False advertising and still holding my $$$

Wanted to order an o-ring for my heater. Showed in stock in bold green type for the part and also said it was special order. I assumed that meant no returns on the part. Ten days later nothing from the company about shipping the part. After emails back and forth I am told it's technically not in stock just a special order. So a good bait and switch, take my money by saying it's in stock then wait to telle it's actually 4-5 weeks away, still waiting for a refund. Scam company

Do not purchase from this company

Do not purchase from this company. I was looking for a Hayward LCD pool pump interface assembly and called to see if I could get a discount code. The extremely RUDE and condescending female person that answered the phone not only didn't give a code, but she also INCREASED the price while we were on the phone. When asked why the price just increased, she said that she has to comply with Hayward's standard. I would rather pay more and purchase from another company that at least won't change the price on you right on the phone. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of websites.

Update: The owner just replied that they haven't inceased their prices. I have pictures of the original price of $379.95 and the increased price of $389.95. Please don't lie on top of everything else.

We have not had any price increases on any Hayward items this morning or afternoon. There would not be any incentive for our customer service to raise the price while you are on the phone nor do they have access to change pricing at all. We do not have any coupon codes as we sell the products at wholesale pricing.

If you have pictures of the price differences from today on our website feel free to send them to info@sunplay.com and we could look into what the issue may be. Internal logs do not show any price increases on this item today and customer service does not have access to change prices at all on the website.

The absolute worst customer service

The absolute worst customer service experience I have ever received. The person I talked to was named Chelsea and we canceled our order simply for the fact that she was absolutely the rudest human I have ever interacted with.

We ordered a $1200 pool light set with expedited shipping. The shipping policy says that orders placed will be shipped within 24 hours unless stated on the product page. I was told there was a 7-35 day lead time on the product I ordered even though that was not called out on the product page.

That wouldn’t have been an issue had it not been for the rude and condescending tone Chelsea had when answering my questions. Every time I would go to ask a question or give her context on why I was confused she would cut me off mid sentence.

I will never give a business my money that treats their customers like Chelsea did. Do yourself a favor and order from a different small business. Chelsea will run your business into the ground.

Buyer beware!!

Buyer beware!!!

Sunplay's return policy is not available on their website.

If you buy from this company, you are stuck with the item should you try to use the product, and the product does not solve your problem.

Was told that my Polaris needed a new control unit, upon ordering and plugging my device in; the issue was not resolved.

Since I plugged the unit in, it is not eligible for return, but their website doesn't tell you that at time of order.

Never recommend to my worst enemy

Not with this Company online after me sending an email still hadn’t replied after a week and then went ahead called them and they told me that the part was on back order and I had to wait another five weeks so total would’ve been seven weeks without any notification absolutely useless. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered a pool pump from them that the box was never opened we ended up getting the same pump from a local distributor faster so I called to return item. Just from speaking to Elizabeth I had a bad feeling that something was going to go wrong. They needed a picture of the box before it was shipped which I did. They were very strict on the rules of returning something we followed to a Tee. But got an email stating that the item was returned damaged to them with dents all over it. It was packed the way they sent to me wrapped completely in molded styrofoam that conformed the entire thing, there was no way it could have been damaged. They are complete scammers they just didn't want to return our money with or without a restockng fee. This company is a complete scam. Next, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! If you so much as open the box and don't use the item, they will not give you a refund. I returned a $300 electrical power supply for a pool vac and just plugged it into the wall inside my house to make sure it wasn't defective. I found out the same day that my vac motor was out so I never used the electrical unit, never took it outside. I packed it back up just as it came and returned at my expense. They have their unit back and refuse to refund a dime! They can ship it out to another buyer and double their profits.

Broken Used Items Received

Beware, learn from our mistake DO NOT BUY FROM SUNPLAY! This company has by far the worst customer service I have ever received.

Their representative Elizabeth with talk right over you, will not listen, takes no responsibility, and is just ultimately rude having no value for their clients. Our team called over 2 months to get this resolved and when I as the owner of the company called she first hung up on me, then proceeded to tell me our issue was our fault constantly talking right over me.

Lets get to the issue. We ordered an expensive $4K pentair heater. The box it came in had been repackaged and looked brand new, so we accepted it.

Once opened we received a used heater that had multiple parts rebuilt, the whole shell cracked etc.

They constantly blamed it on the shipper and would not replace the broken or used parts of the unit. We ultimately had to pursue a chargeback with our credit card.

Recommendation: STAY AWAY.

Fast shipping and good price

I needed 6 SR Smith pool lights for my pool/spa to replace dead Nexxus Savi lights. I bought 1 from an online retailer that was listed on the SR Smith website to test it out. It took them 6 weeks to ship. When I went to buy another 5 the price went up. So I ordered from SunPlay and received the 5 SR Smith pool lights very quickly and at a good price. Thank you.
