The company is now tone deaf to customers

Been with Host Papa for 6 years. This week their "migration" removed the ability configure online email interface and changed how support tickets are managed. Big changes in service were not communicated to customer before they made big changes ... happening in one day.
They keep raising prices without good service.

We recently undertook a significant upgrade to our infrastructure, aimed at enhancing the quality and reliability of the services we offer. Such improvements sometimes require internal migrations, which, while beneficial, can indeed present adjustments on the customer end. Our team sent out an email notification to let you know about the upcoming migration of your account.

One of the changes involved a necessary update to your DNS records because certain domain names were hosted externally. Our intention was to ensure that all services continued seamlessly in the upgraded environment. Notification of the required DNS updates was provided as soon as the migration was complete. I was having serious difficulty with a DNS issue for my website! Japhiel from HostPapa was honestly so helpful! After days of running around in circles, Japhiel had my problem solved in a matter of minutes! He was able to resolve it for me, even though it was a cloudflare setup problem! Couldn't recommend him enough!

Initially hesitant, but now fully converted! Fantastic support!

I will say I was fairly hesitant when our SEO agency recommended HostPapa, as, though I'd read enough reviews in favour of HP, there were a couple of negative ones (I think on Reddit) saying that they keep bugging you to upgrade (which, I mean, they are a business right?). I will say that my only other frame of reference was A2, and the difference in support has been night and day. The three times I've contacted them, I am not waiting around to get through, and they have been super helpful and even (the last one) fun to deal with! (which might sound strange, but it's true. As someone much less familiar with the deeper technical side of things, the agent didn't just blow me off; but took the time to look at my screenshots and guide me in what I needed to happen, and was very encouraging!!!). Fantastic support!

Customer Support Could Use an Upgrade

I've been with them since the very beginimg. They were a small mom and pop shop who gave great customer service and now I don't recognize the company at all.

They lack a sanely operated functional customer support. They rotate through multiple messages without paying close attention to DETAILS. Having just ONE support agent, or a very small team, to cover a single ticket, "right to the end", to complete "resolution", within a "brief" amount of time, instead of what could be weeks... would be a great improvent. The ability to build a rapor with a customer service agent is vital to the complete understanding and for clear communications of the problems. If details are passed over or if the agent just wants to move on to the next ticket, because they have a quota or something...? time gets wasted and it can drag on for weeks... when a simple converstaion back and forth, with one or two agents, "in a timely fashion" (instead of waiting for more than 24hrs for each reply), is all it would take to get a ticket possibly resolved within a day. I've seen close to a dozen people on one ticket, which, in my opinion, is ridiculous.
