Professional communication, insufficient workmanship
I booked a mobile car wash with Steamgreen at my home address. I had taken time off until 9:00 AM to hand over the key and then go to work. I received written confirmation that they would arrive at 8:30 AM. However, at 8:10AM the driver messaged that he would not arrive until 10:00AM.
I called and cancelled the appointment since the agreed time was not respected. Shortly after, the company contacted me, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered to wash the car free of charge as compensation for the delay. I appreciate that gesture and their effort to resolve the situation before it affected my schedule.
My car is new and was only mild dirty from recent snow, with some mud — no heavy soiling. After the wash, there were visible streak marks on the paint and windows left from the cloths used.
The driver’s floor mat still had several small white spots. The staff member said they could not be removed by the machine, yet I was able to remove them myself with just a finger and no cleaning product. This suggests the area had not been properly wiped manually.
The area under the license plate still contained dust and leaves and had not been cleaned.
There were also a few small insect marks on the front. In this cold season there are practically no insects, so we are talking about only two or three small marks that could easily have been wiped off. When I pointed this out, I was told insect removal is a separate service at an additional cost.
While I value how they handled the delay and the offer of a free wash, the overall cleaning quality did not meet my expectations — especially compared to the company I usually use. I will therefore not use their service again
