Good products, awful customer service

Vichy makes great products, but their customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Two weeks after placing my order, I received an email stating that it had been cancelled without any explanation, and I was instructed to reorder. When I did, the items were no longer on sale and the promotional gift was no longer available.

Shortly after that, I received another email saying that both my original order and my second order had shipped, which made absolutely no sense. I emailed customer service to ask for clarification and received no response. When I finally managed to speak to someone, I was told that someone would follow up with me—no one ever did. I followed up again and still received no response whatsoever.

For a company of this size, the lack of communication and accountability is shocking. Their customer service is essentially nonexistent and, quite frankly, embarrassing.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BUYING ANY OF THEIR ONLINE SPECIALS. I bought extra product so I could get the the amount needed for for the extra percentage off and gift. My product arrives no gift inside. The first call I made the customer service rep told me they ran out gifts and he would write the escalation dept to see what they can do. It was get close to tje end of the day and nothing I called back and this time I got a different reason. I was told the gift was on your order but because when you used the code it brought you below and you don't get a gift. THIS HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER. How many customers did they do this to.? I have bought Vichy either through Shoppers Drug Nart, Amazon or directly. I cam tell you they will never get my business again. Rip off

Beware: No cancellations, even minutes after ordering – ridiculous!

I placed an online order with Vichy Canada and tried to cancel within 5 minutes of placing it, but there is no cancellation option at all. I immediately reached out to customer service via chat and they refused to cancel, telling me I would have to wait for it to ship and then return it — at my own expense — to get a refund!

This is completely unacceptable. I’m writing this a day later and my order hasn’t even been processed yet, let alone shipped, and the fact they cannot cancel it at this stage is insane. Even Amazon, which has an extremely fast order processing and shipping system, gives customers a window to cancel orders. Every other online retailer I’ve used, even with short processing windows, allows cancellations before shipping.

Vichy’s process wastes time, money, and resources, and makes a simple action like cancelling an order unnecessarily complicated, it feels like they do this on purpose, completely disregarding customers’ rights. Extremely frustrating experience, I will never order online with them again!

toxic products and customer service

Tried to return their unopened toxic sunscreen with no luck, with the 3 weeks of purchase. Terrible customer service. Just looking at the First ingredient is Homosalate 10.72%, pls read below on it:

While some sources still cite it as safe for general use, potential risks include endocrine disruption and enhanced absorption of pesticides, with Environmental Working Group (EWG) highlighting its endocrine disruption properties and recommending avoidance in their EWG Verified products.
Key concerns about homosalate:
Potential endocrine disruption: Some studies indicate homosalate may interfere with the body's hormone system, though the evidence is considered inconclusive by the SCCS.
Skin penetration: Homosalate can penetrate the skin, raising concerns about its effects when applied topically.
Enhanced pesticide absorption: There is evidence suggesting that homosalate may increase the absorption of pesticides through the skin.

Same issues a many others

Same issues a many others. Terrible customer service. I have been waiting for almost a month for my order and Vichy won't do anything about it. I have contacted the courier and they are no help either. I will not be ordering from them again. I wanted to order in Canada but never again.

I ordered a few products from Vichy

I ordered a few products from Vichy. They delivered it to the wrong address and Vichy refuses to do anything about this. Their customer service is pathetic. They won’t refund me or replace the items they delivered to the wrong address. I will never buy anything Vichy again.

Vichy 72hr stress roll on

Vichy 72hr stress roll on - the best product I’ve ever used! I’ve suffered with extreme hyperhidrosis since starting puberty, it’s been the Bain of my life for the last 15-20 years. I’ve tried everything on the market including prescription treatments from the doctor and nothing has worked like this. It’s practically stopped almost all of my sweating from my armpits (at least a 90% reduction). I still can’t believe I’ve found something that works this well. I didn’t realise how deeply my hyperhidrosis had affected me over the years and this roll on has given back my confidence to move to around freely, lift my arms up without worry and just generally be a lot less self conscious. I’m writing this review after having used this roll on for just over 5 weeks so far it’s continued to perform exceptionally! It’s also prevented any BO smells from occurring which is another major bonus.

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service. I returned a product to Vichy (item had been purchased elsewhere) they received the return March 14, 2024 as of today May 28, 2024 I haven't received my refund. I called Vichy after I had a reaction to one of their products and was told I could return it to them and they would refund me the cost. Two and a half months later no refund and I keep getting the run-a-round. One person told me they issued a refund cheque, yet another said no cheque was issued that they would send me an email with a "secure link" that I enter my credit card into and they will put the refund on there. I've sent over 8 emails, spoke to customer service with no resolution. Just awful. I will never purchase another product from them again.

You have to PAY for the return postage, fill in a form that asks for the item numbers (which are not listed on the invoice more the site), and they want the products in the box they were delivered in (4 times too big, which costs even more for returns,).

It's a very nice brand

I've been using Vichy for a while but ordering through Walgreens. I like the brand a lot but when I went to re-order, it appeared that Walgreens was no longer shipping their products. I ordered directly from the site and it was easy peasy. I received my products in just a few days and they were kind enough to include some samples.

Worst Customer Service- but seems like it doesn’t matter to them!

I don’t usually write a review but I have to write this one to share the worst ever experience with the Vichy’s customer service and product. I changed my skincare products during my pregnancy and started using their LiftActiv Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules, but soon stopped using it because it caused mild burning sensation and dryness on my hands and face. Later I got an email that the product had a recall and I can reach out to their customer service for a refund. So I reached out to their customer service for the first time on 08/10/2022 and I was told to submit the proof of purchase. Once I sent that, I was told that I would receive a check with the amount of $59.00 within 3-4 weeks. I never received the check and nor any notification of the check being mailed, so after waiting for almost 12 weeks I reached out again on 10/31/2022 informing the same. On the same day, 10/31/2022, I got the response that the check was issued but because I didn’t receive it, the initial check would need to be voided and the process would take about 4 weeks to void the check and then issue a new check and I would also receive a notification when the new check is mailed. As I am writing this review it’s been over 14 weeks since I notified them about not receiving the check and there’s no update, I have tried calling them and sending emails in between but there’s no resolution. They even kept calling me by wrong name inspite of clearly writing it in the emails. I doubt they ever mailed out the check or are even going to refund my money. This was the worst experience and I will never buy their product again. I wish I saw these reviews before buying their products.

Vichy is a very bad company

Vichy is a very bad company. I placed my order online and I paid with my capital one card, only to received my order and the gel that I paid 52 pounds for was not inside the parcel. I have contacted the company for the past two weeks and I have not received any remedy for my situation, this is wrong for a large company as Vichy and I have not received a refund either. So I am urging customers not to buy any Vichy products as they are not a reputable company.

Incredibly bad

Incredibly bad ! After having a long debate about some products that gave me a bad reaction, I returned them very quick, paid postage and they put me on hold for so long with”the case is being discussed” to wait for a couple of months. I responded to all the questions, gave them all the details requested and after 1,5 months they refund me half of the money back. Waited again almost the same amount of time and when I wrote to them in my case, they blocked me or erased the customer care email id. HORRIBLE! a multi million company does this??? How? I can’t believe that they are taking money from people
