only reason this is a 1 star is because…
only reason this is a 1 star is because there is not an option for zero stars. She claims to have been at my mother’s house and either she took the picture and left or took the picture on another day. she never came to the door and her dog never alerted to anyone being there. She originally was supposed to be at her house at 10:00 in the morning but SHE changed it to 2:00 pm. She messaged us at 2:08 saying she’s on her way (I later found out she drove 30 minutes to get to the house). I had to leave my mother’s house at 2:40 to pick my son up from school, no one was in the driveway. I was back at my mothers house no later than 3:00 pm and no one was in the driveway. When asked why she never showed up she claimed that she sat outside for a long time. My mother has a doorbell, she has my mother’s phone number, she could have knocked, but she chose not to do any of that. She just sat in her car if she was there at all. This was our very first appointment. This is unacceptable.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO CLEAN
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO CLEAN
AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A VOUCHER. Because the fine print that is hard to see is SIX MONTHS … it’s a scam
Then when life happens and you move you’re screwed
Stay Away From Homeaglow!!!
Do not use Homeaglow. They took money from my bank account they had no permission to take, and then refused to refund it. I booked a cleaning using a Homeaglow voucher and paid for that agreed upon service. As soon as the service was done, they took more money from my bank account, without permission. You can't get a human on the phone when you call; it's always a voicemail steering you to the app. I emailed them several times and did get responses, and in each, they refused to refund the money, claiming it was clear I was joining a membership when I booked the cleaning. It was not clear and if it was not clear at all to me, I'm sure I'm not the only one. Then, to make matters worse, they say they will deduct over $100 to cancel the membership. I am a senior and on a fixed income. This presented a hardship to me. I never intended to be a part of any monthly membership at Homeaglow and now feel over a barrel with them. I had to cancel my card to avoid more deductions from my bank. It's all been a big nightmare and a lesson to ALWAYS look at reviews before booking any service. If the offer sounds too good to be true, it is. Homeaglow has a LOT of very negative reviews and Reddit has quite a few scam alerts for them. STAY AWAY! I don't want you to have to go through this.
Do not join
Do not join. Not good cleaning. Then got into a membership. Thought it was cancelled but it was not. Charged way too much for nothing. Company would not refund. They know I did not use service.
If I could not even give a star I…
If I could not even give a star I wouldn't this company is a real joke it uses your time and you waste your money getting the supplies and then if you have one problem at all they close the app down and also I had to do a free cleaning I never got paid for and they double refunded my money to the client so she got paid for me to come clean her house and they took the money for that out of another person that I had to travel 60 miles to clean their house so I only got paid like $20 for their cleaning ridiculous disgusting
Bad Bad and terrible
Bad. Misleading. Charge a minimum of 3 hours and leave 45 minutes early. Charge $59 to join and they charge after cancelling following one visit. Were 1 hour and 45 minutes late. RUN AWAY!!!
HOMEAGLOW IS A SCAM
HOMEAGLOW IS A SCAM. With HORRIBLE customer service
HomeAglow is a Scam
This is a scam and a no show...We received several notifications of time changes and fake ETA's. After I inquired about whether someone was still coming, I received a text that the cleaner was almost here, just running late. Then a 3:18pm notification that my time was updated to 1pm (earlier than that current time), a 3:30pm $71.87 credit card charge, and an untrue 3:58pm notification that the cleaner completed the job after never showing up, and that my voucher of free time was used, supposedly saving me $35.94. I was charged two separate processing fees: $14.06 and $9.37. I attempted to leave zero stars, but 1 is the minimum. How can you get a star for something you didn't do? There's no way to get live help from the company and the site is difficult to navigate. I’M UNABLE TO REMOVE MY CREDIT CARD INFO FROM THE SITE. The only easy thing to do on the site is to add appointments and spend money. I’ve been fraudulently charged, will be disputing this, and possibly suing.
The cleaning crew was excellent price not so much
The cleaning crew was excellent and the advertised prices seemed good. It’s the fine print your locked into a 6 month contract that you start the day of your first cleaning to cancel is the price of all 6 months. Problem is it’s $59 a month then cleaning is charged on top of that if the cleaning was part of it. You’re better off paying a local person you were dreading the price of. That’s why they are offering the first so low is they lock you into a membership.
If I could give them a zero I would
If I could give them a zero I would. Deceptive company that hides all the fees. Makes no mention of any of them on their booking page and has horrible customer service.
Railroaded
The cleaner did show up on time, and the work performed, but not very well.
My complaint is with Homeaglow, since I was unaware I had been signed up for a 6 month membership and was then charged for early termination, to boot. Very unethical.
Bait and switch scheme
Bait and switch scheme. Advertises 19$ cleaning; charged me for a 6 hour clean; however, unable to arrange cleaning and charged my card which I am disputing. I have been trying to reach someone at the company. No phone number and no response via email. I would not recommend this company. I do not need to pay someone to find me cleaners at a average rate of 50$ per hour. I can do that myself. Cancel my banking information. I will also be reporting to BBB and Google.
I really can’t even give them 1 star
I really can’t even give them 1 star. I wasn’t aware that I was signing up for a subscription. Then I stated seeing unexpected charges after signing up for a promo cleaning. I had multiple Cancelled appts on my initial cleaning initiated by the company, I didn’t cancel and on the day they did come out cleaner called me 3 times to say they are running late. You can’t talk to anyone, if you contact customer service they connect you to a chatbot that connects you to a phone service that wants to charge $70 for a 30 min phone consultation…What?!?!? I have validation on there website that my subscription is cancelled but I currently have a scheduled appt and they continue to charge my acct. This business is really shady and they have an F rating here and on the BBB website as well. Don’t sign up for this service the good reviews are fabricated.
If a zero could be the rating I would
If a zero could be the rating I would have placed it. Cleaners do not show up. Out of 8 apts 1 showed. Trying to cancel membership is not easily done. Contacting anyone is email only.
This is the longest review you ever…
This is the longest review you ever read. Sorry.
Let me warn you that they also have similar cleaning companies with different names. Dazzling something, so be cautious of that. I know this because I signed up to be a cleaner and when I was about to arrive at a clients home they sent me a text telling me to be sure and say that I'm from this other company name. I did not do that, but anyway. Here's we go.
After signing up with Homeaglow and completing a background check, I was contacted by a Homeaglow representative for a telephone interview. During this call, I specifically asked how situations are handled when a client books a three-hour cleaning but the requested work requires more time. I was advised that I should contact the client at the three-hour mark to ask whether they would like me to stop or continue, and that if I continued cleaning, the additional time would be billed and I would be paid for it after logging out. I was also told not to stop cleaning until the job was finished.
On my very first job, the client was not home and had not been home for approximately eight months. He requested a full-house cleaning, laundry washed, dried, and put away, and deep cleaning of the stove and oven. I worked as efficiently as possible. At the three-hour mark, I was only halfway finished, so I attempted to contact the client multiple times via calls and text messages to request authorization for additional time. The client never responded. Based on the instructions I had been given during my interview, I continued cleaning until the job was completed, which required an additional three hours of work.
I was never paid for those additional three hours, totaling $75 at the agreed rate of $25 per hour.
On my second job, the client informed me that Homeaglow charged him $266 for the cleaning. I received only $66 for that job. The client expressed concern and stated he was shocked that I was being paid so little when he had already been charged the full amount for my services. I also worked an additional 2.45 hours on that job without being compensated.
In total, Homeaglow owes me payment for approximately seven hours of completed work at $25 per hour.
I made multiple attempts to resolve this issue by requesting payment and attempting to contact Homeaglow. Cleaners are not provided with a phone number for support, despite Homeaglow contacting me by phone for the interview. The only method of communication available is email, and my requests were not resolved.
Additionally, Homeaglow pressures cleaners to lower their hourly rates in order to receive job assignments. I was repeatedly told that other cleaners in my town receive many jobs at a rate of $18 per hour. However, after Homeaglow’s deductions, this rate results in cleaners earning approximately $13 per hour. This is despite the fact that when customers search for cleaners in my town, Homeaglow advertises hourly rates of $45, $50, and $55 per hour.
The rates advertised to customers do not reflect what cleaners are actually paid. Cleaners provide all of their own supplies, yet Homeaglow deducts approximately $5 per hour from cleaner pay for new clients. Cleaners are also charged an additional fee to receive their pay immediately, even though Homeaglow has already billed and collected payment from the customer.
Rebooking with the same client often becomes impossible due to unexplained cancellations, preventing cleaners from establishing repeat clients and recovering lost income. Customers have also complained that they were misled into paying mandatory membership fees.
Based on my experience, I believe Homeaglow engages in deceptive representations regarding pricing and pay, unfair compensation practices, and obstructs cleaners from resolving disputes. And when they did contact me they acted as though they had nothing to do with my pay, that it was between me and the client because in their contract it states that. I wouldn't hire them and I would not work for them. Good luck if you do. And expect to pay a arm and a leg. Or work your butt off with zero mileage reimbursement or for cleaning supplies.
Never again
First: The actual cleaner was fine, late but did an ok job. He was there for too long for what I asked, but just thought he was trying to be thorough. Their contract is tied up in legal BS. One person noted they signed up for 6hr cleaning and ended up being 6 month commitment! Same happened to me! You would do better with a local company not tied to contracts. HomeGlow is a rip-off! Save your nerves and your $ Also, they will put a hold on your $ before service is ever done.
Poor service, even poorer customer service
I bought a 6-hour cleaning voucher, not realizing it locked me into a 6-month membership with a steep cancellation fee buried in the fine print.
The cleaner arrived over an hour late for a 5pm appointment, didn't leave until nearly midnight, and still left areas unfinished - my husband had to reclean multiple areas and actually finish the job the next day. I have allergies to cleaning chemicals (the whole reason I hire a cleaner), and I ended up being sick over the holidays.
I didn't complain right away because it was Christmas and I didn't want to hurt the cleaner's income. Now Homeaglow says I still hav to pay $210 to get out of a membership I never wanted after a service that failed on every level.
Look at the other reviews here, not the ones they paid for elsewhere. This is a pattern. Don't fall for the cheap voucher - you'll pay for it later.

The company is a fraudulent bait and…
The company is a fraudulent bait and switch company. I had "Karen" scheduled for Thursday at 7am. Without any notification that she was cancelling, I received an email at 4:11am from "John" saying that he would be there at 8am that morning. Less than fours from the time of the email. I had a work meeting scheduled Wednesday at 8am. So I had to cancel but they charged me $40 because it was less than six hours from the appointed time. When I contacted "SUPPORT" there was none, just a bunch of FAQs. They charged me another $116 to cancel my entire subscription. This is how they make their money. Do not use this service. It's a scam.
Misleading membership, great cleaner
I booked what was advertised as a one-time discounted four-hour cleaning, and the cleaner herself did a great job — she was professional, thorough, and I have no complaints about the quality of the actual cleaning service.
However, after the cleaning was completed, I was unexpectedly charged a $59 membership fee and discovered I had been automatically enrolled in a recurring membership with a six-month commitment and a cancellation fee. These terms were not clearly disclosed during the booking or checkout process, and I did not knowingly agree to a subscription.
After reaching out, the company did issue a refund, but only after I had to dispute the charge and spend time researching why it happened. Based on my experience — and after seeing many similar reviews — the billing and membership model is misleading, even if the cleaners themselves are doing good work.
I would recommend extreme caution and reading all fine print very carefully before booking.
Callie called me and they are listening…
Callie called me and they are listening wow made my day because I felt like she listened and cared my membership fee was fully refunded
I asked her to revisit monthly membership fee and charges for a cleaner too much
But I am a Fan of Callie she made a difference
