my nerevarine (nameless), somewhere close to Mandaran (Tamriel Rebuilt)

the armor depicted here is somewhat based on this native dunmer ebony mod , he is on the eastern side of the Morrowind mainland, this painting isnt entirely accurate (you cant see Red Mountain through the fog obv) but ive wanted to make an environmental piece, theres more of those to come

ive been making a lot of art lately due to my long vacation from uni C:

a bit of trivia: so far im interested in concepts that the nerevarine didnt exist before waking up on the boat to morrowind, that he is a True Dreamer or came into existence as a self defense of the Godhead, therefore he has no real name, he is not nerevar, he is also not Teldryn, although Teldryn mightve based himself off of the nerevarine. The nerevarine is an outlander to the entirety of tamriels universe, the player

I know its just made up fantasy lore for a video game, but this is probably one of the most upsetting things we learn about the Thalmor. Innocent people, refuges, not even allowed to flee, but hunted down and burned to death in a foreign land.

We also have a decades long "dark" period in The Summerset Isles where they completely cut themselves off from the outside world, but it is heavily implied the Thalmor were engaging in mass extermination of native Altmer dissidents and anyone viewed as impure or an opponent to the regime.

Top it off with you get this dialogue from Delphine about Malborn the Bosmer:

"He's a wood elf - the Thalmor wiped out his family back in Valenwood during one of their purges that we never hear about. Luckily they don't know who he really is, or he wouldn't be serving drinks at the Ambassador's parties."

It's exceedingly clear the Thalmor are unbelievably cruel to everyone, including fellow Altmer. I imagine similar purges happen in Elsweyr as well. Also we should note that a few decades after coming to power in Alinor, the Thalmor assassinated the reigning Mane of Elsweyr, causing terrible chaos for the Khajiit.

I have to wonder if the Thalmors' abject cruelty is going to bite them in the ass eventually. Wouldn't at all surprise me if in TES VI we hear about Thalmor dealing with massive rebellions/insurgencies in the same way The Empire has been.

elder scrolls this is some dark shit this is also what makes Skyrim so depressing to me cause all my bosmer are struggling in Thalmor occupied Valenwood Thalmor the elder scrolls

Yeshua the Silent...

Circa 4E 187

He had taken the name that warrior had given him too, Yeshua the Silent. Something he had given Teldryn in jest, but he didn’t mind it. When Teldryn had asked him why he chose that name, writing his queries in the sand as he was coming out of his skooma withdrawal the old warrior just shrugged and told him it was ‘the first name that popped into his head.’ When he asked him why not a Dunmeri name? He said that Teldryn was the first one he’d ever met. So naturally, he didn’t know any Dunmeri names.
