This product doesn't do its job.

We bought the Monarch Scaleout Advance SA-22, we had a qualified plumber install it for us. And this product is not fulfilling its function, after a month of having it. We had the plumber come back and check the hardness of our water, and our water is still very, very hard.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we’re sorry to hear you’re feeling disappointed - we completely understand your concern.

We’d like to clarify that the Monarch Water SA-22 is a scale-inhibiting conditioner, not a water softener. It does not remove calcium or magnesium from the water, so standard water-hardness tests will still show the water as ‘hard,’ even when the unit is installed and operating correctly.

What the SA-22 does is prevent hard limescale from forming and adhering to surfaces by changing how hardness minerals behave in the water. Because the minerals remain present, hardness test results will not change, and this is expected behaviour for this type of system.

If you’re not seeing these effects yet, we’d be very happy to help investigate further and make sure everything is set up and working okay.

This is the third visit I’ve now had…

This is the third visit I’ve now had from Richard to service or repair my water softener (or my sons!). Once again he was very professional, arrived on time with advance notice and quickly resolved the issue and serviced the machine at the same time! He is incredibly knowledgeable in all things relating to water softeners and knows the Monarch Range like the back of his hand! I always feel confident in his ability and confident that the softener is working like new again on his departure! Five star service! 👍
