Seems I have had the same or similar problems to others after a free trial!!
Tastecard are refusing to refund the subscription fee, which I never knew was going out. I had an email asking if I’d Been enjoying my 3 months free trial, it prompted me to log on (as I hadn’t for 3 months) just to double check I had cancelled it, as I thought I had.
Upon logging on I received no information, not to mention I never received a tastecard in the post.
Based on the lack of information, like a membership number on the website I thought I had remembered to cancel it so wasn’t worried,but I’m the fee went unexpectedly.
I requested cancellation via email, explained the above and all of this was done at 6:30am (before the 5pm deadline they told me I had), however it took a few days of repeated emails and me eventually calling among my incredibly busy and odd hours for the company to even locate my account! Now they tell me I can’t have a refund as I had until 5pm the same day I was debuted, except, I did request this before 5pm the same day! Because they kept sending me the same emails requesting my name and address etc and that they couldn’t find me it’s actually their fault it’s taken so long!
I am beyond cross with this service because A; no card was received therefore I hadn’t even realised it was still an active membership. B; they’re saying my info doesn’t show online because I didn’t activate my card (again impossible considering I didn’t get one, which I have stated multiple times plus said on the phone) and C; they aren’t even considering the fact that I have explained financial difficulty due to my circumstances as a single parent in full time education on benefits currently.
I have launched a request through PayPal however I fear I’ll have to create a more official complaint. I’ve sent proof of the email I sent, with the time it was sent in hopes they acknowledge this. I won’t hold my breath.
*** Edit specifically to respond to Tastecard. You’ve not really understood and taken in what the actual problem I have personally is. Therefore, all you’ve done is show how competent you are at following scripts. Also, you as a company private message one thing but respond to my review with something completely different, trying to undermine my experience and personal, individual problem. ***
