User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0
Steps to reproduce:
After upgrading Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04, Firefox 105 was upgraded to Firefox Snap 106, and now no longer recognises Tixati bittorrent client, and in KDE (my preferred desktop environment) can only open it via Use System Handler.
Actual results:
Clicked magnet link, and Firefox 106 asked which app to open it with. Tixati was not listed, so I manually entered /usr/bin/tixati, but it failed to open Tixati. In Settings I made Tixati the default, but no change. Changing it to Always ask and once again specifying Tixati fails to open it when a magnet link is clicked. But when I set the default to Use System Handler, it lists Tixati, and I can click that, and it successfully opens Tixati, and the download begins.
Expected results:
Open magnet link with Tixati, and also have it automatically be added to the list of apps for Content Type magnet (I just did a Snap refresh, and after 106.0.4-1 was installed, Tixati was no longer in the list of apps for magnet links), as it had no problem doing in v.105 and previous.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
UPDATE: Logging into the MATE desktop I'm presented with a similar Open With box when I click a magnet link, but here when I click Tixati it does actually open Tixati and begin the download. But nothing has changed regarding Firefox's Settings > Applications - Tixati is not in the list of apps for magnet, and manually choosing /usr/bin/tixati does add it to the list, but making that the default results in nothing happening when I click a magnet link.
(Sorry, can't edit comments here) The above should of course say that besides the look of the application chooser, it's exactly the same in MATE as it is in KDE. The difference in MATE is that there is no option to remember the choice and make Tixati the default app for magnet links, which didn't work in KDE anyway. So in both KDE and MATE, every single time I click a magnet link, I need to click on Tixati to either open the app and start the download, or add new downloads to the open app.

My workaround for this issue was to uninstall KTorrent and Transmission, since they weren't being used anyway, and now magnet links go straight to Tixati. In Settings it still shows Use System Handler (default) as the only option for magnet.

This is because Snapd allow only some scheme and this needs to be fixed on that side
