Ha, I called it! Gekkomon did evolve in Episode 12! Was the wait worth it? Absolutely. This is definitely a great way to end off the first arc of the anime. Complain about the slow pace all you want, but all the stories from the first episode to the twelfth was necessary for Tomoro and Gekkomon’s development.

I do like that Kyo doesn’t frame the choice he poses to Tomoro as cowardly if he doesn’t want to be a Cleaner anymore. Kyo even reassures him that no matter what, they’ll get Asuka back and he’ll look after Kekomon, even if Tomoro decides to walk away from Glowing Dawn.

Then in episode 7 I found out that the way to eat it was by biting the arm, and I thought “that looks painful, so maybe a kiss would be better after all.”
