Nothing could have prepared Sonny for the thing Ben was telling him right now. It had been just a normal training day, and Sonny hadn’t had any inkling as to why Ben asked him to see him at the first team’s restaurant after training. Ben had said that he wanted to show Sonny something, but Sonny thought that maybe it was about the house Ben was planning to buy—they’d been discussing the property quite a lot since the one Ben was keen on was in the same area as Sonny’s.
But Sonny instantly felt his world crumbling down when Ben placed a piece of envelope in front of him. The soft colour with gold letters on it gave him a hint of what it might be, and Sonny felt like he was punched right on his gut when he read a familiar name on it.
A Letter For Your Sister

John finds a letter that he wrote for her when they were still in high school, one that he never actually gave to her. They’re going to get married in two weeks.
“Come in.”
John heard the voice from inside the room. He carefully opened the door and peeked inside. The girl’s gaze found him through the reflection on the dressing table’s mirror. She was curling her hair and she paused when she realised that it was John knocking on her door.
“Hey, Els. Can I talk to you for a second?”
“Sure. Come in, John. Back from training?”
“Yeah.” John entered her bedroom and took a seat on the edge of her bed. “You’re going somewhere?”
“I’m going on a date tonight,” she answered excitedly. “Is my sister home? I thought she was still at work.”
“She is. I’m going to pick her up in a minute. Uhh– I’m actually here to see you.”
Messages From Her Ex
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent has her phone with him when some messages from her ex pop up on the screen.
Everything was going well. Trent was listening to a song with a headphone on as Jordan talked to the camera, giving answers to some questions about him—they were trying to figure out which one of them knew each other better. They were shooting YouTube content before the training session today, and honestly, Trent had been having fun so far.
But the fun immediately ended for Trent, when he saw a notification pop up on the phone.
The phone belonged to her. Her. A staff from the media team, whom Trent had had a crush on for so long, whom he had been going on dates with for a while. He knew the phone was hers, not only because she was the one who gave it to him, but also because he was familiar with the yellow phone case with her initials printed on the back.
More importantly, he knew her ex-boyfriend’s name. He got real alarmed when the name showed on the screen with a couple of messages that said:

The thing was, it had been long since she wasn’t single anymore, since that day Jesse suddenly confessed his love and asked her to be his girlfriend, which she’d said yes to. Sometimes she just forgot the fact that she was dating someone. She hadn’t been dating for quite a while—had gotten a little bit too comfortable being single—so she was easing herself into her new dating life.
Sometimes she forgot that she couldn’t get too friendly or too comfortable anymore with her long-time best friend, Marcus.

The first thing Tyrone saw after he opened his eyes was the light that escaped through the curtains. When he realised that he should probably wake up and get ready for training, he stretched his neck, turning his head to the left, then to the right. His gaze fell upon her, who was still peacefully sleeping beside him.
She looked beautiful even in her sleep, he still thought that she was. It used to be more to it but now, it was just that. His heart used to beat faster as he admired her beauty, he used to think about how much he loved her and how lucky he was to have her in her life.
It wasn’t the case anymore because in fact, he had fallen out of love.
Silly Little Things

Jordan hears her cry out and gets alarmed. But she’s actually crying over something silly.
Jordan was getting ready for bed. He’d just done washing his face and was dabbing his face with a small towel. He was about to open the drawer—the next step was to put on some toner and moisturiser—but suddenly he got real alarmed, because he heard a loud cry from the bedroom. A wail, and it sounded serious.
Jordan didn’t waste any second to drop whatever he was doing and walked out the bathroom. He searched for her figure on the bed with worried eyes. She was still in the same state as she was when he’d left her earlier. She was lying on the bed, wrapped in a warm blanket, with a phone in her hands.
Making An Effort (Fix This)

She flies to London to surprise Sonny. They haven’t been talking after an argument that they had, where he says that she doesn’t make any efforts for their long-distance relationship. [Requested]
The busy streets of London looked merry like always. People were out in the evening and the city lights were beautiful. On a normal occasion, looking at this view through the car window would usually make her feel calm and warm. But it wasn’t the case tonight, knowing that with every passing second, she was getting closer to reuniting with Sonny.
This was an impulsive decision. Very impulsive of her. But when it comes to love, sometimes you need to do things that your normal-self would call crazy. Especially when you know that you could only pull back your relationship from the brink of its ending only if you do something.
A Conversation With Ralph

They have a quarrel in the morning before Jack leaves for training. When he comes back, he finds her having a conversation with their dog. [Requested]
“What do you mean you can’t?”
She folded her arms, leaning on the kitchen counter. The gesture was a sign that she was being serious—Jack had been dating her for long enough to know it. The demanding tone of her voice also said so.
“I can’t. I can’t go to lunch with you and your mum today,” Jack said as he picked a can of drink from the fridge, quickly shutting the door. “I’ve got an interview after training.”
“What interview?”
“An interview with Sky Sports or something.”
“But you said you’re available today, that’s why we chose today to pick my mum up, have lunch, then we’ll go to the hospital to visit my sister and the baby. I’ve even bought the presents you told me to get.”

For the first time, she witnessed her boyfriend cheating on her. With her own eyes, she’d just seen him kissing her friend. A business trip to Manchester turned out to be a little getaway with the other girlfriend on the other side of London. Marcus and Lily. Even their names sounded great together.
She’d heard gossip, words from her friends, rumours that A had seen Marcus with a girl somewhere, or that B had seen him in a different place than what he’d told her he was at, or that C had seen him driving away in his car with someone familiar. She’d heard so many things for months. Now she felt stupid for ignoring those gossips and kept trusting him.
Because apparently those gossips were all true and that Marcus was a total liar. He was a cheater.
