If you see the quote “I refuse to share my body with a man who wouldn’t defend it politically” or any variation of it floating around the internet — it was Kat Blaque who originally said it and she would really appreciate it if people gave her proper credit for it but it’s gone viral on a lot of different platforms and most of the people sharing it don’t know it’s from her or choose not to credit her on purpose.

Like I just know terfs are going to be parroting it pretending it wasn’t said by a black trans woman about herself & her life.

knight who is constantly searching for a good and noble king to serve but cannot fucking find one for the life of him so he has to become the good and noble king himself.

and now all these other knights are coming around like “please let me serve you” and like obviously hes going to let them serve him thats the point of being a good and noble king but its also. very annoying. one of you become the good and noble king for once lets trade

Let me tell you a story.

I am an archeologist. I specialize in a somewhat obscure but by no means boring or meaningless Neolithic culture in Germany.

It has a Wikipedia page. A well curated, surprisingly extensive Wiki page that encapsulates all the important information about the culture, including literature references for further research.

One day, we asked Chat GPT about this culture. W were curious which details it would get wrong.

ALL OF THEM, except for the fact that it’s a culture in present day Germany.

It didn’t even get the chronological time frame wrong and called it a celtic culture.

When we told it it’s wrong, it came at us with made up literature sources. Literally made up. It took two well known German archeologist who weren’t even active at the same time, added a year - both were already dead - and sold that as source.

And it LITERALLY would only have had to quote Wikipedia to get everything right.

THAT is how unbelievably shitty and wrong all those AIs are.

They are making shit up. They are not sourcing information, they’re just slapping words together by their most like relative occurance.

Do not trust ChatGPT or any other so-called AI ever.

we’re genuinely losing the plot with people getting upset about fmcs being petite.

don’t get me wrong—it’s 100% deserved in many cases. fatphobia in mainstream media and the «itty bitty ‘i’m not like other girls’ girlypop fmc with a tiny waist (yet somehow curvy with a massive rack) who is super frail but for some reason is able to become a master warrior in the span of a few months» trope is overused and undercriticised.

BUT

katniss everdeen has never and will never fall under that category. her thinness is due to the fact that she’s lived most of her life on the brink of starvation. her «naturally small» stature (a physical description repeated throughout the series) is portrayed realistically in providing both hindrances and advantages. she is strong, yes, but she’s also canonically a small person and i’m so sick of people going to bat to say that she’s not because they’re mistaking petiteness for weakness.

while we’re at it, her being well-fed is simply NOT true. having more to eat in comparison to her peers in the seam who are literally starving to death does not mean that she actually had enough to eat. she didn’t. she ate more than her neighbours and had access to a healthier diet, but that doesn’t mean it was enough.

even peeta and delly—who actually did have enough—rarely had access to fresh food. food insecurity is a very real problem across the district. that’s. the. point.

all of this!

and i could be wrong but i think it’s at least implied that part of why she’s as small as she is also ties back into her dance with starvation, especially in the critical years of growth that coincided with the aftermath of burdock’s death!

because she was starving or close to it for so long for those years from 11 until after the 74th Games, i wouldn’t be surprised if her growth was stunted! i think she talks about prim growing like a weed after getting steady access to food in cf, but i could be wrong.

i guess my point here is that her height and body shape are even more tied to the food insecurity she experienced growing up, which makes her feelings about parenthood even more understandable! (and the chubby baby legs in the epilogue all the more important!)

ok i’ll shut up now ty
