Absolutely been ripped off they advertised 8x 4 shuttering for sale I rang to confirm there 8x4 and get a price for 27 sheets they gave me a price £400 with delivery they sent me an invoice with confirmation of size 8x4 so while I was awaiting delivery my joiner built the frames the panels arrived they were not as advertised they were all shorter.
So didn’t fit the frames I checked there advertisement and the receipt both confirmed 8x4 so no good
I rang company they told me to bad nothing they could do so I have been ripped of by ( midland plastics & plumbing Ltd ) I offered them 3 solutions
1. Come take back and replace with the correct size shuttering

2. Take back and refund my payment so I could order elsewhere

3. Pay my joiner 1 days work £80 and he will re size frames

There response is silent treatment not interested
So I have been ripped off so my warning to everyone is avoid this company they rip you off

I will put same review on multiple stages a different stage every 7 days until the rip of ( midland plastics &plumbing Ltd ) adress this problem they deliberately caused

18:55 pm 17/11/2024 was leaving the small village of little over we reached a roundabout and as it was green we indicated and moved around said roundabout. Just as we reached the second exit one of your company vans decided to cut us off causing us to slam on the breaks in order to prevent a crash. The driver in the van looked at us. However it was too quick for us to get any kind of registration licence I sincerely hope your work ethic is a lot more polite and professional than this irresponsible behaviour and attitude on the roads. Am highly disappointed in the behaviour of the driver in question

Ordered via Amazon and item never turned up. Shocking service from a company that is just a few miles up the road from where I live. Avoid like the plague!

I placed an order May 2020. The website looked good and price was ok but over all the others they seemed to offer exactly what I needed. After 6 days I had heard nothing, no shipment or 'order in progress' email. Started to question the company so googles them and their phone number. Found here and my heart sank. So many bad reviews!

Then the next day an email saying my order had been shipped. 2 days later it arrives and is exactly what I ordered, well packed and carefully delivered.

Some may say I got lucky, but all I know is I ordered 1 thing from this company and it arrived. I don't often leave reviews but after my worries I thought an honest positive review was needed.

I bought from Midland Plastics a few times in 2015 with last being 2016

The last order i was advised they were moving premises and would be handled there. The order arrived a little later than hoped but as per the others it was perfect.

I think i recall i tracked down the owners mobile number from companies house or something as i too couldn't get through.

I don't think they're a scam company as the owner had every opportunity to NOT fulfil that order.

I think the sad & BAD part is the website needs to be redirected or taken down.

I note in January 2020 there's no way to place a delivery address when placing an order so hopefully no one else can do so.

If i find the new company i will re post the update here as they really were a great company

They take no pride in the quality of their products, they will try to sneak bad parts into the batches in hopes the customer wont notice. The materials are handled haphazardly and are often out of tolerance

I should have read the reviews. Big mistake!! Same issue as others that have left reviews. Ordered then after 5-9 days nothing had arrived so tried to contact only to find out the number on there website is not recognised. I am now over 1 month since order was placed and have only been able to get an auto response from email. I have now opened a case with PayPal so hopefully will get my £103 back.

It does appear that they are continuing to take orders on there website for the propose of committing fraud. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID!! We need to get them shut down ASAP.

I placed an order with them on 30th Sep 2017 and the order total of £36 was taken from my account by Paypal on same day. However I have yet to receive my order. Checking on their web site the status of my order says "address check" what does that even mean ?

Their main business number 0116 2489633 seems to be out of action - I tried it 2 different days. Also no reply from their sales email yet.

Its such a shame if they are gone as I had 4 successfully completed orders with them over the last 2 years and no issues with their products. but its even more annoying if they debited me knowing that they could not fulfil the order - has anyone else got any insights - if I paid through PayPal can I get my money back ?

THEY DO NOT EXIST! NO RESPONSE TO EMAILS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER IS NOT AN ACTUAL NUMBER . AVOID

This company is a scam.
I placed an order back in Aug 2016 and it was never completed. Emails were sent from Midland Plastics that the order is on its way and eventually no communication.
I am amazed that they still have a website, please avoid them as you are wasting your money.

Ultimate Waste of Time

My carpenter recommended Midland Plastics. Maybe he has been lucky? Do we have to depend on luck to get some basics right?
Orders will be in 3 to 7 working days? They will send an email so a delivery date can be arranged?
No email.

Phoned Midland plastics who appologised for no email and arranged with them at the same time for delivery on Thursday 21 july 2016.

Order did not turn up but the email did.

Sent email reply early hours 22 Jul 2016 stating that they did not deliver?

Nothing?

Phoned Midland Plastics during day Friday 22 July 2016. Complained that as promised the delivery had not arrived. Worst is I had ordered work for the weekend. Also that they had breached their 3 to 7 days delivery date.

Their response (my fault)?
Should not have ordered work to be done until Items have arrived.
They even stated that, even if items have arrived I should not have ordered work until the items have been checked as the items may be faulty i.e holes and I would have to replace items. Ludicrous as my carpenter would have to be present to establish if the items were of good quality? Is this company real????

This is very serious. This company as I have now found out is not Better Business Bureua (BBB), in other words not reliable, not responsible, cheap, nasty,unprofessional, unhelpful, money grabbing and certainly in the bracket of deceitful, fraudulent, unreliable, cheating and unprofessional.

My advice is not to pay up front as I foolishly did, not to believe their false claims and certanly not order from this corupt company. I can only hope that I get a delivery at all and sinserely hope that the quality of product is half reasonable. Very worrying.

I cannot see this company going forward outside of the EU with pathetic female voices of appology. They need precise and defined organisation.

Could you deliver Saturday? No. Don't deliver Saturday (obviously don't want to make amense) Might deliver Monday?????

Well it did not arrive Monday?

Not only did I phone but my carpenter paid them a visit in Leicester. This company does not seem to have any sort of tracking for customers. Basically once they have your money thats it. They will do as they please and not communicate with you. You have to chase them.

The Items arrived on the Tuesday (after much argument on the Monday with them) 15 days after the order was placed and 8 days after their promise on order to deliver within 3-5 days.

Midland Plastics seem to be office bound 'Middle Men'. They order from:

Nick Gray actually make the delivery so it seems'middle men' Midland Plastics do not do any work at all.

Just maybe it might be cheaper to go direct?

Avoid at all costs. They don't know the meaning of 'customer service', assuming you can actually get them to answer the phone (have just held on for 30 minutes). Numerous phone calls over 2 weeks, numerous delivery dates promised but still waiting. Would like to name and shame the person who today said "your questions and concerns are not relevant" and who was extremely abrupt and rude but will give her the opportunity to reflect on her manner and to have some customer service training!!!!

Wrong in every way, scratched to hell. Well packaged so not the courriers fault!

Attempted contact

No reply, number is disconnected/incorrect and they have ignored my emails. I requested my money back via paypal and have threatened them with recovering my money via the Small Claims Court - prefferably with bailiffs too!

Lets see what they do now?

Placed order but no confirmation, unable to contact them as their phone number is disconnected and I had to get a refund from paypal. Avoid at all costs.

Reading the other reviews I was also sent 2 sheets of plastic, very scruffy, wrong size, wrong colour, wrong amount!!! Surprised they got the address right!! I've sent countless emails to all the contacts relating to midland, wanna, and plastic sheets. What amazes me is that the site is still active ready to trap other unsuspecting people!!!!! Are there no consequences for internet fraud!!!!?? I'm going to try get my funds back through PayPal but I checked out as a guest and used my mums debit card so not exactly straightforward! Hope everyone else has managed to get their money back ? Would LOVE to get my hands on these people!!!

Same as all the other reviews!! How come they are still allowed to have a website and continue to take money from people. Sorry but if I stood on the street taking money from people I would be swiftly arrested why should they be allowed to get away with this online !!! Luckily my order was only for a small amount t £25 going to see if I can get the money back from my bank will them be reporting to the police!! This should not be allowed to happen these days !!!!!!!!

I wish I had checked this site before ordering with this site, I placed the order over two months ago and still have not got the goods, nor any response from them either by phone or email.

I too appear to have fallen for this scam but I have paid via PayPal so I am hopeful of a refund through them.

The PayPal account that was used by midland plastics was of Wana ltd which also own plastic sheets.com and wood sheets.com amongst others.
The phone number associated with the PayPal account used to take my money from my midland plastics order is: 0116 296 2938 this is answered by plastic sheets.com. I hope to get a refund via PayPal but if i cant get anywhere with that i will be chasing Wanna ltd directly or via plastic sheets for a refund.

To follow up:
I opened a case with PayPal for a refund and miraculously my order was ready for dispatch within a couple of hours and delivered within a couple of days. I would recommend that anybody that is out of pocket for an order that has not appeared to chase it up using the details above

Have not received product and have contacted the bank.
Was advised by the bank that our money was withdrawn as soon as we made payment so they cannot refund us. .
Phone is disconnected and emails are not being responded to.
Bank has advised I file a report with Action Fraud, which i have done.
Advise anyone else that is in the same situation to report to the police as well.

Placed an order for a piece of plastic on 9th September. Paid twice as much for delivery as I did for the piece of plastic, so was not happy when it still hadn't arrived after the 10 working days that was the maximum I should have have had to wait to receive it. Have chased up twice since and have heard nothing, just tried calling them but the line is dead.

Upon the advice of other reviewers, I will be trying to get a refund asap.
