Very disappointing experience from start to finish.
The first issue I have with this company is the fact they use a .ie internet domain which should indicate that this is an Irish based company, I think the legality of this is they have to do business with irish customers to use a .ie address but this definitely made me believe they were Irish based. Big mistake on my part and a warning to others.
Looking at the internet I found the information below.
The company that operates diagstore.ie is Diag Store s.r.o., and its registered office is located in Prague, Czech Republic, not Ireland. Its full address is Hornomecholupska 1196/58, 102 00 Prague, Czech Republic.
• Company Name: Diag Store s.r.o.
• Address: Hornomecholupska 1196/58, 102 00 Prague, Czech Republic
• Registered in: Commercial Register of the Municipal Court in Prague, Czech Republic
Now onto the second issue, I purchased a diagnostic device from the company and it arrived 8 or so days later, it says on their website quick dispatch but as it’s not coming from Ireland that means more than a week to arrive. Quick dispatch but not delivery. It worked for about a week at which point the Bluetooth connection to the device stopped working. I contacted them via Email, there is no phone number. The website says they normally reply within 30 minutes during office hours. I emailed on a Saturday afternoon and they replied on a Monday afternoon, apparently staffing issues. The same delay with the next email.
Anyway after much trying no resolution was reached. I even tried the Irish support desk for the device but they would not help me because apparently the devices diagstore.ie sell are ‘Grey Imports’ and not the same as devices intended for the European market and are not supported by the help desk.
Next I contacted Paypal, thankfully I paid for it with them and response and communication from Diagstore improved. I agreed to return the device. To do this I had to pay for a courier, Diagstore.ie told me in writing that I would get a refund for the courier, they later reneged on this agreement. The courier was very poor and did not collect the package for a number of days and only then after I chased them.
My initial contact about the problem was on the 8th September and I didn’t get a refund until the 26th September. That refund didn’t actually land in my account for another couple of days.
So if you are thinking of buying anything from these guys don’t, at best you are going to get a machine that is not supported by the manufacturer in Ireland (This may only apply to the brand I purchased) and at worst you are going to be without the tool you bought while they try and resolve the issues with the device. If you make a living using tools you cannot afford to be without them for close to three weeks.
I actually hate even giving one star in my review because there was nothing good about this whole experience. The only possible thing I can take from this is to be more vigilant next time. My biggest mistake was not doing a lot more research into the company.
