Four stars for food, ZERO for customer service
UPDATE:
An hour after my Trustpilot review went live - on a Saturday, no less, I received an email from FPP, claiming they had not responded to my email queries because they "went to junk mail". (This doesn't explain their slow responses prior...)
They did credit the money back to my card. However, the fact remains that one cannot depend on meals arriving once ordered and paid for...and customer service merely giving gift codes for future orders after days of constant pestering.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I began ordering from FPP after a major surgery in - for 12 weeks, I was homebound and unable to drive. This provided a great way to feed the family and lessen my husband's burden at the grocery store. It started off great. Hearty, tasty meals, each big enough to feed two people. Yes, some were heavy on the potatoes/rice and lighter on meat, but I got around that by ordering lower carb options.
The problem began when we started receiving incomplete orders. First, unsealed meals spilled in the cooler bag, and then meals missing altogether. The first time, when improperly sealed meals spilled into the cooler, customer service promptly issued a gift card for future meals.
The second time, when meals I'd paid for were missing from the order, I had to pester them for a refund, which I requested to be credited back to my credit card. After a week, they finally sent me "a gift for you" message with, you guessed it, a gift card (in the form of a code to enter at checkout) for a future meal and a generic note insinuating that this was a gift and not reimbursement. Now, my latest order was missing several meals. Six days and three emails to customer service later, I've heard nothing.
The problem is that one must order meals a week (or a little more) in advance. By the time a customer realizes there is a problem, s/he has already set up an order for the following week's meals. Worse, once orders are placed, there are NO refunds and NO cancellations permitted.
These meals range between $15 - $29. Being tossed a gift code - after repeated begging does not begin to cover either the price already paid or hassle of scrambling to send someone to the store, spend more money, and then cook.
Also, be aware - do not be fooled by the 4- and 5-star reviews! Even here on TrustPilot, scroll down and look at the 3 five-star reviews - each is one sentence, left by a person with one review, and on the same day. Even those are bogus!
If you have a less than stellar experience or even a meal that missed the mark and given 3 stars, the website WILL NOT publish your review. Be very careful with this company. I would look elsewhere for meal delivery.
