I don't like the way they conduct business.
Ordered and paid Nov 28. Received Dec 19.
I can understand delays in shipping but I do not accept the pushy way they maneuver customers to sign up for auto delivery. I tried to re-order 2 bags of coffee for $47 and they tell me I need another $1.20 for free shipping. I didn’t see anything for sale at that price.. So 2 bags for $55? I don't think so and when I checked reviews I found many unhappy about being tied into auto delivery. I don't like the way they conduct business.
I go here for coffee everyday
I go here for coffee everyday. Very enjoyable
I wish i can give them 0 stars
I wish i can give them 0 stars. The customer service is terrible. I purchased a Lors Coffee machine and they were great. Peets bought them and did not even notify customers that their subscription would be canceled. I have been trying for months to buy coffee from Peets and it is out of stock everywhere. I have called numerous times and they say will be available tomorrow. Nobody from customer service calls you back. Terrible company do not buy PEETS.
My favorite coffee
Peet’s Coffee is super tasty. The website is easy to navigate and shipments have always come on time. This is my favorite coffee!
I wish there were ZERO STARS
I wish there were ZERO STARS. Horrible Service. Horrible Privacy handling of data. Endless emails despite multiple unsubscribes. No way to change your email so you can control it. No way to delete your information. Customer service phone line only offers options for purchases, no general customer service. I HATE PEETS and will never shop there again.
I was a sometimes Peet's coffee drinker…
I was a sometimes Peet's coffee drinker until I got an espresso machine and discovered the joy of making my lattes with several of Peet's dark roasts! Unbelievable flavor...why buy a $5 latte when you can make your own and it tastes amazing. I have a Peet's subscription and love that it has the flexibility to delay, change, or skip shipments. Plus when they have items on sale of offer discounts, you can often get your regular product or another added on for the discounted price and have it shipped for your next delivery date. LOVE PEET'S!
Peets online customer service and fulfillment are waste of time
Peets online website didn't fulfill my first-time order at all. The customer service rep (possibly an AI-generated bot) claimed they were working hard to fulfill the order. Peets' website claims the usual shipping time is 2 business days but busier times would get an arbitrary, undefined longer shipping period. I waited 5 business days and, since they could not promise to ship within 10 business days, Peets cancelled my order. Peets is owned by a large multinational company, so maybe that explains the lousy service. I decided to order much better coffee from a small business vendor.
Terrible Online Order Management
Terrible Online Order Management. No follow-up emails telling you the shipment is on its way with a tracking number. Online Order shipments take up to 10 days for fulfillment. Confusing and incomprehensible order page for subscriptions or immediate orders.
Stale beans, lousy fulfillment
I first got Arabian Mocha Sanani in a Peet's coffee shop. I went on to mail order it because the shop could rarely get FRESH roasted beans - it is now not available in the shop. Peet's has change their definition of fresh roasted, and now send me beans that were roasted a week before they ship them to me, so I now get beans that are 10 days or more since the roast date - most recently they shipped me beans on 4 Oct that were roasted on 24 Sept and I got them on 8 Oct. Those are old beans, no matter what they say about the packaging keeping them fresh. The crema, for example, is notably less 8 to 10 days after ROASTING, not after I open the package and the really wonderful flavor highlights are gone by then at most 14 days after roasting.
Recently their fulfillment has gotten worse: I had a once a week subscyaription. I received one week's over a week late, and the next week's on the following day - so no coffee for 2 weeks, and then 2 pounds in 2 days.
Peet's Big Bang medium roast whole bean coffee…
This is a review of Peet's Big Bang medium roast whole bean coffee. I purchased a 10.5 ounce bag that was on sale for $8.99 US at my local Meijers. Regular price is $10.99 US.. This coffee came packaged in a light weight resealable Mylar foil bag with a standard degassing valve. The package had very little information about the coffee inside, roast type and basic brewing instructions and expiration date. This is a blend of Arabica beans. Upon opening the bag the fragrance of the whole beans was pleasant, sweet and coffee like. Inspecting the beans I found a high-quality bean roasted to a medium roast in my opinion. This coffee had an expiration date of 5/2025. I ground 50 grams to my normal one notch course of medium on my Bodum Bistro burr grinder, again this coffee had a very pleasant fragrance. This 50 gram dose was brewed with 1.2 liters of cold filtered water in a Cuisinart Pure Precision CPO-850 automatic pour over coffee maker.
The aroma from this coffee while brewing was almost non existent. Upon cupping I found this coffee to have a similar aroma, tasting this brewed coffee I found virtually no acidity, and a pleasant but not heavy mouth feel. This coffee was smooth on the palate but I found it to have very little actual coffee flavors...it was quite bland. The SCA rates coffees with a cupping score of 80 or higher as specialty grade coffees. Using their scoring system I rate this coffee at 78. Peet's is considered by most as the originator of the second wave coffee movement...the introduction of specialty coffee. As many of you may know my benchmark for coffee blends is Eight O'clock Original whole bean. This Peet's blend has a long way to catch up. While I could not find anything to dislike about Peet's Big Bang, I really could not find anything to like about it either. At a price on sale of 86 cents/ounce or $13.75/pound this is quite expensive for coffee that is less than mediocre, let's say I was underwhelmed...very underwhelmed. Who is this coffee for, anyone who has money burning a hole in their pockets or someone who is a name dropper. I seriously can not recommend this coffee, it was a huge disappointment and is not worth the money spent.
ORDER NEVER SHIPPED
Order was never shipped. Company never responded to Customer Service email inquiry. Expected a better experience from a premium coffee company.
Peet's coffee bags can not be recycled
Peet's coffee bags can not be recycled. From user friendly, easy to manipulate, long lasting, recyclable brown paper bags, Peet's has chosen heavy, difficult-to-bend-and-manipulate one-time-use heavy plastic bags. No more choosing how much coffee you buy. One pound bags are the only option.
I have begun my search for another coffee to use in my daily cappuccino.
Big Thumbs Down on Honey Almond coffee!
I'm a longtime fan of Peet's wonderful coffee. It's my go-to daily coffee. I typically buy the bags of beans at the grocery store and grind them at home. For something different, I decided to try the ground Honey Almond Peet's. My honest feedback is that it's terrible. The taste is so disagreeable that I couldn't even finish my mug- full. In fact, it gave me a bit of a stomach ache from the smell and the flavor. I won't stop drinking Peet's, but now I know to stick to my usual and not experiment with one of their new creations!
K cups gone south
My husband have been loyal keurig customers since the machines were invented. We order all k cups from them. After a CA trip where we experienced Peet’s we switched over to Major Dickason’s. They have been excellent until the last few months. I was schooled by Keurig that the top of each k cup should be swelled up a little and now none of the Peet’s are, even those from the grocery store. It also tastes bitter. I called Peet’s, no prompt suited my purpose so I just picked one. The young man heard my story and said, “Oh, you are talking about HOT beverages…we just have cold ones here…let me give you that direct number.” It turned out to be Keurig! What is going on? They led me in circles, criticizing the water, the machine, the usual. I have gone back to Green Mountain…a shame.
Old coffee bean strong soap taste
Purchased Peet’s whole bean from Rosauers Spokane Valley 13OCT23. It was on sale so I should have been alerted // this coffee had to be well in excess of a year since roast as the soap taste was so powerful it made me nauseous. Obviously an inventory dump. I dumped it in thie trash this morning. There is a reason Peet’s does not provide a roast date. Caveat emptor.
Gender racism
I'm sitting in Peet's Coffee on 3rd Avenue in San Rafael opposite the Whole Foods and the server kind of entitled. While was talking to her doing my order trying to choose a pastry and a girl came through the door and cut the line and she took the her order before taking my order. I see this from time to time women taking preference over men to serve first. Her name was Jenjer. I'm so over this disrespectful treatment of men. Good luck
Peet's Suffers Under Foreign Ownership
It's a sign of the times, now owned by Germans, Peet's Customer Service has gone to hell. After my order was delayed for weeks I cancelled it. I reordered online (horrible website) and bought a pound at a nearby store. Next they delivered BOTH orders. Calling or online Customer Service sends you to India. It was awful, they would not take back the cancelled order, even though their website confirmed the cancellation. They did take back an order mishap years ago but no longer. Now after 40 years I'm no longer a customer.

Had £32.33 attempted to be taken out of my account. Have no knowledge of this company, never heard of it or used it - and looking at the reviews this is obviously common. Customer services were of no help.
Great coffee, poor subscription fulfillment (slow)
Great coffee, but mediocre subscription service.
Major Dickasen Decaf is by far the best decaf around.
But I'm disappointed in the really slow shipping for online orders. I have a regular subscription, and the website offers a button "SEND NOW" in case I'm running out. But "now" is 1-2 weeks later. It's not just shipping, which is unaccountably slow, but internal processing because it can be several days after pressing "SEND NOW" until I get an email saying "We're processing your order...".
I suppose I'm comparing Peets with Amazon where orders are processed the same day and next-day delivery is common, and 2nd or 3rd day almost always.
Just saying... it makes me want to cancel my subscription and go buy beans in person at a nearby (not Peet's) shop.
The absolute worst website and customer…
The absolute worst website and customer service
Have a subscription- they tell me I need to update my credit card information which I did
Get several emails telling me my subscription can’t go thru - that I need to change in their system
I check and newly updated information is there so I call - on Friday and this morning- the rep couldn’t speak English and kept telling me I need to update info
They may lose me as a customer
