Deceptive Barcelona-based reseller

JRailPass are clearly paying Google for a top spot in their search results as they are one of the first hits when searching for "Japan Rail Pass" as my poor father did. The site has the tiniest, barely readable text at the top of the page that they are not the official JR site, but it is clearly their intention to dupe people into thinking they are when in reality they are a Spanish-based travel agency that take hefty "handling fees" and inflated shipping costs. Worth noting is that these "fees" are not shown until the last (payment) step. They do not mark up the price of the actual pass - they make their money with these fees (137NZD in this case and 84NZD in shipping).

JRailPass do warn if the shipping is not expected to arrive in time for the departure, so my father put the address of the hotel in Japan, but the delivery country was locked to New Zealand. Despite there being no such address in NZ, JRailPass still dispatched with UPS the passes to the non-existent clearly Japanese sounding address in NZ..

He contacted them, and to their credit they responded promptly, but charged him another $75NZD to re-send the papers to the hotel in Japan bringing the grand total to $2180NZD .. had he booked them directly from the official JR site it would have cost $1930NZD.

I tested making the same flow as he did, and while I was able to select Japan as the shipping country, I unchecked the "Send me marketing material" option and closed the tab before making a payment. To my immense surprise (not) this despicable company started sending me marketing spam from JRailPass .. and also probably not a coincidence that I started getting spam in Spanish for dodgy sites.

Of course I can't prove it but I also strongly suspect a lot of the so-called "positive" reviews of them on TrustPilot are fake, again, it wouldn't surprise me.

While they technically did deliver the pass (Note, it's not the actual passes, rather a printed document that must be exchanged for the pass), I strongly recommend people look a little longer down in the google results japanrailpass dot net for example - and avoid this company

Minimum order required

Ridiculous that you need to purchase a minimum of 300kr to be allowed to check out your basket AND they will charge you frakt on top of that. I just wanted one thing, which I didn't buy from Boozt .. won't be back to the scam of a online store.

Full of promises but no delivery

Ordered a book from early in October here without first checking trustpilot - fool on me. I was not one of the lucky few customers who actually got their order. I wrote to them twice, the first email they said there was an issue with the system, but promised to send it out asap .. of course nothing showed up. The second email went unanswered. Have initiated a chargeback with Mastercard. Stay away from this disgusting scam of a company.

Trustworthy retailer with extremely fast delivery

I have ordered from computersalg dk/se multiple times and have always found the goods to be processed and sent extremely quickly.

Have had a couple of issues with items damaged due to not enough packaging protection, but each time the RMA process has been quick, painless and computersalg give me good options to resolve the issue.

Special mention to Kristoffer in the RMA/kundservice department who has been a great help with resolving the latest return.

I will be buying more from ComputerSalg and can recommend them highly.

Lonnnnngggg delivery times

We ordered an automatic SimpleHuman soptunna in February with a projected delivery at the end of March. March came and went with the delivery date unknown. While I can understand the COVID situation has caused delays worldwide, SmartHem were not the least bit proactive in contacting me with an updated delivery time, rather I had to poll them for updates. In the middle of June the bin finally arrived. For over 4 months of waiting, we were given 10% off the price which feels somewhat unacceptable.

To their credit, the request-for-status emails I sent were always answered reasonably quickly by Sara who always kept a friendly and professional tone.

Would I buy here again? Maybe. Probably not.

Better than the reviews say
If I had checked this page before buying from Stor&Liten I would have been scared off. My experience with them however was fairly good.

Delivery was quick and the order process was troublefree. I had (have) some issues with the product itself (not the fault of Stor&liten) and found they are somewhat slow to respond to emails at times, but I guess this is due to summer. They did their best to come to a resolution with the manufacturer and while the final outcome was not perfect, I appreciate the support.

Expensive shipping…

Unreasonable and expensive shipping options

While I appreciate that teknikproffset had what I wanted, I did NOT appreciate that the absolute cheapest shipping option was 59:- .. which changes dynamically based on postcode.

They have a relatively high qualification limit for free shipping (>700kr) so I found myself needing to buy some other pointless crap to come up over that.

Seeing I was just buying a few patch cables, a cheaper shipping option would have been appreciated.

Professionals that deal with end consumers

Friendly and competent company. Even though they mainly deal B2B, they offer professional fiber products for us common folk as well which is great.
Shipping was initially a little expensive (costing more than the single cable I needed) but the staff were accommodating to send it as a varubrev instead which came literally the day after. Very impressed.

Above and beyond customer service
I have been very impressed with bygghemma on the whole. We ordered over 60m2 of flooring, and were able to see a sample in the visningsbutik as well as pay for the order there which was very convenient.
There was some mix-up with DSV (the shipping company), and the order sat in their warehouse for two weeks with no action with a big risk for delaying my builders. But after getting in contact with customer support, every single person I dealt with was helpful and professional and followed up with me. There was one package of flooring which was damaged in transport, for which Bygghemma sent a replacement for as soon as I notified them about it.
I would recommend bygghemma for your home renovation supplies.

The Malmö store saved the review
We ordered some outdoor furniture from trademax after trying it out in the store and finding it to be surprisingly comfortable. Josefine set up a cart for us and then I just needed to pay for it at home once we had checked the measurements. When I went to try and pay for the cart via mastercard I got a 404 error and a message to contact trademax. I called their support and as directed, pressed 2 for for payment issues. I was transferred to an extremely bored and unhelpful guy at Svea ekonomi who told me to contact trademax support (where I had just been). After pressing him, the most he could come up with was "try again later" - useless. Needless to say, I tried again the next day and managed to finally make the payment. The order arrived 3-4 days later, delivered by the most friendly and helpful delivery driver that even wheeled the stack of boxes up to the end of the path (most other deliveries end up at the tomtgräns)

The furniture itself is OK. A bit plasticy, especially the furniture feet that took ages to screw in and give a bit of the "cheap and nasty" feeling.
We realised once unpacking that we needed to order another middle section, and I went to place the order online - luckily it was in stock, but they wanted to charge another 395:kr- in "expeditionsavgift" which we already paid in the last order. Despite explaining to the polite yet unhelpful customer service rep that we literally made the order last week, and this middle module was a fraction of the price of the main order, she could not waive the fee.

I was ready to give up the idea, but decided to visit the Malmö store and struck it lucky with an extremely helpful, smiling and friendly staff member who helped me place the order and was completely understanding that it should have been part of the last order and neutralized the charge. In other words, she completely restored my faith in trademax, at least the customer service part.

My advice - talk to your local trademax. Often they will be able to help you better than the online customer support.

Spammy and irritating company

Spammy and irritating company, avoid!

I made the mistake of ordering a diskställe on Linea some time ago, and while it arrived reasonably quickly (I had to collect it from a Bring utlämningsställe, the nearest one being next town over), it didn't suit our bench so I returned to the drop off point the next day. What ensued was over a month and two phone calls before I got my refund, apparently Bring had lost the return (which turned up after a month). Linea was at least good enough to return the money, but I had to push them.

I thought that was it, but then I was still getting spam emails (which I unsubscribed to) and even SMS messages about once per month. There was unsubscribe instructions in the SMS, apparently I was meant to send "LINEASTOP" to 71550, which I did. The joke was on me though, as I immediately got a reply "Thanks for your subscription! The catalogue will be coming in the post"... What the actual f***?!
Sure enough, their bs catalog ended up in my mailbox, and promptly in the recycling. More addressed spam coming via mail which ends up straight in the bin.
Will never buy from this company, and the only reason this is not a 1-star is that the kundtjänst I spoke to were friendly.
