Horrendous experience

Horrendous experience. So confused by reviews, are we shopping at the same place? My first order - was so excited. The quality of products is horrible, the sizing is so ridiculous. I’m a size 16 UK so I ordered XL, there’s XL and then there’s this. Products are HUGE and for some reason, they assume because I’m larger I’m going to be a foot taller? Some of the trousers, no joke nearly reach my boobs. And then make it make sense, i order a L in a top and it’s absolutely tiny! Whereas I'm quite small on top I just have large thighs and bum. The quality was awful aswel, I know they’re cheap but it may aswell been a china order for even cheaper!!

I went to return it to find out I couldn’t return it, I feel scammed. I have to PAY to return it which I could have lived with, only to find I have to pay to return each individual item?! HUH?! And then only be issued store credit? Store credit from a shop I just recieved the poorest quality clothes ever from. Like what the hell. Was my birthday treat to myself and feel like crying. Waste of £130

Do not recommend at all.

I’d rather give no stars!

I’d rather give no stars!! HORRENDOUS company! Stay Clear.

A couple years ago I ordered an ice cream machine from these guys. I had a slipped disc at the time so never took it out the box to check (my fault). A couple weeks later I found it was broken - I contacted them and was told it was outside their 2 week returns period so they didn’t care. Even though I was annoyed I kind of understood hence I never really complained (although paying over 3 grand for a faulty ice cream machine is ridiculous).

Fast forward a few years, I foolishly decided to order some more equipment from them. After having an awful time with delivery (it said it was out for delivery when infact it hadn’t even left their site - but I had to spend a day chasing up as to why it hadn’t arrived when the text said it would. And as usual, no answers - long replies etc. Also lies when I was told I’d missed delivery now I had to pay for it to be redelivered (I’d been at the shop all day)!!!)

I then discussed with them on the phone their returns policy as I didn’t want to get caught out again! To then be told that basically their policy is “when the product arrives tell the courier to wait while you check your order and see that it is not broken. If you accept this product it is a you problem - if it is broken, it’s your fault because you accepted the product! I then said are you sure your courier would wait? I was assured definitely it was their contract”.

I decided to ring the courier company - Firstly to be told I’d been lied to on the phone as the product was late arriving to them and was infact not out for delivery. It hadn’t even arrived with the courier so I should not be charged for a failed delivery!! I then asked if they would wait for me to check the product wasn’t faulty when delivering. The courier literally laughed down the phone. They said absolutely not, no such contract exists and it clearly states in their policy they are a curb side drop off ONLY service”.

I decided to cancel my order with Adexa because there’s absolutely no way of covering your back and ensuring you don’t receive a faulty product! Their policy is void and they literally ensure you’re guaranteed to be a screwed over if they send out a faulty product (which clearly they’re well known for).

Cannot believe they then took nearly £500 as a “restock fee” and charged me £100 for a failed delivery attempt (which never even took place)!!

Honestly there’s no wonder why they hide their reviews.

I’d be ashamed of myself if I worked here.

TERRIBLE QUALITY - DON’T RECOMMEND

TERRIBLE QUALITY. Do NOT recommend. Purchased a few pieces from here and within 6 months they’re chipping. It’s nothing more than cheap MDF wood with wood paper glued to the top. NOT worth the money at all and would never purchase from here again. I contacted them and asked for a partial refund considering my furniture was falling apart - not even a response! Just terrible.

Honestly disgusted with the company

Honestly disgusted with the company. Got several quotes with them for car insurance at £82 per month. When it goes to me actually taking out the premium it went up to £130 per month. When I rang to cancel the policy they tried to charge me £219 plus keeping my deposit. I'm disgusted. Rip off of a company.

I hate companies with poor ethics.

Terrible experience with their after sales team (once they have your money obviously). I purchased a sofa from them recently along with a rug. When the rug arrived it looked completely different in my room to instore ( the lighting in store is unrealistic to your average home ). I simply rolled the rug back up and asked to return it to which I was told no. Telling me it's a custom made product which we all know is a lie considering it took days to arrive and they sell continuously. I absolutely do not believe there is magic elves behind the scenes sat waiting for every individual order before they get to work on your 'hand made' product. I tried to contact customer services assuming there was a misunderstanding here as it was simply a RUG I am trying to return. Not a custom made sofa? To which again I was told they didn't care and that I basically signed my legal consumer rights away in the T'Cs that we all know the customer sales team waved me right past telling me they'd already explained the process (To which they had explained the sofa was custom made and non returnable) But that was not explained with the rug at all.

I'd maybe understand if I'd had the product for several days but you can clearly see the product was delivered to my house and I contacted them a few hours later asking to return it.

I don't feel I was fairly informed at all, fobbing you off with ' you signed your consumer rights away ' is a cop out and poor business to be honest. It's just a legal back up but does not excuse bad customer care. I would never purchase a single product from them again out of principle and STRONGLY suggest people do not purchase any add on products they have such as rugs as clearly they have no consumer rights after purchase.

I'd also like to point out that their website gives a different story where they say rugs have a 90 day return policy. Whether that's a 'when you purchase online' rather than store term I don't know. However if is, again I'm highlighting how awful that is. There is CLEARLY a returns process but they just don't care because they now have my money and the legal T&C I got tricked into signing.

Thanks DFS for ripping me off at Christmas. All because you'd rather keep my £100 for a product that I don't want rather than obtain the same £100 from a different customer who would like the product. Doesn't matter though as I'm just a number. I also purchase a new sofa at least every 3 - 4 years so perhaps consider that £100 'loss' probably wasn't worth the following 15 purchases I could have made at at least £2,000 a time.

£100 > £30,000

Great experience at Cannock branch with Jayden

Writing another review but important to note that is due to an exceptional team you have in your Cannock branch who deserve recognition. Otherwise I still stand by my 1 star review awarded for your overall company.

I was contacted by your Cannock branch after I purposely missed an appointment because I was so put off by your over the phone sales team. The reception lady was great, really apologetic for the issues I’d faced (which weren’t even her fault). And offered exceptional service which convinced me to reconsider shopping with you. She also gave me the direct number for Cannock (which I was told could never possibly happen by your sales team). I then visited store on December 8th. I was served by Jayden. Jayden was great, he showed me round several cars I was interested in. Very informative, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. Extra brownie points for how kind he was to my 6 year old daughter. Thanks to his service I was more than happy to purchase a car through you (I’m awaiting the particular one I want).

I felt it necessary to point out the service I’d received in branch as I feel you have a great team behind the scenes and they deserve more recognition compared to what I can only assume is your head office sales team.

Not Sure How They’re Selling Cars

I’m really confused how you guys are selling cars. You have no infrastructure on communication. I’m trying to purchase a car that you have for sale, yet none of your team can tell me when it’s ready or where it will be once ready. It was suggested that it might be over 150 miles from me. I asked if it could be delivered (happy to pay) and the answer was no. I said I was happy to purchase the car before it was delivered, still no. I expressed how it was impossible for me to get there because I have a young baby and no car and there was zero solution. I then asked if you could discuss the warranty options on an older vehicle in another branch (which is still an hour drive from me) I was told no. I MUST visit branch to discuss. I expressed that I didn’t want to waste my time if your warranty options aren’t very good and again I was told MUST travel to branch.
Spoken to by a half arsed guy who has clearly seen better days and has zero interest in selling cars. I understand it might not be financially beneficial to your company to move cars but you still need some kind of system in place. If someone is willing to PURCHASE the car and PAY for it to be delivered - even if that cost is above and beyond, you should probably offer a solution! Really put off by your team. Will shop else where.

TERRIBLE experience

TERRIBLE experience. I’d give a 0 star if I could. Ordered a product costing over a grand ..

Incorrect tracking information, no way of speaking to anyone. Booked the day off work for it to be delivered .. nobody came. Tried any which way to call and contact Debenhams .. all that’s available is email or text chat with a 48 hr response rate. To be told it would take 8 days for them to get in contact with the delivery company and see where our order is. That means in total, 13 working days since we actually ordered and paid for the product.

I ended up finding out the delivery company information and contacting them myself, they was a little bit more helpful but still pretty useless telling us the pallet had been left in the yard and they’d “try” and get it out to us 2 days later.

Paid for immediate delivery, obviously didn’t get it and on top of that why am I doing Debenhams job trying to chase up where my order is! Obviously no cares given as they’d already taken our money.

Would never order from them again, terrible.

Poor quality and bad delivery service.

Terrible experience and wouldn’t order again. Order took ten days to arrive and genuinely felt like I was going to be scammed as there was no tracking process or updates on delivery.

I then received a random phone call with a man telling me to “open the door”. I was taken back and asked who was calling and if they had the wrong number. He repeated again “open your door” (There was no delivery van outside my house at this point and it wasn’t like they was stood waiting for me).

I (assumed) it was the bed so I opened the door. By this point, I felt uncomfortable to be honest. The men didn’t introduce themselves they just came straight in and asked me if it was going upstairs.

The bed itself - pretty poor quality. No instructions. Overall disappointed and I wouldn’t order from them again. However being heavily pregnant and sleeping on a mattress while waiting for the bed .. I can’t be bothered to return it and wait for another bed to arrive. Just wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.

Scam.

Scam.

I was approached by a door salesman trying to bombard me with endless information and sign up options. Regrettably I was actually looking for a milk service - however I was working at the time and said I didn't have time to go through anything. I asked for a business card so I could get in touch, the salesman avoided the question and asked me for my name and number so that somebody could contact me. I didn't mind, as I genuinely wanted to know more. I then found it odd how he was happy to hand me a leaflet with all the contact details on (afterwards) which is initially all I wanted. Thinking not much of it, I all of a sudden start recieving text messages saying my deliveries are due and they will be chargable!!

Confused I contacted the company and asked what this was about as I definitely have not asked for any deliveries. To be told the salesman had signed me up for deliveries!!

What an awful way to do business and they lost a customer as I genuinely needed and wanted a milk service but I'm not interested in working with immoral companies.

Do not recommend as it gives me little hope to what doing business with them would actually be like!
