Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. I had emailed over a week ago, still no reply. They put you in this endless trap where you rely to cash out each pay, then randomly, with absolutely no changes to your pay or situation, they tell you you’re ineligible.

I paid $3200 today and I’m left with nothing. Emailed again, and I doubt I’ll receive a reply.

I’m now anxious and stressed and have absolutely no idea how I’m going to get by this month.

Do not use this service, do not get stuck into this scheme because it only makes things worse.

UPDATE: I got a reply, just a generic response that’s not related to my enquiry whatsoever. Followed it up and they send me the same exact response. Useless.

No customer support at all

Tried to use the service but was told there were “inconsistencies with my pay” no idea what that means I’ve been paid the same or higher every week for going on 6 years. When I reached out I got an AI looking email that answered none of my original questions. There are a few wage pay services that I’d use before this one

Wagepay's responses were not related to…

Wagepay's responses were not related to the issue I have raised on several occasions about my applications. Wagepay keep responding with weird generic answers mostly related to "split payments" which has not thing to do with my emails to them. And again they take days to respond. The response given on this review site by them is untrue. I am sure they are laughing about this whole thing!!

Id highly suggest not borrowing they think youd borrow money even if your not in financial hardship then when you cant afford their payments they sit and watch your bank and the second you get paid yhey take your entire paycheck and leave you with nothing not even money to feed yourself. I said i was going to pay off 400 this week they took 900 not even a minute after it hit my bank they are rude they dont understand thats illegal and that im now suing them they talk to you like your an idiot aswell. They literally left me with nothing not a cent to eat buy my medication im at risk of dying now also starving cant afford fuel to get to work cant pay my rent absolute scum of the earth this person. Now they are even lying in their response to me on this review, the audacity is mind blowing. Extremely dodgy do not use! Theres many many more apps that do this and arent lying dogs they will actually work with you and respect you such as wagetap is a good one. They have the audacity to claim they arent lying even in their response on here if i could post screenshots i would

Hi Casey,

This simply isn’t correct. You contacted us advising that you were unable to make payments, and we responded in line with the information clearly outlined in our FAQs. We explained that supporting documentation is required in these situations, and that requirement has still not been met.

Instead, the narrative has been reshaped into something more convenient for you to accept. You asked for assistance, we requested the evidence needed, and you chose not to provide it. As a result, the payment proceeded exactly as you were informed it would.

Not lying in our reviews is something we take very seriously, and we stand firmly by the accuracy of the information We provide. You are free to share your perspective publicly, but We also have a responsibility to ensure other readers understand when statements made about our processes or conduct are not reflective of what actually occurred.

In this instance, the narrative you are presenting does not align with the documented communication between us. If there is any confusion, We encourage you to revisit our email exchanges, where each requirement and explanation was clearly outlined. It may be helpful to step back and review the details once emotions have settled, as clarity often returns with a little time and distance.

Please refrain from transferring responsibility for your own inaction onto our team.

Thank you so much.

Zero Communication

I have no reversals on my bank account and meet all the criteria for lending to but they declined me. I emailed them twice and finally got a reply 4 days later. But the reply do net relate to my inquiry at all. I emailed again and received another generic reply not related to my inquiry. It is as though they have not read my emails. I have sent another email today but I am not hopeful of getting a meaningful reply. I see this is also a common issue with many other customers - generic replies that do not relate to the question the customer has asked. Very odd.

Hello,

We can see that the responses provided contain clear and relevant information that directly addresses your enquiry. If you chose not to review the full details, that is unfortunately outside of our control, as we cannot compel customers to read the guidance they are sent.

It is disappointing that this has resulted in a 1-star review, but the information you required was supplied in full.

I applied for wage pay

I applied for wage pay, it just comes up can’t help me, I work full time and pay my loans on time. I hit apply and it declines straight away. I contact customer service who just send generic emails and don’t care. A friend of mine works part time has no money and 3 payments behind on his car loan and he gets approved, how does that make any sense.

Anyway I have been told by many it’s a scam and now I can see it. Stay away from them and use other products. I have reported them and have been told by the financial services ombudsman that they have had the same issues and are aware of them being a scam.

If you have them delete the app go with someone else.

Hi Adam,

While we're not liable to discuss whether your friend was approved or not, we hold certain crietria that you've unfortunately at this time not met, thus the advance was not approved.

Bad customer service

I couldn't change my bank connection within the app and at this point I have reached out at least 8 times and when I have got a response its always a generic message and doesn't relate to the problem. There is no live chat. They sometimes just don't reply. Customer service is terrible. Wagetap is the best one out of all those shitty companies. Even looking at Wagepay's reply below, they are problem focused rather than solution focused.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for taking the time to review your experience with us.

We note that the "generic" replies do contain vital information that can, often get overlooked, that is pivotal to you being able to access your Wage you way, natrually we're not able to force a customer to follow or instructions, that we send. However if they're not followed you will not have a pleasurable time unfortunately.

Not to happy at all

Not to happy at all. I've had an advance for 100$ 3 times now which would've helped me a lot only I can't get past the identity verification. They told me to email them my photo i.d and such which I've done a couple times and it's just the same generated response. And I can try again in 7 days to get the same response. I applied because I needed and still need help them not weeks after. 😞

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. They make out like they’re there to help, but it’s all for show. I’ve been trying to get support for over a year, reached out multiple times via email, and have gotten absolutely nowhere. It’s like talking to a robot. no real response, no real help. Complete waste of time

Hi Coco, Thanks for the review. Sorry you're not having a pleasurable experience with our Customer Service side of things.
We've noticed that a lot of our email bodies go unread, and this has caused a lot of upset. Please ensure all emails that we've sent to you have been read, as we've more than likely assisted you with information in those emails.

Thanks again.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There are far more superior options.

I initially loved Wagepay however after attempting to refer friends to the app to recieved the $50 bonus as promised, I can safely say I highly recommend against this app.

Not only did I successfully refer a friend bringing in this company more business, I did not recieve the bonus as promised. Further, any attempt at contacting Wagepay has been completely unsuccessful, as I have to date only recieved auto-generated responses with no option to speak with a real person.

I can only imagine if one was in hardship what they would do and what situations they could find themselves in should they receive the same lack of communication.

Hi Kerry,

Thank you. Yes, that is how about every other application service goes: you get contacted to apply, and if you meet criteria, you're able to draw down on an advance. However, in this instance,e you were found illegible, it's not all bad though - as you can always apply again in 7 days to determine your eligibility.

Why I think and know that wagepay is so convenient and simple to use

Why I think and know that wagepay is so good is because of the convenience self control and ease of use that this site has also the time it takes for a payment to clear not like other pay advance companies in which the payment takes two days to clear wagepay payments take over night if not straight away so your able to access monies right on the spot which is so convenient as I experienced not only this week but weeks and months before so that is why I would definitely recommend wagepay to anyone seeking to access there pay early and the fees a reasonable too highly recommend
