Set Adrift
06:48
|
|
||
|
Set adrift,
on a ocean of apathy.
No hope or heading.
A smothering weight,
Unseeable, ethereal.
Irrefutable.
Upon my chest,
A hunched figure sits.
A suffocating fog,
steals the air from the breast.
A reflection,
Of long lost meaning
Hollow dark eyes.
Unblinking, sinister stare.
Bleeding in technicolour
From between its toothy grin.
Visions of the beyond,
Flood into My mind.
Paralysed by the slobbering void
It beckons for my embrace.
Reaching out its rotten hand.
To pull me within.
Summon the strength,
To open my eyes
and rise to my feet
Set adrift,
on a ocean of hope
New course new meaning.

Capacity for Reason
07:07
|
|
||
|
Fully rebuked of purpose,
Faced in totality with the absurd,
Existing simply to exist.
Where we've lost the ones we live for.
Betrayed by our gods.
Cast aside by society.
We are all confronted by the absurd.
The human mind, bears the capacity for reason.
Yet our world holds no such thing.
The futility of all actions taken.
From which we can not return.
The human mind, bears the capacity for reason.
Yet our world holds no such thing.
The futility of all actions taken.
From which we can not return.
The self exists for no reason
Then ultimately ceases to be.
Life is a constant cycle of vain endeavours
Since it is meaningless,
this moment of becoming is precious and a beautiful thing.
Existence proceeds essence
We are not born with nor gifted meaning
But must craft it for ourselves
The lucidity which constitutes our torture.
At the same time crowns our victory.
There is no fate which cannot be surmounted by scorn
The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man's heart.
The human mind, bears the capacity for reason.
Yet our world holds no such thing.
The human mind, bears the capacity for reason.
Yet our world holds no such thing.

Lost in Abjection
09:28
|
|
||
|
Where everything is built on unstable shores.
No ships come to tie their moors.
Nothing left behind, nothing to remind.
The soul of what could be, what's lost and shall not return.
Lost in abjection
And I wonder why
I can't seem to connect
With the world at large.
Those around me or those I claim to love.
And I wonder why
This sorrow haunts my very being
Loss follows every heart
So why am I alone.
And I seem to wonder
Why the world is suffering
Why we're all suffering
So why are we alone.
I seem to wonder.
I seem to wander, lost in abjection.
Where everything is built on unstable shores.
No ships come to tie their moors.
Nothing left behind, nothing to remind.
The soul of what could be, what's lost and shall not return.
Lost in abjection
