My Truthful Work Experience With “Provincial Smart Home Services” (Formerly Home Care Now)!
Approximately back in December Of 2020, I found this job through Indeed.com when the company was called “Home Care Now“. I applied for this job because of my Strong Telemarketing Background in dealing with Windows, Doors, Backup Water Valves, etc. and got hired right away based on my credentials in their very small, start-up office which Grew Way Too Fast For Their Own Good!
When I started here, we used a system called the Portal and it was Super Amazing and Quite Easy and Efficient to use. Carter was my trainer at that time and he was Excellent in training ME. I was hired to book appointments for customers to get free assessments in order to hopefully buy products that they actually need at reasonable prices such as Water Heaters, Furnaces, etc.
I was Not the sales person going to the doors so I did Not know all the details of what went on during the appointments since the owners really did Not Want Me Knowing What Goes On, but it did Not take ME long to find that out from the many customers that I spoke to over the phone who called their company a Scam almost every single day that I was working here and I could Not understand Why for quite some time, but it eventually made sense to ME based on the Very High, Over Inflated Prices that they charge their customers compared to other competitors.
Fortunately, the customers have ten (10) days to Cancel if they are Smart Enough and have done their Homework and as a Homeowner, I would always get a Second (2nd) and even Third (3rd) Opinion when it comes to buying HVAC equipment, but from what my understanding is coming from the customers, they told ME that the sales representatives would basically tell them that they really need to make up their mind now on the spot or they will Not Get The Deal that they offered them. Please Note: As a Homeowner, you need to get more than one (1) opinion on products like this just to make sure that You are Paying the Right Price! That is just Plain,Basic, Common Sense!Another Reason Of Why Customers Called This Company A Scam: Many of the Appointment Setters such as Carter were Lying To Customers By Falsely Telling Them That They Do Not Have To Pay Out Of Pocketbook which is Hogwash! I Never,Ever Said That To Customers Cause It Is Way Beyond A Lie and Any Customer Would Know This During The Visit!Please Remember This Line If Anything From My Truthful, Negative Review! Nothing Is Free In Life! Absolutely Nothing! Moving Right Along: I was very Successful at this job in making constant appointments and getting Extremely Small Commissions of ONLY $25.00 Dollars per sale in Return which is Not Even Close To The 1% That All Of The Other Companies Were Paying Me which was the Standard Commission In The HVAC Industry For Making Successful Appointments that Sell!I can Not even reiterate on how many times I brought this up to Moe and Khalid, the owners (face to face) and via text messaging and they Promised to Make Up The Difference for ME which obviously Never Happened!Moving Forward: At the very beginning I worked a few days per week because I had another job that I was also depending on but since I was so good at what I did, one (1) of the owners asked ME to work more days and I eventually Quit All Of The Other Jobs that I had and decided to Work There Full Time which was good because I needed the money. I moved up to like working for them five (5) days per week and then to seven (7) days per week.
