Late night Christmas Day pickup and everything was fine

We needed picking up in Sidcup at 11pm on December 25th, and taken 30 miles to north London. The driver turned up on time and messaged me, helped us with a few Christmas presents and gracefully ignored that me and the missus were a bit merry. Drove us across town swiftly and safely and wished us well on our way. Basically I couldn't have asked for a better service.

Just wanted to balance out some of the moaning on here because not enough people bother writing reviews unless they're complaining.

Excellent customer service

Fair pricing for a ticket and good delivery, communication etc. But then the event was cancelled and you might expect a refund to be tricky in the time of Covid - but it was no bother at all. Asked me to send a photo of the ticket torn in two (other places make you post it back), and when I did so I got a refund within two minutes. That's how it's meant to be done and I'll make sure to use Gigantic over other ticket sellers in future.

No complaints here

Ordered a 'Ceefax' mouse mat, with custom text. It is exactly what I ordered, came on time etc. A bit small for a mouse mat but I didn't check the dimensions before I ordered so I can hardly moan about it now. Yes, overall very happy with it, thanks.

Thoroughly recommended

Very pleased. Good quality meat, and plenty of it. Got the Family Box and four of us had no chance of eating all of it so it worked for dinner the next day too. Easy to barbecue. Next day delivery too. Pretty much no down side!

Two great CDs for a quid each!

I still collect CDs. It's not obvious why, to me or anyone else, but I do. And wow, when I find a gap in my collection the first place I go is Music Magpie, and they very often have what I want, very cheap. I just got an album I was looking for £1.99 in a BOGOF offer, and got a second one free that turned out to be quality too. Two great CDs for a quid each!

Review of Loaf

Staggeringly useless

Ordered at the end of November, promised delivery before Christmas, but eventually found out that wouldn't happen after various fobs and prevarications from Loaf. Got a 'temporary sofa' delivered to tide us over until expected delivery today, the 28th, when they'd also take the temporary one away.

Delivery slot came and went. Called Loaf - seems there's a 'note on the system' saying the sofa and armchair are not even 'expected at the warehouse' until mid- to late-January, so no idea why we'd been given a delivery slot of the 28th. No delivery slot exists for this furniture and none can be given for at least a couple more weeks, probably more.

Seemingly Loaf's best efforts now involve saying 'Sorry, but there's not a lot we can do about it', and at least partially blaming a delivery company called Wincanton. Interesting move, blaming a delivery company, when you've just told us this custom sofa and armchair haven't even been made yet.

My suggestion would be, if you decide to use this company, at every stage of the process phone them up to make sure what you've been told isn't a steaming pile of horsesh!t.

Edit: and for the avoidance of doubt, I did email the address they've provided below. Two weeks later, I'm yet to receive a reply. Oh well.
