They are so helpful and knowledgeable about photography that I am learning a lot from their modules. Whenever I have a question, I receive a reply within a couple of days. Assignments are graded fairly quickly with very helpful feedback! I would definitely recommend them!

The PI provides very good technical material and quick, effective useful feedback by the tutor. The explanations are detailed and specific. The website is user friendly. Assignments really help to learn. I highly recommend the course which is affordable for such good results. However, the advanced modes are slightly expensive.

This course on photography has been a game-changer for me. Steven Vote is a wonderful mentor, and the modules are engaging. I fully recommend this course to kick-start your interest and career in photography. You won’t be disappointed.

I want to mention that I’ve been really enjoying the photography institute course so far. I consider myself a beginner and I feel very confident in my knowledge now thanks to the thorough detail George has provided in each module, plus the assignments are really enjoyable!

I am thrilled to write this review for the Photography Institute. I graduated in 2023 with the Diploma of Professional Photography and immediately followed up with the Advanced Module in Perfect Portraiture. I am now actively applying the knowledge and skills I gained, and it has genuinely elevated my career prospects.

The core Professional Photography Diploma provided an incredibly solid foundation, covering everything from technical skills to business essentials. The course structure was flexible, allowing me to study at my own pace, which was essential given my busy schedule. The module content was engaging and the assignments were challenging yet rewarding.

The Perfect Portraiture Advanced Module, which I completed in May 2025, was the ideal next step for me. It provided specialized, in-depth techniques that not only improved the quality and consistency of my client work but also gave me the confidence to launch my own portrait and boudoir photography business. I highly recommend taking the advanced modules; they offer a crucial step beyond the diploma for niche focus areas.

Since graduating, I have successfully launched my business and feel confident and prepared to work as a professional photographer. The education is practical, exceptionally well supported by both the tutors and the institute staff, and offers excellent value for the investment. If you are serious about photography, this institute provides the tools and training you need to succeed.

The professor and support staff are extremely helpful and quick to respond. The course is very thorough and very useful for a beginner like me. It has helped me grow and better understand different aspects of photography. I do recommend!

As a true amateur i was looking for a course that could help me with photography and the use of my camera. Each module is well presented and easy to understand. A true eye opener for me with the world of photography. I recommend this course to everyone.

I couldn't be happier. Photography is an old wish in my life, and when I got my first camera, I started learning. The online offerings are extensive, and I was not sure where to start. I did a few courses online, but nothing I can compare with this one. I love the information, very detailed, and the best part is the possibility to interact with your teacher and the community of people taking the course.
Reading and sending assignments is easy online, but not often do you find real feedback provided and tailored to your needs, making you grow.
My teacher was George Seper. I can't say enough good things about him.
This course was not just to improve my knowledge and technique. I'm definitely a happier and better person after this.

This is a great course that covers a lot of ground, really a lot. The personal involvement of the instructor, George, has been particularly valuable. There are a number of areas where I am weak, and I would like to have seen more emphasis on these. I very much appreciate the slow pace, that is, that I have a lot of time to mull over my answers to the exercises.

There is a lot of great information and feedback given back when you receive your marks back. If there were more step by step instructions and maybe video tutorials it would be more helpful for a visual learner like myself.

Love this course. I can work at my own pace and not have to worry about late assignments. Awesome mentors. Love the feed back and help with the direction of the course.

My experience with the course has been pretty good. The first couple of modules were a little dry, thankfully George's style explaining the material is very engaging and interesting. When I look at my pictures now and before, I can see huge difference, and I know I developed an eye for finer details. Before I used to think of photo merely by its composition, now, I think in terms of lights, whites shadows and darks, colors, purpose, my camera's capacity, etc.

Technically, I used to be very intimidated by photoshop, but the way they introduced small tasks in the course to break the ice between the student the program, sort of speak, was pretty inviting,, to get the know the application.

The course sometimes gets dry, but it wasn't that bad. The instructor and the student support center are pretty responsive, which helps a lot as well.

I can definitely say, this course is helping me in becoming a serious photographer, and i am very satisfied over all.

Taking this photography course has been one of the most enriching experiences for me. As a beginner, I started with limited knowledge, but throughout the course, I gained so much confidence and clarity. The lessons were well-structured, engaging, and incredibly practical. I loved how we explored everything from camera settings and lighting to creative composition and editing in Lightroom. Each assignment challenged me to see the world differently and pushed me to grow both technically and artistically. I now find myself noticing details in light, color, and texture that I never paid attention to before. I’m truly proud of how far I’ve come, and I can’t wait to continue this journey with my camera in hand. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore photography with guidance and inspiration!

I loved the one on one teacher experience, the content and assignments were spot on and most importantly I grew as a photographer. Thank you soooo much for teaching me the foundations to be a great photographer.

It's been great fun learning at my own pace and having all materials available at home. When I feel stuck or overwhelmed, I am comfortable reaching out for help, where I get a quick, clear response with constant support and encouragement. Whether you want to be a photographer as a profession or hobby, you can be assured that you will learn techniques and acquire knowledge from the pros who truly want you to succeed. Assignments are fun, thoughtful and relatable, allowing you to practice tips and tricks, deepen knowledge of techniques and be creative.

I'm learning so many things from about my camera and photography that I never knew before! My photography has developed so much and I'm loving all the information that I'm learning! My love for photography has only deepened since starting the course and I'm getting more and more confident with my photography and more willing to share it with others!

I have been a photographer for many years, but I wanted to go back and review my skills in a structured manner and learn additional technical skills that would take me to the next level. I found the course content at PI to fit my needs, and I signed up. I have completed 5 modules – almost halfway through, and I have not been disappointed. This course provides a technical overview of photography written by a seasoned photographer with decades of experience and the course material is relatively current. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on digital photography, the author compares and contrasts his experiences with film photography, which is still very much alive in the community. We are each assigned a tutor, and mine is an acclaimed professional photographer who is highly approachable, and affable and offers both technical and practical advice often on the same day. The twelve modules take the student through the fundamentals of digital photography in manageable chapters, and it allows students to garner enough skills to seek additional knowledge either through PI’s advanced courses or by further independent study.

This course is amazing! There is so much to learn from each module you read and each assignment you do. This course is also perfect for anyone working a full time job or has a busy life because you can go at your own pace. The assignments are easy to follow and if not, your tutor is there to help at any time. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is looking to improve their photography skills. I took a small photography course in high school and thought I had a pretty good understanding of it, this course proved otherwise. Definitely worth the money! 10/10
