Xbox keeps informing me of age verification, but after doing some research on Yoti, it ain't happening. They track users without consent, which violates EU GDPR laws. Read for yourself Google (... See more

Awful app and awful website. Won't scan my face without constant errors and have tried all known fixes multiple times. Even tried phone number verification and yoti sent me a code which did not work and resulted in an error message over and over again.
I am now locked out of my console that I paid for with actual money.
I'm not sure how much Microsoft is paying these clowns but It is far far too much.
If I could rate it lower than one star then I would.
Age verification is dreadfully done, facial scan just doesn't work despite trying numerous times
yeah this is a scam, verified my age then quickly jumped in to say it failed, beyond stupid
awful service, attempted twice to get indentity check, apparently they don't let you know if or why you are rejected, just told if the site you use it on lets you in you've passed! Said the maximum wait time would be 24 hours, I am now on day three
So yoti seems to handle miscrosofts age verification, or atleast for xbox, but the photo system doesnt verify, the scan and id system fails before it even trys to access the camera and finally after signing out of my phones microsft account, into a 16 year old xbox account on my phone and then verifying via my phone provider I finally managed to verify.even though I had already verified the day the system went live and we were notified, cheers for ruining my games night with mates, awful service
Waste of time, now can't use Xbox due to this crap, doesn't verify anything but quick enough to take your details. Fells like a scam to me.
Absolutely crap service. First of all, those in Westminster pushing Self ID and the braindead idiots profiteering from it can kindly go and get stuffed. Secondly Yoti's interface, frankly, doesn't work. I was kicked off of Xbox Live with NO WARNING just to fill out this stupid ID check that DOESN'T EVEN WORK. Kindly go away and fix your awful broken service before you force people to have to use it. 0/10, leave me alone.
worst app ever they are the worst in every f case never use this app they took everything from me my jobs and career they cant even verify normal issues

Poor software design. Scanned UK driving license 100 times and not accepted one. The app has to recognise that some cards do not have conventional first and last names.

The worst verification tool ever.
I work in IDV i(id verification) and this is by far the worst tool I have witnessed. The GDPR issues are also very concerning. I will be raising my concerns with the ICO (Information commissioners office). I would recommend everyone else who has these concerns to do the same to get this dodgy outfit barred from trading.

Just another tracking system.
Wxample cod is an over 18 game. Yet kids play it. I dont want to play with children thanks. Your problem not mine. Yoti is just another digital id scam

It's a datamining company... their privacy policy is ambiguous at best and microsoft decided to apply a one size fits all with this company. Don't trust, don't use, there's not transparency, they are asking for way too much personal information for something that is not even worth it.

Digital id being introduced through the back door, under the mask of the online safety act, asking children to verify their age against their xbox accounts or they basically make xbox quite useless for them, tell you kids to speak to one another on WhatsApp and boycott Microsoft, even better switch over to PlayStation

has to be the worst ever for age verification. It just doesn’t work at all

39 and just want to use Bluesky, they use KWS which uses Yoti for scanning. Yoti constantly gives something went wrong errors. Tried different lighting, tried gasses off, tried pulling my hair back, nope, errors galore. Fix your face scanning or get out of the age identification business.

Absolute trash app.
The frame used to orient images uses the cameras zoom but the captured image does not meaning they then decline the image as being unclear as it's too small.
The facial scan can't cope with beards which is amateurish at this point.
**To respond to the response, the first point is regarding the document capture not the face. The image presented in app is definitely different to the image captured then read into the app. Might be the app might be the phone, but it's an issue
For the second point I know it's the beard because it's trying to read the bottom of my beard as my chin. With the beard in full frame the rest of my face obviously isn't correctly scaled.

After being nagged by Xbox to verify my age with 'Yoti', I gave in and tried. Using my phone number, the same number I've had for many years. Yoti decided that after me putting in the verification code they sent, it was no longer a valid source. It looks like data harvesting on a grand scale. I'll remain unverified thank you very much, you'll be asking for my image, fingerprints and DNA next, FRO.

I find the app lacks potential, as the display options are limited; meaning having to display full documents to fulfil some regulatory check.
The customer support team were of no help.

it is unable to scan my driving license or passport

Using latest Android phone and Chrome browser.
Trying to do this for security clearance for work.
Certn redirects to Yoti for Face ID Checks.
Standing next to window in daylight, you get 3 attempts then it fails and you can't try any more.
This is my fourth attempt and have to keep paying every time to get 3 attempts, fails and then you have no further options to retry.
Joke of a company and product.
