Also for Me Personally i feel that the story just kinda reads better thematically when team mz are all adults, because they're the Direct Antithesis to L.ysandre in x.y and they're directly representative of themes in this game. U.rbain was literally homeless, L.ida wasn't able to get the money to pay rent, N.aveen lacks support at all. From a classist point of view, they are all "people that take", the people that L.ysandre saw as a blight (if im reading x.y right???) but from the point of view of z.a itself, they are all people who inherently deserve help and sympathy, not for what they can do, but because they're simply people. Z.a is themed around this idea of community and the wealthy and I just personally feel that it'd lose its bite. Or maybe I'm crazy I DON'T KNOWWWW i don't know

I want to make an analysis about Naveen as a queer-coded character but tbh. What even is there to say.

  • Naveen’s design is so androgynous that many people thought they were a girl when they were first revealed
  • They have an interest in a feminine-coded hobby (sewing)
  • Their guardian pressures them to instead focus on something traditionally associated with men (academia)
  • When they refuse to do this, their guardian then tosses all things associated with their feminine-coded hobby (I’m sure many people can relate to their guardian(s) tossing out things that indicate queerness, such as queer books)
  • This causes them to be so upset that they run away, where they meet Urbain/Taunie
  • They then begin partially living with a found family, where they can pursue their feminine-coded interests freely
  • Also, there’s a streamer girl that they Really Really Really Admire but is not at all implied to be romantically interested in*

Like Come On.

* this can be read as either, 1), Naveen not being interested in women generally, 2), a gender envy-type situation, or the secret 3rd option: both
