I think it’s really cool that these two have a sort of bro/sis relationship together, Sinth hasn’t ever sired many vampires in the past and although he has no reason to look out for Astrid he finds that he just can’t help his curiosity and interest to this peculiar girl. To Sinth, Astrid’s extremely religious and innocent attitude is something very rarely found among the undead, and although he may pester and insult her for it, in truth it makes him remember the past that was good, makes him want to preserve something that he’ll never obtain or enjoy for himself. Maybe reminds him that life isnt always that fucked up
