My experience with DAK has been extremely negative and financially stressful.
DAK requested my tax declaration, which I submitted immediately and in full. Despite this, I was later informed that the documents were allegedly submitted “too late”. As a result, my monthly insurance premium was unilaterally increased to EUR 897.35, without transparent justification.
I find this practice disproportionate, opaque, and financially damaging. Instead of constructive clarification, customers are pushed into heavy bureaucratic processes, formalistic arguments, and immediate financial consequences.
Anyone insured with DAK should be prepared for extensive administrative disputes and significant stress. My overall impression is that complexity and pressure are used instead of fairness and genuine customer support.
I strongly recommend researching alternatives carefully and keeping thorough written records if you deal with this insurer.
