We are three year users of Bloomerang. It is a good CRM, but but the support is terrible.
There is no written documentation for the software. Just web-based training modules that lack depth. Their support almost always tries to force you into videos which are slow and very basic. They have many obstacles to keep you away from human contact.
Phone support is always busy. If you are looking for phone support expect a 30 minute wait with terrible hold music and prompts to get you to go to the worthless web based support.
Email support is a 24-hour response time and often does not address the actual question asked.
This was a 3 star review, but I'm revising it to 2 stars. Here's why, Bloomerang responded to the review in less than two hours, quicker than the last support email I sent. But their response is this "We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience with our support resources has been frustrating. If you’re open to it, our chat support is often the quickest way to answer questions."
Anything to avoid the client actually talking to a human.

Our experience with Bloomerang has been disappointing. When we reached out to discuss early termination of our contract due to major organizational changes and budget reductions, we were met with inflexible policies and little willingness to work with us—even as a long-time nonprofit customer.
To make matters worse, we sustained what Bloomerang referred to as a “modest” 7% price increase this year—adding insult to injury during an already challenging financial period.
Despite multiple attempts to escalate the issue, we received no meaningful response or support. For a company that markets itself as nonprofit-focused, Bloomerang’s lack of empathy and responsiveness has been frustrating.
We expected a partner that understood the realities of nonprofit work. Instead, we we got an outdated platform, rigid policies, poor customer service, and tone-deaf pricing.
We cannot recommend Bloomerang to other mission-driven organizations seeking a responsive, values-aligned vendor.

EPIC FAIL. AVOID THIS ORGANIZATION. RAPACIOUS PRICING, IGNORES CANCELLATION.
My small nonprofit organization had a Bloomerang CRM plan for a couple of years and got notified earlier this year of a price increase that would double our cost to nearly $1K/year. I notified them at that time to cancel auto-renewal — and today got notice that they had renewed and billed my debit card on file for over $2,200!! WTF is that??
Even after considerable correspondence months ago, including a phone conversation with a member of their so-called "Customer Success Team," who assured me they had received my notice of non-renewal, this happened. Bloomerang's only contact method is via chat, during which agent Courtney P. said, "We are digging into this and our
Customer Support team will be in touch!"
Meanwhile, my organization's finances have taken a severe hit when we have other bills to pay. This is totally unacceptable.
I got the impression from Bloomerang's agent during the call some months back many clients were cancelling because of steep price increases and her team was backed up with work handling all of them. Not surprising. Not worth the price then, even worse now.

Customer support is excellent! Never worked with a company with such great customer support and with excellent communicators.
They understand my problems, sometimes better than I think I have explained it. I have often wondered if you have the actual software engineers as the support team because their expertise is impeccable!

I have used Bloomerang for over 3 years as the Marketing and Development director of a medium sized nonprofit. I have been very pleased with all the tools they have available and range of reports I can build. Bloomerang is very user-friendly and when I have had questions their customer service is quick to answer and follow-up.

Bloomerang is an old, outdated CRM with barely functional features, terrible customer service, and broken promises. Bloomerang has online forms that are not functional at all so you have to purchase an upgrade to get functional forms. We purchased two add-ons (Give+ and DonorSearch) and they didn't turn those features on for over 10 months. I have reached out via the chat and email NUMEROUS times and at times, it takes 3-5 days to get a response. Other times, I don't get a response at all. Their platform is not user friendly at all and you often have to take steps in multiple places to accomplish one thing. Due to the breech in contract on their side (not providing Give+ and DonorSearch for over 10 months), I've requested early cancellation of our contract and they refuse. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Bloomerang's customer service is fantastic! The videos are great for learning at your own pace. I love that webinars are live and recorded. Being able to offer suggestions for ways to make Bloomerang even better is great. The one issue is that we've repeatedly had scheduled reports not sending, and being told "delete the schedule, and recreate it, if that doesn't work, delete the report, and recreate and and recreate the scheduled send." And then the same thing happens.

I converted to Bloomerang several years ago and have not regretted my decision for one moment. The system is easy to learn and easy to operate. It does not require a dedicated IT team - nope! I can run that report myself. For a small fundraising shop, where you want to spend your time with your donors, not your software - this is the one!

Bloomerang has made my life easier as I can send letters to our donors with a couple of clicks. Sending bulk emails is a much quicker process as well. Our donors also love the various methods to donate.

A really good system
What I appreciate most is the ease of use and that system is useful for multiple purposes--the storage of donors and their activities, a communications system with donors, and the generation of reports. I would like, however if there was automatic training when changes are made in the system.

Bloomerang has met our every expectation in the two years we have been clients. The functionality is similar to pricier CRM/Donor Database Management systems. The chat support is top notch! The associates are prompt, informed and really work to understand the issues and get things resolved. The return on investment is among the best in the industry; especially for smaller organizations with modest budgets and fewer thank 1,000 donors. Bloomerang is a Win-Win!!

I love Bloomerang because it is easy to use and offers a lot of features. However, when I asked how I could use Bloomerang to text a large group (8000), they steered me to one of their products that did not answer my needs. I would have appreciated them telling me they couldn't do that, but had another suggestion.
