Don’t waste your money

I paid $99 for a heart shaped box of Valentine chocolates. The box was green and really a darling box but the chocolate inside was close to the worst I’ve ever had. I will say the two pieces of apricot dipped in chocolate was very good. Very fresh. I also got two dipped in chocolate Oreos. The two Oreos were crisp and fresh. But I can buy Oreos dipped in chocolate that are a buck per cookie versus two in a $99 box of chocolate that take up a lot of space. They also had peanut butter cups two milk chocolate and two dark chocolate peanut butter cups. They were literally peanut butter on a base of dark or milk chocolate and then covered with more chocolate. There was nothing special about them at all. My box had 6 big marshmallows that you buy at the store that were stale and dipped in dark or milk chocolate . There were two chocolate covered dates they were stale, flavorless, and then the rest of the chocolates were basically just dark and milk chocolate poured into the little paper cups with some nuts inside of it, they were hard to bite off , the dark chocolate especially was overpowering and the milk and dark chocolate were very waxy, but really sweet and not very flavorful. So I would say this was the worst use of $100 that I’ve ever spent on chocolate.
I’m really surprised that Oprah raved about this chocolate that’s why I tried it but buyer beware!

Most delicious chocolate and added ingredients!

I’ve ordered several times for friends and family. We are all so pleased with the flavor, variety and quality of the chocolate and added delicious ingredients. We are fans of the dark chocolate covered fruits! Packaging and timely shipping are perfect!

Find a better place for custom corporate orders

I wish I had checked Trustpilot’s reviews for Compartes before placing a corporate order for 150 boxes. The customer service was absolutely atrocious. We dealt with a man named Benjamin who was shockingly rude and condescending.

Yes, we were late in sending our recipient list — but Compartes knew the order was coming. They had already developed custom designs, received our proof approvals, and been in constant communication. Despite this, Benjamin refused to work with us to find a solution and simply left us in the lurch.

With service like this, Compartes should not be in the business of custom corporate chocolates. Fortunately, we quickly found another high-end chocolate company who sprang into action and saved the day.

They do not honor lower prices

They do not honor lower prices. Purchased a few items from them and within a week after my purchase the same items were 33 percent cheaper on their own website. I called customer service and asked them to honor the lower price. They flat out refused. I will take my future business else as most vendors are willing to accommodate price matches for recent purchases

They sent gift to wrong address and said sorry not sorry

Placed an order for a gift, filled out their order form with recipient address placed my order, got email that once shipped I would receive tracking, got the tracking that the order was on its way TO ME, not the gift recipient, contacted Compartes they said because I placed the order with Apple Pay it automatically pulls the address of the card holder for the shipping address( they also have a box that you check if it is to get shipped to the card holders address which I DID NOT check as it was to go to the address of the gift person) they said I could contact UPS and change the address, I immediately did that and learned UPS would charge me $16.99 plus $56.72 for a transportation fee, a $71.71 total to have the address changed, no thank you, what poor business practice, so beware if trying to gift through Comparte

Easter order has not arrived yet

Easter order has not arrived yet. Emailed them on the 20th of April to find out why UPS hadn’t received the package 4 days after a request had been made by Compartes. They have not answered me 4 days later. Called today and was told that it would arrive in the time frame I requested. Had no idea that Compartes would sit on an order for at least 4 days before UPS would receive it. Asked for a refund and to cancel the order and was told no.
Although past recipients love these chocolates, I will no longer do business with such an unresponsive company.

THEY STOLE MY MONEY: almost $100

On February 21 Compartes charged me $92.90.
I had not placed that order. After several emails, phone call, tears, begging and pleading they have not refunded me.
If I don't hear from them soon, I will have to call the police. It won't help, but at this point I consider them to be greedy and immoral. Ripping off people. I can't afford to lose almost $100.

Next day air order sent to wrong people 5 days later - no customer service response

I placed an order for next-day delivery, on Feb 11th, after confirming that they would be able to deliver next day for arrival before Friday the 14th. I received email confirmation that my order would indeed arrive on Feb 13th, by next day air. The 13th came and went. No chocolates. The 14th came and went and no chocolates had not been delivered still. These were being sent to an Airbnb and the guest was leaving on the 15th so I promptly contacted Compartes to find out where my cholayss were. UPS hadn’t even received the package for shipping. I altered them to the fact that the recipient would no longer be at the address so that they could pull and hold the order (which again they hadn’t shipped yet). No one ever responded to me.

5 days later I have called and left messages, I have sent emails to their customer service, I have reached out via the website. No one has ever responded to me. They then delivered $400 of chocolates 5 days late to unintended strangers.

If they didn’t have the products they shouldn’t have taken my order, if they couldn’t deliver in time they shouldn’t have taken my order for next day air, and there is zero excuses for the zero responses I have gotten from their customer service.

I ordered a gift set for Valentines…

I ordered a gift set for Valentines Day, and while they do claim to replace if anything is out of stock, and BELIEVE ME, most everything was. I got nothing I hoped for, all replaced with white chocolate which I don’t care for. Customer service was rude and arrogant. I highly suggest going with another company for your chocolate. As far as taste, mediocre and definitely not worth the price.

TERRIBLE Presentation

Wow. I'm so incredibly disappointed. Ordered choco covered oranges 12/2/2024, and finally just received 12/13/2024. They were boxed in a heavy nice box but what a TOTAL MESS when they arrived. They not only looked HORRIBLE when they arrived but the presentation upon receipt was FAR BELOW anything I would have imagined. Very very disappointed for this "highend" chocolatier. :(

I can’t even tell you about the…

I can’t even tell you about the quality! After trying to order the deluxe box for at least a frustrating 40 minutes, I gave up. There were so many glitches with the system, after entering all the info manually, it would send it back to the beginning! I did try different methods of payment etc and never had this issue before!
Also, the 10% off if you enter your email is very deceptive! What it doesn’t tell you until later is that you also have to enter your ph. number! I never offer that info!
I’ll be getting my son’s anniversary gift elsewhere!

I recently ordered chocolate turtles…

I recently ordered chocolate turtles which I have ordered many times before Covid. these were not the same quality as earlier ones. Some nuts tasted old or rancid. Very disappointed. I have in the past, ordered quite a lot of chocolate but now am concerned about quality so am hesitant to order more.
