Have used BL for years but now only use Brick Owl
Have used BL for years, Dans site was an absolute boon to all AFOL's looking for parts so what has gone so wrong?
Lego group is what - since they acquired the site it has become a hacked about mess, the unwarranted merge with Lego accounts was botched beyond belief leaving many buyers and sellers unable to login to this day. The merge has also broken many of the other linked software like Brickstore which is no longer able to sync with Bricklink.
Most recently they have effectively shut 35 major nations out of BL because they are to greedy to comply with local taxation rules.
Dan Jezek must be spinning in his grave!
Under zero customer support on critical issues led to money loss
Terrible support = inadequate support
Zero support = customer service ghosted on me
Under zero support = the platform didn't perform the necessary action from them causing my financial loss. Bricklink is now rated under zero.
I was a seller for a bit over a year, the experience was great until LEGO merged with this site. This August I have sold a set of LEGO and the buyer has paid through Paypal before I shipped it. I have been doing business with the same Paypal account for over £10k in the last year with no issue. However, I didn't receive the fund and reached out to the customer support. They basically gave me a canned answer of they have nothing to do with the payment and if it fell through that is on me. They then asked me for my details for a follow up, that of course didn't happen. It was in late October.
After reading the review on here there is another review complaining about the same thing, and that reviewer said 'BL platform has to release the fund with Paypal' first. If that is true, without a competent customer service, BL is not a safe place to trade anymore.
Then, just now (5th Dec) I recevied an email from them demanding me for my seller fee. I cleared the payment and deleted my account with them.
Since LEGO is required and the login…
Since LEGO is required and the login combined I cannot Log In properly. I Log in and get thrown out at the same moment, this platform screwed up and the wrong accounts got merged with LEGO.com and its a big mess, I CAN NOT LOG IN ANYMORE! I pay Money for this poor service and NO communication but bots. Go to Brick Owl, you'll be better of there.
I used to love bricklink
I used to love bricklink, but now I can't get in because I'm 17 1/2 and not 18. Then it redirected me to the kids section. I feel that they treated me like shit.
Platform wont allow you to sell items…
Platform wont allow you to sell items unless you buy first and hope for positive feedback. What a stupid restriction.. don't bother using this site.
They don't want you to put it together
None of their kits come with printed instructions. So you have to fight with a device, a screen reader where you have to scroll instead of flip like you can do with printed manuals. The instructions printed are 814 pages because of poor spacing and layout. It literally feels like they don't want me to put it together. After printing, organizing and binding the manual I can definitely say this is the most boring and unsatisfying brick project ever. Solid DO NOT BUY.
They have lost my money
They have lost my money. According to PayPal, Bricklink need to release funds to my account before I receive them. My buyer paid his money and then Bricklink have just kept it. They took over 2 weeks to respond to my query in which they are now saying they don't know where the funds are. I now have a dispute raised against me in PayPal and the amount of money that I never received has been taken by PayPal to cover it. Meaning I have now lost £80
Scam Alert!!
Tried to register and had to verify my bank account. When I received a notification it said that the card was being charged over £300, I declined this and reported it with bank as to why I declined the payment.
On speaking to an advisor on Blicklink he wanted to see a screenshot of my notification which shows personal data to which I refused to do. I then was given a load of abuse and threats towards my mother in Russian.

I bought 10294 for Titanic and 21061 for Notre-Dame de Paris.
I bought 10294 for Titanic, and 21061 for Notre-Dame de Paris, they arrived from China via Holland to Denmark, within 1 month after ordering.
I have not yet unpacked them and checked if everything is included, or whether they fit, but I have noticed that there are no direct "manuals" included, so I will have to look around on the WWW to see if I can get a working drawing.
update will come...

Leaves customers paying double tax.
Bricklink is a VOEC registered company, which means they collect tax for my country on my orders so i dont have to pay the tax and extra fee's when i get what i order. The company is responsible to refund tax if the customer had to pay tax through the postal service when it arrives in their country. Yet, when i asked for a tax refund when i had to pay for mine a second time, they just told me that they sent it to someone higher up and never replied to me again. I messaged them for an update on 11/22-2024 and they never even replied to that. In my country there is a 25% tax, so i paid 50% tax on my order and theyre not doing anything about it. It was my first order and certainly my last. its been almost 15 weeks since i first messaged them.
Crap Service and cannot amend my wanted lists
Since Lego bought BL the prices have sky rocketed, there is now VAT to pay, I cannot amend or update my wanted lists and to add insult to injury I have complained both to BL and Lego and neither seem to give a shit. Customer service is non existent and no contact number. I begrudge giving them 1 star it should be zero stars.
I registered with Bricklink this…
I registered with Bricklink this morning and within about 15 minutes I had an email claiming to be from Bricklink itself.Thankfully my phone has sufficient security to pick up that the link the email provided was from a 3rd party NOT Bricklink themselves,so I deleted it and blocked the sender.
It would appear to me that Bricklink has no security,I also note the Dutch police consider it a scam site.So I have deleted my login from it and will buy Lego elsewhere.
Good platform, absent non-existing support
While it's a great platform to buy and sell LEGO sets, pieces and other related articles. The support simply doesn't answer any support tickets - at all!
Lying sellers, unhelpful staff
I purchased from a seller that improperly shipped a item. When I recieved the item it arrived broken due to not very good packaging and the age of the item. The seller in an attempt to avoid responsibility said I was the one who "broke it" by claiming that because he sent me pictures before he shipped it, somehow makes it my fault the item arrived broken. Actual insanity. I contacted bricklink customer support and they said to leave him negative feedback. Once I did the seller then gave me retaliatory feedback saying I broke the item. Vindictive feedback and sellers lying and making false claims is nowhere agaisnt their guidelines. The item arrived at the sellers house 4 days ago and I still haven't recieved a refund and bricklink customer support refuses to help take down the sellers slanderous feedback on my account. Do not use this website. Without PayPal you will never get a refund if a item arrives damaged.
Hackers paradise
This is quite disgusting and whoever is head at bricklink needs to go you've dragged this site into the ground and you've let hackers have free reign to hack everyone's accounts and to date still nothing has been done , mine has been hacked twice I've only ever made 1 purchase on there and my passwords are extremely hard and completely random so how did they get in ? , didn't get as far as starting to sell bricks and sets which is sad as I'm disabled and was going to do it to earn a bit of cash but I just can't trust this site at all
Bricklink dont care about customers
They care more about their sellers than their customers. they will let a seller walk all over you and slander you all because this seller is lazy and takes forever to do anything. so i sent a cancel request and he ignored it and they a few days later says im a non paying buyer. i just spent 400 dollars with them and paid promptly everytime and customer service blows me off and takes my bad review that i put up on him down and leaves his up. What ever happened to the customer is always right?
inadequate technical support
inadequate technical support - there is no guarantee that your issue will be resolved or it was decided correctly
a really good website for lego
Double VAT
Makes me pay VAT twice. First at their site when I pay, then the national customs require me to pay it again when the parcel arrived the country. Bricklink then refuse to pay back the double collected VAT.
