Review of Icelandair

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Icelandair website does not work. Gives me a taste of the airline. Going to Helsinki instead

Have just spent 1 hour on the Icelandair website. Trying to get a ticket from Paris to Reykjavik. The home page lets me a simple to-from box. I enter the two cities. The next page pops up a new box that refuses to let me enter Paris. It somehow thinks that I am flying from Akureyri and Vestmannaeyjar, but refuses to let me enter any other information.
Deciding to go to Finland. So much easier.

Painful return on dangerous microwave that shot sparks and flames

Boulanger sold a truly dangerous Essentiel EM234n microwave that shot sparks and then flames. Have video proof. The Boulanger return process was painful, requiring 3 trips to get the firestarting microwave replaced. Took about 90 minutes to get it replaced in the Boulanger store in Paris 15. Tried doing a review of the item on the Boulanger website, but did not allow me access, even though I have the original receipt. I have no option but to replace it with the same model.

Review of Zoom

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Zoom has become a cluttered mess that requires 45 minutes to set up a meeting

Zoom was the ideal solution back in 2000 when I needed it with the pandemic. Simple. Straightforward. Could set up a video conference in 5 minutes. Some genius at Zoom had the brilliant idea to clutter it up with so many moving parts that it now requires at least 30 minutes to set up a meeting. I am now going to search for a simple solution that Zoom once was.

Refused to accept a 12 digit phone number.

I just wasted 25 minutes on this site, attempting to order bone broth. I was required to provide a phone number. Like Amazon and other online sellers. Then it indicated that my phone number needs to be 9 digits. Which I did. About 12 separate times. Each time in vibrant red, the following message popped up and never left: "Numéro de téléphone mobile (+33 xxx-xxx-xxx)*
"Format requis pour le numéro de téléphone mobile : +33, suivi de 9 chiffres." Oh, along with the ! symbol. With and without the country code of +33. So I am going to order a bone broth from Amazon.fr.

HA-S75N headphones: a waste of $99

The HA-S75N headphones are a waste of the $115 I spent on them (including tax). The instructions are useless. There are 5 buttons, and only the +/- volume buttons are understandable. The other buttons are not identified in the instructions. So we are magically trying to figure out out these waste of wannabe music that will never be heard.

Applicator does not function

This product has shortcomings. One, we are instructed to use one applicator per session. I only received 2 applicators, and 4 bottles of liquid. So, how exactly do I do this? Second, getting the lid off the serum is problematic. Impossible to do what this model did because the aluminum cover tore, and impossible to pour the liquid from the serum container and into the applicator. I am giving this a 1-star.

Reply from Seranovabeauty

Dear Harold, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We understand how frustrating this must have been. It seems there may have been a packing error, and we apologize for that. We will be happy to send you the missing applicators right away. For the serum bottles, we’re also sorry to hear that the aluminum seal was difficult to remove. This is not the experience we want for our customers. The serum should pour smoothly once the seal is fully peeled off, but since you had trouble, we can also replace the serum bottles if needed. We were unable to locate any order under your name. Please share your order number and email ID here or email us at [email protected] referencing this review so we can investigate your concern promptly and ensure it is resolved. Customer satisfaction is always our top priority, and we are committed to addressing your concerns fully.

Review of DoorDash

Door Dash rocks just delivered DQ to my ailing sister moments ago!

Door Dash rocks! My sister in St. Paul, MN just had knee replacement surgery, and was in great pain. Spoke with her, and she had a craving for a DQ Blizzard. I placed the order with Door Dash, and in less than 20 minutes, Door Dash was at her door with a fresh DQ Blizzard with Oreo. This made her day! And would not have happened were it not for Door Dash. Yes, it's not cheap, but for moments like this, it's priceless!

Review of Air France

Bounced from Premium to economy.

Months ago, I booked a seat on a flight from Chicago to Paris in Premium Economy. I have just been informed that they have decided to change the aircraft. And have bounced me to economy. I am 6'3" tall. And I have no regress. If I want to change the flight to another day, they will charge me $250. Beware Air France.

3 hour process getting an Amtrak ticket on their site/app

Bought my first-ever US train ticket. First went through the diluted process via Amtrak's site. Kept on clicking through, got msg that there was a problem with the system, and to start again. Speedier via the app? Not so fast. Entered the same information all over again. Tried logging in. Given choice of guest # or email. Tried my guest #. The system tells me to enter the email, dummy. Caved in, entered the email, and the password. System failure. Told to try all over again. I'm spent. PS: the system would not even let me pick a seat. So why did I just waste my time with all this?

Impossible to modify reservation

Have rented from Alamo 10+ times. Keeps getting worse. Today I am trying to modify an existing reservation. First, after clicking on "Modify existing reservation" on the home page, I need to click through 7 more confirmations that I really do want to modify. Then I reach my reservation, enter the discount code from the Alamo website, and I am greeted with: "ERROR. We're sorry. Please try again later." I guess that they're not wanting me to "Save $15 off $175 or more" after all.

Upgrade to Platinum at your peril.

I have just made the mistake of becoming a Platinum member. With each higher and pricier level membership, Tinder becomes more restrictive. This outfit's system disables online translators, making it impossible to translate profiles in a foreign language. Tinder has disabled the ability to do personalized Likes. PLEASE, DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE OF PAYING FOR MEMBERSHIP. You'll be sorry ...

Quality women matches. Limited app makes thoughtful messaging impossible.

What I appreciate is the quality of the matches. The women tend to fit well. Find the women to be well-educated, thoughtful, expressive, and attractive. Some decent prompting questions.
HOWEVER ... this is an app-only mobile platform. On one hand, this is for thoughtful people to express themselves. Yet, the only way is via a tiny phone app. Which way do you want it?

Bumble: discrimination + cyber-stalking's best friend

This outfit requires members to use their "real" first names. Sound good, right? Not the way this bumble outfit does it. Most quality dating apps allow members to provide a monikor that does not expose our real first name to online scammers. Bumble states that, if we "don't" comply, and this outfit finds out, we are called "Moderated" label, akin to an online plague. The estimated 85% of people using a more "normal" screen name like Ryan or William or Kathy go unscathed. Only when meeting in-person on the first meeting do we find that virtually every other member is using a false name. Virtually every single one. But if we have a name that sounds like it comes from another national origin (like Roberto or Tomas), well, suddenly, we go through the Bumble Fascists, who labels us pejoratively as "Moderated". We are the untouchables. And bumble has zero protection for members who use their real name.

Risky purchase: This outfit hides taxes until after the purchase

This outfit hides the total payment amount until AFTER we commit to paying over $1000 for the product. Specifically, went to order this directly from Omnilux. The total payment amount is over $1000. The tax line showed as €150, but there was a caveat that read: "The final tax and total will be confirmed by email or text after you place your order."

So, in other words, this outfit required us to buy the product and commit to > $1000 before we learn the exact tax. I did not buy. But I did the work to find out the risks.

Surf Shark's Clean Web impotent against iphone banner ads

SurfShark subscriber for 45 days or so. Been OK thus far, but there are issues. Such as, banner ads continue to pop up on my iphone. Yes, the SurfShark app is installed. Yes, VPN is connected. Yes, the CleanWeb is set On. Yes, I have turned my phone on and off since installing and doing settings. Yet, the banners on my step counter gloat at how useless SurfShark is against them. Banner ads 10, SurfShark 0.
