The mayor of Newark, New Jersey got wrongly arrested (kidnapped) by ICE because he tried investigating a building that's been turned into one for ICE to keep the people who they kidnapped inside.
He was off of their property when several of ICE members went outside with masks on to take him in in handcuffs.
This is your reminder that Nazi Germany pulled shit like this. They called it Gleichschaltung, and one aspect of this was giving themselves permission to kick anybody out of any level of government they didn’t like and throwing them in jail or a concentration camp.
