I knew they got rid of Volescu which was whatever but I’m sad they also got rid of Overse. I get it there are in fact too many characters in this series for a TV show but also BOOO BOOO

I was like “why would they cut the scene where Gurathin tells everyone Murderbot’s name that’s such an important scene and says so much about the characters” but they just moved it later in the narrative crisis averted. And I actually like it being Murderbot and Gurathin digging around in each other’s heads simultaneously bc it once again emphasizes how they’re The Same

Watching Murderbot is giving me flashbacks to going to liberal arts college. The Preservation Aux team truly are .5 seconds away from doing a pronoun circle at any given time.

My biggest complaint about Murderbot so far is that clearly World Hoppers is the Star Trek-like show and Sanctuary Moon is a soap opera that takes place on a colony. And yet they’ve chosen to portray Sanctuary Moon as the Star Trek adjacent one. Which is all wrong obviously. This is extremely minor and petty however I feel very passionately about it

The tv show is very good at emphasizing all the ways that Gurathin and Murderbot are Literally The Same which is one of my favorite things in the books but which I feel like they don’t always remember and take full advantage of
