Well, you of course have my complete and utter projection onto him

• I headcanon him as a trans man, and he has very unconventional top surgery scars (aka they look like claw marks because he gutted the breast tissue out of his chest)
• I like to think he’s demiromantic but struggles with touchstarvedness. I believe he didn’t sleep with any of those prostitutes, merely paid them enough not to ask questions about his body, and just wanted the sensation of skin to skin contact for comfort.
• That being said, I write him far less,,, how do I say this….pathetic? He’s an 18 year old french immigrant with the looks and talent to match, of course he’s a charmer within his human state. And if anything, we’ve learned that, as a vampire, he is a survivor. A century without his lover, and he remains alive despite the many attempts against his life. That being said, i remain to believe he is weak, but in my writing it’s no longer because of lestat changing him on the brink of death, but because lestats state in mourning. He’s emotionally weak, overly empathetic, but not physically weak. You don’t survive a fire twice for no reason.
• Speaking of, I believe this state does affect him physically in the way that his body doesn’t heal as fast. After the second time, he actually gained burned scars, and the scars from his makeshift top surgery never vanished either. By the point in the series, they’d be more faint rather than deep.
• To most of our knowledge, we only know that Antoine’s only family abandoned him, and I think it fuels a desire for a family of his own. Thats why he wants to be apart of Lestat’s little family, even if it’s just a small part. So when he’s denied that, I think he gets a little jealous.
• I think his immaturity peaks out every once and awhile, and sometimes he still embodies a teenager with the way he acts. Specifically when he’s enraged.
• I feel like, with his looks and talent, he’s definitely been exploited before, and in the series he desires nothing more than to protect claudia. Totally the most non canon thing ever but I think he’d absolutely rip out bruce/killer’s throat.
• He speaks mostly french and tires of english despite being fluent in the language because of lestat.
• He refuses to return to paris because it reminds him of the family he lost (SOBS

I have more it’s just the end of the day, I haven’t reread IWTV in a hot minute, and my brain is fried. SO i might add onto this post, but I hope these are good <3

I completely agree. It does not help that I have formed an emotional attachment onto this fictional man but I do adore him and I really wish the fandom did the same. He is so overwhelmingly underrated within the fandom. And if he is known, it’s because his feminine counterpart (who, in my opinion, is nothing like him, though I don’t hate her) is severely hated because of the show </3. He truly is dear to me, and I’m glad to hear there are others out there who appreciate him just as much as I do.
