Lack of transparency and service mindset
I have been a member of SATS Hørsholm for quite some time and have experienced repeated increases in the monthly membership fee in one year. In itself, this can be accepted provided that service quality and transparency increase accordingly.
What caused my dissatisfaction was required to charge 149 DKK for a body fedt analysis. In practice, this simply involves the member stepping onto a machine, without any personal guidance, additional service, or consumption of materials.
There was no clear information provided in advance about this extra charge, and I had previously used the machine without being informed that a fee applied. This creates a sense of ambiguity and a lack of fairness toward loyal members.
For me, this is not about the amount itself, but about the principle. When fixed facilities in a gym with an already high monthly fee suddenly require additional payment without added value or explanation, the relationship begins to feel more like “payment over service.”
It is this lack of transparency and human-centered service that makes me unlikely to renew my membership.

POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!
Most unreliable Sportclub - it's dirty never cleaned properly and THEY RAISE MEMBERSHIP with an absurt amount which is even ILLEGALLY - every year out of proportion percentage. DONT SIGN UP!!!
And the customer service is worse - they don't take anyone or anything serious - it's only due to their strong position in the market they can do this...... Be aware before signing anything(!)!()!()!()!()!)

Don’t believe any word of what they say! It’s a trap!!!
No response ever - bút text messages if you don’t pay within 48h you will get a fine….
And creasing membership with more than 20% each year - more than 300% increase in 5,5 year is NOT a reasonable or legally approved increase/ adjustment - it’s out of proportion and terrible! Especially in regards to the service level, dirtiness and unsafe situations in the sauna (benches literally broke down (mind you my weight is 51kg) and their response; oh we will have a look have a good day?!?!)

When I started training with Artur Souza, I was suffering from a herniated disc in my lower back and persistent spinal pain that affected my daily life and mobility. I was careful and concerned about training, but from the first sessions Artur showed a high level of knowledge and responsibility.
He designed a program specifically adapted to my condition, focusing on safe movements, core stability, posture, and gradual strength building. He closely monitored every exercise and made sure I never pushed beyond what was appropriate for my recovery.
Over time, my pain reduced significantly, my movement improved, and I regained confidence in my body. I am genuinely grateful to Artur for his professionalism, patience, and support. Thanks to his guidance, I feel much better today and can train safely again. I highly recommend him.

Artur Amaro De Sousa at SATS Adelgade is the real deal. Personal Trainer, nutritionist, motivator, and just a good human. I started PT sessions with Artur 6 months ago with recutting foot pain, knee pain, back pain and shorter pain. Today, these ailments are virtually gone. I’ve lost fat and built muscle mass, and now seeing a noticeable physical difference. But most importantly, I’m stronger and healthier thanks to this guy and the continued progress is motivating. The gym and overall experience with staff at SATS Adelgade is also great. Can’t wait to see the results Artur and I achieve together over the next 6 months!

I absolutely love this chain, but mostly go to the Fisketorvet branch. Have been coming here on and off for 8 years when I've lived in Denmark (4 years) and then when visiting (often). The facilities, classes and instructors are brilliant, and I love the app as it rewards you for attending session. I have a special shout-out to Matthias who I think is the manager (have seen him in Fisketorvet for many years now). He once sat with me after I had a panic attack to make sure I was okay, and checked in with me at reception after I hurt my back (playing badminton - not in the gym). He is a really exceptional member of staff, although everyone else there seems brilliant too. Thanks for having me all these years!

I visited Copenhagen for a week in November while on vacation from Hawaii and needed a full service gym to workout at and decided to give SATS a try at their Vesterport location. The gym itself is well equipped with squat racks, a variety of well maintained machines, free weights, classes, cardio machines, a free-workout area and more! I was greeted at the door by Justin, who gave the most amazing service I’ve ever received at a gym while traveling abroad, explaining the local customs, giving me a tour of the facility and really helping me feel welcomed and at home. Five star service from him and the rest of the crew at SATS Vesterport!

I have been a customer of SATS for almost 2 years and I’m so happy!!
My favourite part are the classes they have because for me it gets lonely and mostly because I don’t know how to train on my own and what to do
But after trying so many classes I can see how my health and energy has improved and I will continue to be part of this great Gym.
Their customer service it’s also always friendly and helpful 🫶🏾

It would be great if more attention was paid to this issue.

Sneaky company with underlying money making schemes. Much better options out there.
They screw you over with billing, far too expensive for overly packed gym where half the machines are out of order half the time. Customer service is very hard to contact, they will squeeze money out of you when you cancel the membership. Then when you do cancel, they throw reductions at you to try and keep you. For what reason is there 2 months extra payments after terminating a membership? Its in your T&C's sure, but this is clearly in place to catch people out.
It is funny that with the number of reviews stating the same issue, SATS does nothing to improve on this. Its simple product improvements, identify recurring customer issues causing bad reviews and improve clarity. Instead you run with it, clearly customer experience is valued less than squeezing an extra months pay out of people. Lousy and shortsighted.
