO SUPPORT. AVOID

AVOID. TOTAL SHI*TE NOW. I have been with this company for yrs and it used to excellent - with phone support. Then they did away with that and so a question call that would take 5 mins to sort take 40 mins on Chat.

Now there is NON EXISTENT SUPPORT.

Both using the internal messaging (STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY SINCE THE 8th Oct, now 21st) and the Chat feature bottom right doesn't respond either.

POINTLESS. As I said AVOID

Utter Shambolic Joke Of A Company

Their rating shows 3.3 stars, but when you sort the reviews by "most recent" I've gone back 6 months to May, and I found it difficult to find a review that isn't a 1 star. It is clear they are still taking your money but have no intention of providing a reasonable level of support. The old cliche of "Apologies for any delays in support, we are currently experiencing a high volume of queries" has been rolled out for months, but nothing changes.
I raised a ticket (#3732013) on 13/10/2024. 16days later, it still remains unresolved. It was regarding a duplicated invoice, which seems to happen often, so it looks like I'll have to initiate a charge back with my credit card company. And even though I have paid twice, they are still sending me emails telling me it has expired.
The "Live chat is available from 9am to 5pm Monday" is at odds with the rest of the industry, which is normally 24/7. If a site is down, you can't afford to wait a weekend to get it back up again.
After 16 days they responded to say my ticket had been removed from the queue and if the issue hadn't been resolved, to email them back and they add it back on. How would it be resolved if they haven't done anything? What a bunch of idiots.
Needless to say, I'm offski before anything bad happens.

TSOHost say a domain I have recently paid to renew has expired!

TSOHost sent me a message to say that a domain which I renewed for another year on 30th September 2024 has expired!

I have proof that Invoice #8073586 was paid promptly following a reminder and the domain successfully renewed until 06/10/2025, as evidenced by 2 confirmation emails from TSOHost dated 30/09/24 and received at 19:59 and 23:45.

Yet another mess that TSOHost have caused - but who will fix it, since TSOHost can no longer be contacted?

123-REG please note - this domain is paid for. I have receipts.

Have been customers for years but...

Have been customers for years. Always pay on time and expect to receive support and assistance when issues occur. This last year has been woeful and not value for money. In fact the opposite as thanks to mistakes and omissions with SSL certificates and other configuration problems we have no control over not only have we spent hours getting no help but our clients who cannot see either their website or emails have lost money through lost business and time spent trying to communicate using the medium they have paid for. Support simply say 'we have run tests and can't find the issue' They don't tell us which tests, nor make any helpful suggestions as to what the issue might be nor how to resolve it. How is this helpful or sound customer support?

Zero support

Last week all of my emails disappeared, I assumed that this might be part of the new migration to Reg123, but on calling them they said nothing has been migrated. There is no phone number for TSOHost, tickets I sent on the 7th October still remain unopened. I did manage a live chat, and they directed me to my emails on their webmail which was a massive relief but were unable to help me make a connection on my computer or phone and said I needed to contact apple support. Since then I have lost all emails sent to me prior to the 7th October even on their server and now I cannot even open a live chat - it is constantly 'sending'. Last week I couldn't end my old chat to create a new one. This my personal as well as my business email account and I now have no access to ANY of my emails before the 7th October. I was on holiday the week before and thank god it didn't happen then as all my reservations etc were on emails. This is beyond exasperating, I do not know where to turn or what to do. I would avoid this hosting platform at all costs. The fact that there is zero response / support is quite frankly mind boggling and is causing me massive issues as I cannot resolve this on my own. I cannot begin to describe how distressing this is.
