Glad not too much plastic waste like others.
Menus and quality of ingredients is…
Menus and quality of ingredients is excellent, and I find them to be far better that Gousto. For example vegetables are clearly much fresher as they will last sometimes almost 2 weeks after delivery, whereas for Gousto you are lucky if they even last the week. You pay for this of course, fortunately I am a light eater and each serving lasts two meals for me which is the only way its cheap enough to use.
Customer service has always been excellent
Customer service has always been excellent and this is one of the reasons I keep buying from mindful chef. There are always times when things don’t go to plan but I think what matters is how well things are handled.
I am a good 85 year old cook
I am a good 85 year old cook and did not relish the idea of meals in a packet ! However the process is simple, the dishes are easy to follow and I make them while listening to the 6pm News ! The ingredients are fresh and fist class quality. I am now hooked on the service, the quality, the ease of preparation and great customer service. A whole new culinary experience !

Delights in a box
I’ve found it great to be able to choose a few different meals that are easy to prepare and arrive on the doorstep weekly and I know all the ingredients I need are in the box. No more finding I’ve forgotten things at the supermarket. Meals for two usually means we have leftovers as the portion sizes too is generous.
Lovely Grub.
Great recipes and tasty outcomes! Veg is always fresh and healthy looking. Generous helpings too.
Food and menu’s are perfect
Food and menu’s are perfect for our nutritional needs. My wife has a terminal illness and they are making it better in terms of dietary needs.
The service and meals are excellent
The service and meals are excellent. Highly recommended
Excellent good quality food
Excellent good quality food, perfect for coeliacs like myself and some family members. Good sized portions. As an experienced cook, I sometimes find the method of work not to my liking. I always read the recipe twice as on a number of recipes I have found better ways of making it. I will adapt to use my air fryer for example.
It’s like going out for a meal but costs less
The quality of the ingredients is always consistently good and the receipts are tasty and imaginative.
Having had a hectic 4 weeks at work, we’ve ordered once a week. It means not only are we eating healthily but the meals are truly delicious. My only suggestion would be to put some of the recipes on again a week or 2 later. Perhaps through the review process?
Love Mindful Chef
Love Mindful Chef, great recipes, easy to cook, fantastic ingredients and exceptional customer service
-1 STAR!! Serious concerns: food safety, harassment, and disability discrimination
I previously left Mindful Chef due to poor food quality, delivery, and extremely poor customer service.
Unfortunately, my recent experience confirms that nothing has improved, despite assurances to the contrary.
After formally requesting -multiple times, to be removed from all contact lists, I continued to receive; letters, phone calls, texts and emails. This unwanted contact caused significant distress and seemingly is a failure to comply with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which require organisations to stop direct marketing when consent is withdrawn. The volume and persistence of this contact amounted to harassment.
I also experienced disability-related discrimination, which raises serious concerns under the Equality Act 2010, particularly around reasonable adjustments and the way I was treated by customer service.
Despite my better judgement, I was persuaded to place a one-off order last week after being told the company had undergone a “full revamp” with new staff and procedures. She was forceful and a challenge to get off the phone! And, her statement was clearly untrue.
I ordered smoothies only, which should arrive fully frozen and still fresh. Instead, they arrived as melted slop, with contents visibly degraded, gone off and unsafe! Consuming them could have caused significant illness.
This raises alarming concerns under the Food Safety Act 1990 and food hygiene regulations, as food must be supplied in a condition that is safe and of satisfactory quality.
I then had to fight customer service (again) for a refund -ultimately involving my bank to recover the funds.
Despite the inconvenience, distress, and the cost and effort of disposing of spoiled food at a waste facility myself, Mindful Chef refused any compensation of fuel, time, stress, or even a basic ‘goodwill’ gesture -offering only generic statements about being “committed to excellence”.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. This order met none of those standards.
I do not recommend this company.
My family, friends, colleagues, and associates share the same view, many having stopped using Mindful Chef after their own alarming negative experiences.
Be warned: your health, dignity, and peace of mind are worth far more than convenience!

I have really loved the quality and integrity of your meats and fish.
The scheme has made weekend cooking a thing to look forward to, and I am cooking with different methods, new flavours and enjoying every dish that has been delivered.
The box scheme has got my husband joining in with the cooking now! A real bonus.
The healthy aspect of each dish is great and has increased our vegetable consumption too!

We just love Mindful Chef!
We just love Mindful Chef! We spend a few months out of the year here in the UK from North America and no meal prep delivery company compares to them. Their vegetarian selection is unmatched, especially when being conscious with carbs, and quality is so good. Customer service has always been super quick and helpful. We love this company! Wish it was worldwide!
