Refused Car, Kept My Money, Changed Their Story
I prepaid for a car rental through the app and arrived at the rental desk with all required documents: my national driver’s license and a valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
The employee took both documents, checked them, and then told me that my International Driving Permit was “not accepted.” On that basis, they refused to give me the car.
When I requested a refund — since the service was not provided — I was told that no refund would be issued and that I had to resolve the issue through the app.
In the support chat, I was first informed that the rental company claimed my International Driving Permit did not meet their requirements. I responded with official legal references and documentation proving that my IDP is valid and compliant with international standards.
After that, their explanation suddenly changed. Now they claim that I allegedly did not present my International Driving Permit at the desk — which is completely untrue. The documents were physically handed to their employee.
So here are the facts:
• The car was not provided.
• My valid documents were presented.
• No refund was issued.
• The company changed its explanation after I challenged their initial claim.
This behavior is highly unprofessional and raises serious concerns about their internal practices. Refusing service while keeping a customer’s money and then altering the explanation is unacceptable.
I strongly recommend future customers to get written confirmation of every single document requirement in advance and be aware that even if you present all required documents, you may still be denied service without a refund.

A rental company with a terrible attitude toward customers!! Extremely rude service staff who don’t know how to handle criticism. If you even express the slightest dissatisfaction about something, they immediately take an aggressive approach.
They wanted to give me a car with over 20 damages. When I asked a representative to accompany me to inspect the vehicle, and I had comments about how the damages were marked, she simply walked away and left me there.
I had an awful experience and felt like I was getting into a major mess with this company. They even demanded that the car be returned washed — unbelievable!!
I felt so threatened about what might happen when returning the car that I simply left everything and walked away, not even caring about getting a refund.
I also have serious complaints about the website where I booked the car, Economy Booking Rental Car, which published incorrect information regarding the car pickup location — supposedly at the airport. At least that was how it appeared at the time of booking.

This company is a scam. Be very careful.
They trick customers into paying extra costs that are never clearly explained in advance. You do not receive any contract or invoice by email before or after the rental, which is extremely unprofessional and suspicious.
At the office, you are asked to sign electronically multiple times (around 7 times) on a device where you cannot properly see or read what you are signing. You are not given a clear electronic copy of what you signed.
In hand, you receive only two paper sheets:
-one with very poor English that explains almost nothing clearly,
-and another one that is presented as a “contract”, but the explanations are misleading and false.
The staff misleads you, explains things incorrectly, and pushes extra charges that were not transparently agreed upon. Overall, the process feels intentionally confusing so customers pay more without understanding why.
I strongly do NOT recommend this company. Choose a serious rental company that provides clear contracts, emails, and transparent pricing.

All went well, but the pic in the rental page (EconomyBookings) the car picture was shown as a van and we for 5+2 seater. Luckily we managed to fit into the given car. So just make sure you check the rental details. Otherwise all went well.

No credit card? Pay around 50 euro a day extra. Though they can take money from your debit card later if a fine comes trough. They charge 50 euro for that! Also they don't send the fine directly through so you don't have the reduced costs.
Cars are dirty, not filled up. Rental place is outside, in the middle of nowhere. Shuttle drivers drive like maniacs. AVOID! SCAMMERS!

We wish to raise a formal complaint regarding the conduct of the rental car company. The business engaged in behaviour that we consider to be misleading and potentially fraudulent.
At the time of hire, they attempted to pressure-sell additional insurance to our group, despite the fact that we already held appropriate cover. Given the circumstances of our short stay and our need to reach our destination in Lake Garda promptly, we were left with no practical option but to accept their “premium insurance” package.
Upon returning the vehicle, we requested a full inspection. We were advised that everything was in order and that, as we had purchased the premium cover, no further action was required.
However, nearly two months after the vehicle had been returned, an unexplained charge of £50 was taken from my wife’s bank account. This appears to have been processed as a recurring payment, despite no authorisation being given for any such arrangement.
We have reported the matter to our card provider, who have now frozen the affected card, and we have written to the company requesting an explanation. Given the circumstances, we do not expect a satisfactory response, and we intend to escalate this matter to the relevant fraud investigation department.

SCAMMERS Terrible awful company .. awful experience from start to finish and even after I returned home. Did not arrive on time at airport, BULLIED us into paying 200 extra than we had payed the rental company as we would not leave a large sum deposit or a credit card. Spoke to us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner, then when I arrived home almost 6weeks later have taken more money from my bank without authorisation. AVOID. They have been reported to fraud!! FRAUDSTERS !! Plus they are away from the airport in the middle of an industrial estate so very little you can do to dispute the way they treat you unless you want to stranded.

I took a car from felirent Malpensa, full cover insurance !!!!. Return the car very clean and without a scratch !!!! the Arabic guy ( not an Italian of course)was determine to find something to charge me for . Very bad service. Filling the car full close to the airport the indicator in the car is not accurate, they charge extra. Charging tax which no one mentioned before....the desk woman was ok but even though she knew that I was right, she couldn't do anything. There was no one to talk to !!!! . very very bad expireince.

They literally scammed us: two months after returning the car, they withdrew money from our card with no explanation at all.
Also, if you arrive from the airport, you will have to wait at least half an hour before someone comes to pick you up.

BEWARE AND DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Unreliable, won't honor bookings, and the rudest and most aggressive staff you've ever seen in a car rental location. I travel a lot and never leave reviews, but man, this was egregiously bad. I eventually had to run a credit card dispute (which ruled in my favor), but this was the absolute worst car rental company I've ever used. Do not use.

Felirent Bari. The purpose of a review is to advise prospective customers of your experiences and this is what happened to me at Felirent Bari in late August this year. Unfortunately, my fault, I did not review this company before I booked so hopefully you reading this will encourage you to think about your next move. Don't!!
I arrived at their office which is an empty warehouse in the middle of no where. I waited in a queue for 30 minutes only to be met by a very rude agitated male who clearly had no interest in providing me with anything like normal customer service. I had pre booked the car months earlier but the paperwork had not be filled out.
Eventually, the paperwork was completed and he told me the car was outside in the car park. No one in the carpark to assist, I eventually found the car it was very dirty. I videoed the car and was so happy to leave this place. Note. This place generates its own agro. It is not airconditioned, It is Hot, and when I was there, had a long, slow queue and when in the queue you see all the aggression from the personnel behind the desk towards their customers. Are they trained this way??
Anyway, the car itself was OK thankfully.
On return of the car, a young lady inspected the car with me. I had, as the photos proved scratched the plastic wheel trim, Very minor, I did not even know I had done it. Anyway, I had. This is where it all went horribly wrong. She advised me the minor scratches were going to cost me 205 euros. I protested strongly stating this charge was unreasonable. Her attitude elevated to a level of unprofessionalism I have never seen. She is unfit to be in customer service.
Anyway, Felirent won the day as they had my card details and the funds were deducted.
Unfortunately, that's not where my experience finished. The shuttle bus to the airport. Old vehicle, rude driver, no assistance with baggage loading or unloading. Talking on the phone in his hand whilst driving. Arriving at the airport only to be met by an unhappy group who had been waiting too long to be picked up and taken back to that hot warehouse. If only they had known what they were in for.
Summary: Think about my experience before you put yourself thru the same.
PS. I hired 3 other cars on my trip, each on a different island in Greece and they were all excellent, such a difference.
